Not it shouldn't. Events are for fun and non-sweaty games. You're only looking at it from your own perspective, for WS players it can be fun to match up against lower rated players for a slugfest as well. It's just an event short inning game, who cares? If you lose you just quit and start a new game, doesn't cost you a thing. If you care that much about ratings I advise you to stick to RS.

Except from my experience I seem to get the sweatiest opponents of all in event games lol. I don’t understand it.

That could just be a coincidence or if you've already got some wins under your belt, the matchmaking system looks for an opponent who also already has some wins under their belt. When you're in a 0-0 run, you can match up with literally anyone.

They usually aren’t good players. Bunt dancers, home run watchers, R2 holders. Wouldn’t be surprised if they run out a bunch of speed bunters even in a moonshot event lol.

I predict Dansby Swanson. He is a SS, and a Brave. He will retroactively be given a Lightning POTM card, for his matinee idol good looks if nothing else.

I faced him once and shelled him and I'm terrible at this game batting .219 over about 130 RS games

I went balanced approach with all diamond equipment and he rakes and is the best defensive catcher in the game. All attributes are 95 or better so it’s more like having a 99 catcher once you equip him with all diamond equipment

I wrote about this in my survey. If you don't want 100mph fastballs to be the only meta, then pitch command needs to be better on control pitchers. If Roy Oswalt and Michael Kopech both have the same command of their fastballs and the same chance of hanging their sliders down the middle, then there's no point in NOT taking the superior velocity card. Will there be more flukey hits against kopech than oswalt because of her per 9s? Yeah, but in terms of just user input and user reactions, Kopech is far harder to hit than oswalt because of the heat.

Pitchers like Oswalt, Kershaw, Glavine, Maddux etc. need to reassure the user that IF they hit their meters perfect or near perfect, the miss radius should be much smaller on their pitches and the control of those meters should feel like veteran when playing on all star and should feel like all star when playing on HOF in order to give those pitchers some sort of an advantage becuase even a perfectly placed slider and curveball is easier to adjust to right now if the card only throws 95mph

Either customize or just give us more options. There's hundreds of designs irl, but only a handful in the game.

I know right! I’ve been to a Stance store before and there’s tons of designs and since the socks are in the game I don’t see why SDS can’t include more designs

I definitely want chipper and victorino, but roberts has no secondary positions so the only open spot i have for him is on my bench.

I can't even finish the first-inning showdown (although I did get to the final boss for the first time yesterday). I tried the NL West showdown once and got to the final boss before failing (part of my try was pre-patch). I just can't stand bashing my head against the wall doing it that way, so I moved to the MTO path. At least I don't hate myself when I'm done.

I have thought about doing one exchange for each team (that would put me at the 10 mark for every team and unlock those team affinity packs that have the unsellable cards in them). I don't want to finish any collections until I've unlocked all those unsellable cards. I don't want to buy a high-priced silver right now when I might get it in one of those packs and have it only be able to be quick sold.

I have four lefty relievers in my pen personally being flashback Doolittle, Rogers, plesac, and Hader but if u can’t afford them I started off with ls Doolittle, Andrew Miller, Rogers, and brad hand
