4th inning Showdown trolled me!

Okay so I am going along in the 4th inning showdown and I beat the final Moment before the final boss. Great! I get a diamond player. I don't have any of those on the team and I could use a power bat.
Keep in mind, the final boss is a score so many runs in 20 outs moment.
I get to the reward screen and what does the game offer me? Four diamond starting pitchers! What the heck is the point of that since they can't be used in the final showdown anyway?
I managed to win the showdown but that got under my skin. Offering a diamond pitcher you will have no opportunity to even use is just trolling.

That sucks (but congrats on the win!) I don’t understand why BR drafting works so smoothly but Showdown drafting is such a crapshoot. For example, once you fill a position in BR, it stops offering you players whose primary position is already taken. In showdown, i will almost always end up playing someone out of position because it just keeps giving me OFers when I clearly need a middle infielder or whatevs.

It also just kept giving me OF the entire time. Surprisingly, this is the 1st showdown i completed on first try.

Those might come in handy in the final showdown or the other elimination showdowns. It doesn't really matter if you have guys out of position then, since you're only hitting and the defensive penalty doesn't negatively affect your chances.

Still, put him at catcher or some other position at which you don't have a good hitter if you want.
