Hello, Evolution pack!

Evolution packs are nice too. I just think it is incredibly poor planning to let you earn a card playing completely offline and then lock the prestige version behind online stats.

As I said, I feel like these cards would work better as rewards for the online modes since offline players will not earn those anyway.

Probably going Ortiz(he will be useful as at least a pinch hitter for a while), and Smoltz

A big incentive for this would be guys who are just under thresholds. Like they mentioned 80 power. If you have a couple 75+ power guys and were able to get them over that bump it would be huge.

Could be beneficial to save if u havent done rtts and want equipment later or if u want to compare how certain cards play between the games.
Is there any benefit to throwing them away at packs? To me neither one is wrong, can always quicksell things later if u have a good inventory and no stubs. Probably wont matter either way

I guess we will see. I have said before that it makes more sense to me to use pitchers with, say, curveballs as primary pitches if you want to throw that high a percentage of breaking pitches. Does Lance McCullers have a deuce as a primary?

That said, as I mentioned in my other elephant thread, I’m not a huge fan of something altering your input to overly randomize a result. If you want to spam offspeed secondary pitches, I hope you can do that and leave the outcome to your opponent’s discipline.

It does make sense to me that it should be more difficult to do so with a pitcher who is less proficient with offspeed pitches though.

You still think cards will drop to QS value now that you won't be allowed to QS anything that's collected?

Yeah at worst you lock in 1 card ecerythingvelse after that can be sold so there is a chance things drop to QS value quicker the past years to try and get back stubs faster

Yes they should drop their most popular game mode for what they've said is their least played one

Last year the first program had a 91 Andrew Jones and a 95 goose and a 96 cy young I believe. So they were 99’s to start 19 either.

I agree, but also people find loopholes, those people make it suck for the rest of us.
If it counted for affinity, two friends create a league, play each other, and just leave the game running, so it just auto pitches and strikes them out over and over. They come back a couple hours later and they've done 50 innings x 9, so 450 innings total accumulated just because they could match up with their friends.

It's sad that people are that [censored] up.
I can see why it won't, but you and I both know that the league we have joined is not going to pad stats.

Just ruins it for those who want to play the right way.

My OG gameplan was to sell ALL my preorder Diamonds AND Golds and rebuy later in the game's cycle.

I honestly dont know what the gameplan is now. The changes made will have impacts on the game but to what extent and level is hard to judge. I am think as of now to play it safe, not lock anything in but also not sell off anything until the market stabilizes after the first 2 weeks after the full launch on the 17th

I agree with the first part of your statement, not locking anything in for awhile; but what do you mean with not selling until the market stabilizes?

I would assume you would want to sell anything worth value when it's first released because people will want that 'shiny new card'.

I could see waiting until after the original release date; as some people may not get the game early and will need to buy stubs to catch up.

Also, could wait until the first stub sale to sell stuff; since those usually inflate the market?

I'm mainly concerned about the Special Order Diamonds. Once people start hitting those packs, in the XP Reward Path and possibly Conquest drops, they may be the only cards that will hover around QS Value.

I was going to take Ortiz and Rivera (depending on attributes); but I may take the top two that are the most expensive and sell them right away.

I can speculate what I'm 'going to do' but in reality, until we see the reward path, market, etc; it can change multiple times.

Seconded. It's tough to even touch 19, because of all the stuff that's not there compared to 20. If the gameplay is even close to paralleling all the new content, it may become the best MLB The Show of all time.

Yea but some of those cards weren’t like the previous sig ones that had all attributes over cap and vision through the roof. They were way more balanced.
