I am the director of procurement at my company & I make $152k per year.

I’m a whale…I have no problem pumping money into these games if I’m having fun. But if I’m not enjoying myself, I take my money & go elsewhere. I filled out every survey & was very clear & detailed about how I spent thousands of dollars a year on The Show but won’t be going forward until sets & seasons are gone. I stuck to my word & apparently other people did as well. Good job guys & good job SDS on not choosing to die on that hill.

The fact that last year they were ignoring all sets & season’s questions until launch but now are announcing it before they’ve even picked a cover athlete is extremely telling. They had to have lost a TON of revenue on stubs.

I wonder how many of us that quit playing will come back during the Forever period. I’m planning to play a bit, but nowhere near as much as I played in previous years, or during S1 for that matter.

Ive been waiting. I quit when OOP cards came out.

Honestly playing season 1 and then playing other video games until forever season is my new normal. I used to play The Show year round but I personally disagree with SDS’s decision to change to this format but still love baseball so I have found this to be the winning formula for me personally.

It’s January 2025 when you get to use all seasons again. The graphic is correct.

The 2037 part is to cause hesitation for those that said they’d wait to season 4 to play again. SDS tricks lol, Unreal.

After starting my boycott of S2, I played regs yesterday for the first time this year…Gotta say “quick counts” is awesome. Makes the games go SO much faster.

I’m honestly wondering how many people that were planning on playing season 2 will start the grind & then stop after a couple of hours. I’ve seen people on twitter already saying this lol

Here’s the thing…I’m a whale. I freely & openly admit I am a whale. I used to spend $3000 every year on this game when I played it year round. Last season I stopped playing when the Season 1 cards were eliminated. I had spent $2000 at that point, Didn’t spend another dollar so that cost them $1000 from me. This year I have spent $1000 and am only playing regs come tomorrow. So that’s $2000 SDS is losing from me this year and that makes $3000 total since they went the route of Seasons. So yes….Myself & other whales can absolutely affect their bottom line. But please - Tell me how not buying the $60 game is hurting them more than this? Oh and SDS employees look me up and verify what I’ve said here for yourselves.

I truly hope you stick to your guns as this is the ONLY way to assure seasons goes away after this year. If you voice your displeasure, Nomatter how loudly…But then go and grind Season 2 anyway then SDS will see you as compliant and not care what you say as long as you play. And nothing will change. The only way seasons goes is if enough people simply don’t play the game - THAT’S IT. Because complaining on forums or saying you don’t like it on a survey does nothing - absolutely nothing if you play anyway. That is ALL sds will care about and nothing will change.

For those that are playing season 2 - This post isn’t targeting you, Have fun. This is just addressing the people that claim they are quitting on Friday. Those are the only people I care about right now & REALLY hope they follow through.

If I have a problem with someone I go directly to them to handle it. That’s why I dm’d you. Because it was between me and you, Was none of these other dudes’ business. But you chose to bring it to the forum because that’s what you do. You love drama & you love to talk…But backing up your talk? Nah, You won’t do that. I miss the way this forum was 10 years ago. Now it’s just been taken over by keyboard warriors that like to stir the pot but won’t do [censored] when called out. I’m done dealing with this soft typing [censored]. I’m out.

@Easy_Duhz_It_ I think you’re ALL TALK. Like to run your mouth at everyone under protection of anonymity. REALLY think if people had to be verified & post under their real identity then these forums would be MUCH more efficient & friendly. When people can say anything to anyone with zero accountability, What you end up with is this forum.

Why are you all coming at Keef with such hostility? So what, He didn’t know SDS would be dumb enough to do seasons AGAIN. Big deal, You shouldn’t have to follow a game on foruns, twitter, websites just to know what’s going on. I get what he’s saying.

@Easy_Duhz_It_ It’s not just ranked…They were clever yesterday in how they said it…They said that sometimes S1 cards will be able to be used in all other modes. They clearly fooled you & others no doubt but to not be liars all they have to do is allow them in ONE conquest map & ONE event - That’s it…They said “Changes have been driven by feedback from our fans” But all they changed was adding the word “sometimes”.
