All their patches are bad because they don't address the root of the problem. You can have a great house (code) but if the foundation (connections) is screwed you don't really have much of a house. When I get better results on my mobile hot spot than with wired fiber, there is a problem. Soon as my good/good+ hits don't fall or my pitchers throw everything out of the zone or down the middle, I know it will be very hard to win. Basically need to face someone that can't hit middle pitches which my daughter could do.
You keep talking about connections like it is an issue...you are wrong and it is annoying to hear you cry about this non-issue

Makes sense you would say that if you are indeed from Chicago. We have an office there and the internet is not so good. Of course there is a chance I could be wrong. My mobile hot spot could be better than my fiber. Doubt it but possible.

Pitching is literally impossible now. It is so extremely easy to hit in this game and it’s literally ruined. I haven’t played a game where both teams had less than double digits. Now, you get rewarded for swinging at bad pitches and having okay pci placement. It takes skill to have perfect swings, but they are useless when they get rewarded just as much as anything else.
I appreciate the effort put in by SDS to fix things, but a failed attempt is still an attempt. This just didn’t work well. The issue wasn’t the pci size or the timing window. I still have no clue what differentiates perfect and good/good or good/okay results. At this point it’s just random.

If there was like a ‘bat’ pci which would make it more realistic there would be less complaints cause then its up to you on your timing and matching the bat with the ball, they need to add another pci aiming option
What’s funny to me is the guys wanting strict simulation. If they want that then they better use directional, and also anyone that sucks could still hit 330 with Yelich, etc. Bc that’s the only way it would be a “simulation “ lol

Players want to feel like they are in control of their gameplay. I play OOTP when I want simulation.
MLB The Show is a "simulation video game". From Wikipedia, "...since 2014 has been the sole baseball simulation video game on the market." Likewise, 2K is bringing back NFL 2K. They are calling it a "non-simulation." The term simulation for video games is different than talking about OOTP.

If you look at the various complaints about this game, most are about ways the game fails to respond to user input. Simulation is fine, but most of us want our use of the ps4 controller to mean something, not to trigger a randomized result.

2018 might have been the worst game I've played period. This doesn't even come close
This one is getting closer to 18 with each patch.
I can't speak to all sports games, but I have had this issue with Madden games in the past, as well. Albeit, I only played offline Franchise in Madden but I was big into using Sliders to get a good challenge in my Franchise and it was always frustrating when I'd find the "perfect set" for me and then along comes a patch and it would ruin it.
Yeah, I hate Madden now... I haven't truly had a good time playing Madden Franchise since Madden 08 on PS2.
