I’m not happy for a few reasons
-
No custom stadiums
-
Single A doesn’t have a full roster
-
Custom rule sets
-
Custom expansion
-
I’m thrilled with the idea of the having a custom team and being able to import it into a franchise but it’s virtually worthless without the ability to expand. I seriously love the game but feel the developers are not trying to make the best game possible. There is zero reasons a ballpark builder can’t be included in the game, even as DLC if they want sales. Only problem is online leagues could have issues but they can have a flag saying no custom stadiums in online. If you think about it custom stadiums have been in games since the early 90s with games like Earl Weaver baseball 2. The backgrounds can be customizable because that’s basically a green screen and the infield is generally all the same and all you need is options for the outfield fences , if people want crazy designs let them because you can default the outfield stands and leave areas blank for crazy shapes. It would also be nice to have full rosters of old time teams older games do this, I’m doing a series on my YouTube channel and all the teams and things you can do are insane that a game like mlb the show can’t do it today near the end of the console’s life cycle is staggering. It’s frustrating to me as an old school gamer to not think through that if you create a team in a different town , so if I moved from Philadelphia to South Dakota for example, I’d want an excellent stadium but having the background of another city is sloppy and I wouldn’t want the name Phillies on top of the scoreboard. It just doesn’t feel thought through even though we have been begging for it for years. I’m happy all the regular changes are made but generally you have to make those changes otherwise everyone would be really angry.

What’s the point of a full minor leagues if you skim off half the roster in single A? It’s been like it for years and I find it pointless for the roster to be there cause it’s only being used to fill up AA and AAA during injury plagued years. Maybe have a single A club that is full and call another roster minor reserves who are training to improve still and can eventually move to single A or be cut.
-
I think it would be nice like in nba 2k where custom rules can be voted in by the owners during the off season.
-
Randomly have teams move from on city to another maybe after a team has had 4-5 low attendance figures and they don’t have a stadium lease , then they could move. Just would be interesting. Also would be nice for expansions to randomly be added/expanded playoff possibilities/ shorten regular season?
Anyways if I have all these ideas for franchise the only think I think of is the developers are stuck in their ways and only want to make changes that effect people spending more money instead of making a solid title. That’s why I’m frustrated. Wanna know how I’m right? They wanted to jump out of Franchise discussion as soon as possible. It felt awkward to watch.

I would love the ability to export drafted players/teams from my franchise.
It would also be nice to be able to bring players into an existing franchise. For those of us who have been carrying over a franchise for years, it would be nice to have the ability to bring the true-to-life minor leaguers into our existing franchise without having to start a new one. Or the ability to export a current franchise player into a new franchise, so we can take advantage of the minor league roster additions this year.

Knock it off with the custom stadiums! Jeez there are around 50 stadiums already in the game. I would rather have SDS spend time on game upgrades and making the game better instead of wasting time on create your own stadium! It’s sad this is what people whine about. Most ADULTS would rather them add more classic stadiums.

This adult would rather have custom stadiums. Make my own classic stadium.

Definitely want more classic stadiums, but SDS have shown that they are not interested in doing that. So create stadium is next best thing.

I'm with u on this one their are other things in the game that can be done other than creating new stadiums. Gameplay always franchise mode trade logic incorporate updates in our franchise instead of having to start a new one. Ex players able to be mangers and edit managers. Is all more important things I believe need to be add instead of creating ballparks.

Being a guy who plays all 162 games, I'd love to see more game themes. If they can get the rights to the ESPN, FS1, TBS score bugs, it would be really nice to change it up every once in a while. Also, more stadiums would be nice, so some ideas I have for some would be:
Kingdome, Astrodome, Qualcomm/Jack Murphy Stadium, Riverfront Stadium, Municipal Stadium, Milwaukee County Stadium, Veterans Stadium, 3 Rivers Stadium, Candlestick, Olympic, and the old Tiger and Busch stadiums -

I also play 162 games, and I wish we had several themes to choose from.
Fresh commentary might be #1 on my wishlist. They just say the same stuff over and over. And it's very generic...I faced CPU Matthew Boyd and he had just thrown a Perfect Game in his previous start, but the announcers said nothing about it during their pre-game "pitcher review" remarks.
Honestly, the commentary is awful. I had Mike Trout at the plate and Darin Erstad on deck, but after the count went to 3-1, Plesac said he'd rather face the guy at the plate instead of the guy on deck.Realistic player stats would be nice too. I'm at the All-Star break now in my franchise and Domingo Santana is hitting .363 leading the AL.
More classic stadiums or a create-a-stadium feature would be nice, but I won't cry if they never come. Ebbets Field would be pretty cool to have though.
Another thing I'd like to see is advanced team stat pages such as batting orders and defensive lineups. A game by game history of those would be so nice. Just like the baseballreference.com team pages.

I would like the sound files for the names of the new minor leaguers added to the first and last name voice file databases.
-
-
Ability to create more than two uniforms for rebranded teams.
-
Enhanced record book that keeps track of top 10+ players of different stats and past award winners (similar to how NBA 2k has their record book in myGM).
-
Improved Hall of Fame tracker with more accurate representation of players being inducted.
-
Show player accolades on the players card (ex. All Star appearances, Silver Slugger, MVP, World Series wins, etc.).
-
More celebration animations for big moments (ex. walk offs, clinching games, game changing plays).
-
Ability to edit coaches.
-
Retired numbers.
-
New or additional broadcast crew.
-
Rain outs/double headers.
-
If not a stadium creator, at least one or two new stadiums included to use for rebranding so we aren’t forced to use an already existing stadium.
-
-
Editable draft class. First and last name audio for the minor leaguers and the draft class that I mentioned. As someone who plays every game including spring training, more spring training ballparks. Uniforms for all of the holidays.
