I go in pitching down the middle FB all game. If the other player reciprocates, good, if not, then I’ll work a bit harder at the plate, if I lose 12-4 great either way. 50% success rate so far with the favour returned.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I always play on AS for offline programs and I’m hitting way better than last year with all the candy 99s from day one. Maybe you need a break or change your approach, cause I’m having a better year all around (online too) and not getting younger.

Both Rivalry and Moonshot are basically: play baseball the traditional way, and complete programs. It’s that simple.

@TripleH-4481_PSN what you’re saying is nonsense; if they cater to the elite players they are losing well over 95% of their base. They want to sell more units, not less, and be as broad as possible. They’re toeing the line between monetization and player retention and will adjust one way or the other depending on their data.

The gameplay isn’t harder or less rewarding. We get these stupid threads every g**[censored] years vomiting the same dumb confirmation bias presented as fact.

Regular PS5; only freezes I get is once in a while in lineup management in DD main menu. Been 2-3 days since the last one.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN yeah but it isn’t exclusive to The Show; online gaming with WiFi, mobile or DSL (is it still a thing?) will cause issues to other players if the games are hosted by peers. Also with hops from ISPs.

Clutch and vision can be swapped depending on difficulty level and wether there are runners on base.

In ‘20 or 21 they made discipline like HR/9, a simulation stat. It used to influence the ability to check swing. Maybe it influences calls when playing with variable umpires, but I’m not sure. In DD it’s basically useless.
