I'm not much of an online player (only 3-1 in ranked season games), but I am enjoying the current event. I have a question:

It seems rude to use the quick menu to adjust my lineup and manage my bullpen since the opponent can do nothing but wait. At least with the pause menu, it looks like they can work on their lineup, too. Am I right in assuming pause menu is preferred?

I usually just check my phone when op pauses so I really don’t mind either

With that comment and question, you can work for SDS and probably do a better job

What do you mean it seems rude to use quick menu? LOL Yeah, maybe you should message your opponent first, and ask him if it's ok to pause....you know, get his permission first. LMAO.

Dude, grow some balls and be assertive, timeouts are timed, and both sides get an equal amount, so use it however you want without being timid.

Not trying to come down on you, just trying to help you snap out of it.

Wow. All I am saying is that at least if you Pause the other guy can work on his lineup, too. When you Quick Menu the other guy has to sit there and wait. Not sure why someone always has to be an asshole answering an honest question about game protocol.

Are you really that concerned about your opponent sitting there and waiting for you to do your business? I wasn't trying to be an a-hole at all. Wow, you really do have soft skin.

I'm not hurt, or triggered, or thin-skinned. But when someone asks an honest question about how to play the game, and you tell them to grow some balls? You might be an asshole. 🙂

I agree with OP. Your answer to his genuine question was essentially, “Grow a pair and $&#% your opponent.”

You did kind of come off like an a-hole AND personally, I really find it objectionable when my opponent uses the quick menu instead of pause for anything other than something “quick” like to start a mound visit.

OK, I’m ready for your flame response now.

I might be an a-hole?...or I might be the friend trying to look out for you and tell you to stop acting like a sissy. But whatever you prefer.

Using the pause menu so that your opponent can as well is not being a sissy.

Ahhhhh, if you use the pause menu where your opponent can't, then he can as soon as you're done, duh. OR, he may not even need to use the pause menu, and only you did, sooo..........not sure what your point is.

For me, if I use the quick pause menu, it's because I want to warm up some relievers which takes less than 3 seconds for me. If I use the OPTIONS to pause, it's because I'm doing something else and prefer to see the clock, because the clock doesn't always appear on the quick pause menu.

I think the point was that while you are using quick menu, your opponent can’t do anything and is literally just sitting there waiting for you to finish.

Either that never occurred to you, or, more likely, you just don’t care.

Lol it’s well known that only the most alpha of males refuse to let there opponent do anything while they pause. What don’t you get? Stand there and play with your tiny batting gloves while the big dingers warm up Kluber and Newhouser in the second inning.

Well said, if you wanna get good at this game learn to use the quick pause option to get an edge on your opponent who is forced to just sit there while you pull off some insane maneuvers
