Is this the worst show?

16 was great gameplay if you screen out the bunt cheese. 17 was meh, 18 was the worst, and 19 was really great n comparison to all versions I've played since PS2.
I miss the viability of contact hitters. Putting pressure on opposing pitchers with singles, doubles and SB is so much more rewarding than the HR festival.

18 was horrible. 17 and 19 had their own issues. Don't know yet is 20 is worse than, equal to, or better than 18. Which I never thought I'd say.

I don’t expect a game to be perfect. But I expect the basic concepts of baseball to be perfect. Like my fielders running by balls. My perfect releases going down the middle

Who said anything about wanting a game to be perfect? Seems like most people just want an experience similar to mlb games that sds put out several years ago

I liked 18 it was just slower pitch speeds. Same randomness happens just with faster pitches.

The game was made before the pandemic. In fact it was a pretty good game right out of the gate. Pitching was as bad as it is currently but hitting was 100x better than it is currently (pre patch 1.11, haven't tried it yet). I will give you that its tough to fix the issues now, given that there's a pandemic, but SDS made the game before that. All the issues we are experiencing currently are due to SDS messing with hitting when it didn't need to be touched

I don't expect perfection, but expect it to not take steps backwards from the past years game.

Sports games need to come out every 3-5 years and not every year. Every year each game has inconsistant quality. And every year it's pretty much the same game with a few tweaks here and there. I don't make games but i'm pretty sure that you need more than a few months to make a new game. I know companies pump out sports games every year and the only reason is money cause people keep buying it, but sports games need to stop coming out every year cause the quality just ins't there.

Yeah POTM Mondesi was hot right out the gates. He’s definitely not as glitchy (for me) as he once was.

Dude this game wasn’t made a week before the pandemic hit. They have been working on this game after 19 came out. They had a long time to make this game better than it is way before its release.
