Why does everyone want Felix?
-
My favorite player when I was young was Kid Nichols. When I saw him pitch as a rookie, it reminded me of my long-forgotten youth. Later in life, I became disillusioned with the flashy modern-day theatrics of players like Grover Cleveland Alexander and Nap Lajoie. When I first saw Jim O’Rourke animatedly grab his crotch while staring down Mordecai Brown, I knew the game I remembered from my youth was gone forever.

Ah, indeed! Kid Nichols was quite the prim looking stargazer I do recall! He made this new game of base and ball look like duck soup, I say!

I'll use him, my rotation isn't crazy anyway

At least the people mentioned are all Hall of Famers. Good story though lol.

I want to see that Torre card before deciding on King Felix.

Don't sleep on Nap Lajoie.

I dont want to take him, but I'd rather take him than Torre and Elsberry.

Sean Murphy rakes for me and Robles has been reliable in CF so he’s the only option I have

You win the Internet today. Nobody is topping this one. LOL!

Ellsbury looks decent, but holy [censored] they made Felix even better than I thought! His worst pitch is the sweeping curve with break and control in the 80s, everything else is NASTY!!!
I might have to grind for him all weekend cuz even though he's my favorite player I shouldn't spend $300 to get him a bit early lol. At 95 stars and I haven't started playing yet

Hearing someone say Felix was their favorite player growing up has never made me feel older. Thanks a lot lol
I envy them. Mark McGwire was my favorite player as a kid, so I hit adulthood just in time to find out that my hero was a cheater. lol
McGwire was my favorite too. Everyone knew he was on the juice, what we didn’t know was that practically everyone else was too.

Since I was little too young for the 1998 HR chase, my guy was Barry Bonds lol. He was an [censored] but man that dude knew how to hit and terrified opposing pitchers. I remember seeing him tee off on whatever sad M's pitcher we had out at the time. I think it was Bedard, a man I don't want to talk about.
