I'm nearly fifty, and have a 9-16 record as a solo player by myself in Diamond Dynasty online this year. Unfortunately, this is the best record I have had up to this point in the seven or so years I have played this mode. I am a much better co-op player with one or two partners and I am getting much better with every single game I play in that mode. Lastly, I am a better pitcher and fielder than I am a batter.

Willie Mays needs an MLB Storyline along with Ichiro Susuki next year. To me, in my opinion, that would be a fitting tribute for the "Say Hey, Kid."

Anybody who is having difficulty with "The Alex Wood Extreme Moment," just think of Wood as being somewhat like Chris Sale, albeit with more command; but less stuff. I was lucky to get it done the first time because I was able to recall that Alex had to throw from angles, just like Chris, in order to be effective and strikeout many batters with occasional pitches inside to throw them off and distract them. It also helped that many of my human opponents in the mid-2010's used Wood in their rotations, so I had a pretty good idea of how he had to pitch in order to be successful.

Rickey was a good, solid player in the two separate stints that he had with my San Diego Padres. I still love the quote that the late Tony Gwynn credited to the just past Rickey Henderson on a Spring Training bus in 1996 when a Padres employee asked if he (Rickey) had tenure, '"No, I don't have tenure, I have eighteen-year.'" The man was one of my favorite players and a great consummate teammate. May he rest in peace!

I play at Red Rocks, which is a pitcher-friendly ballpark that doesn't give up cheap home runs at all, especially to center field. This is my minor league park that plays to my strength as a player, which is pitching.

The logos need to be screened a lot better! It's one thing to have the '"Knockers,'" (Female Breasts on Bats), nickname and logo, loosely based on the St. Louis Cardinals (Birds on Bats). Yes, it's an adult logo, but it's been a traditional classic in "MLB The Show" for over a decade now, and is somewhat creative and tasteful. But last year I saw two logos showing sexual penetration, logos showing penises and vaginas, logos with full nudity, and some showing semen and female climax. I know that I am not a saint, a prude, or a puritan, but to me in my opinion; this was a step too far. This is a game that kids seven year-olds and under play with and without their parents, and they shouldn't have to see that. MLB sponsors this game and Playstation ranks this "E" for everyone and I'm not for full censorship on all adult material; but the most extreme logos need to be gone. This game has cleaned up it's act with the created names and nicknames, so to me, this is its final step in this category.

For me this year, Rube Foster, a Negro League and MLB Hall-of-Famer is my best pitcher. In previous years, Bob Gibson and Fernando Valenzuela have been my best pitchers. On the other hand, the best I have ever done online by winning was to get to the Wild Card Level. I have only gotten to World Series by playing games and completing the stat goals to get there, but haven't done that this season.
-
@P0pa-Cherry_XBL No, he did not; but, he had a Negro League Card last year. Bob Kendrick mentioned that he played for both the New York and San Francisco Giants during his career.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Gil Hodges was considered to be the best "First Basemen of the 1950's," and has numbers comparable to Fred McGriff season-by-season, but has less overall career numbers due to being in World War II and being wounded in that war. In addition, he was a utility player playing sparingly for the Brooklyn Dodgers playing catcher, third base, the outfield, and a little bit of first base, before staying and starting at first in 1949. After that he produce those awesome seasons, and won two World Series for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955, and after they moved to Los Angeles, those same Dodgers in 1959. He only started to really decline for the Dodgers in 1961, was an '"Original Met,'" in 1962, and was a Washington Senator in 1963 and part of 1964; before the Senators fired their manager and hired Hodges, whereupon, he subsquently retired as a player. He managed the Senators for four seasons before being traded to the Mets for a prospect in the middle of the 1968 season. Lastly, he managed those '"Miracle Mets'" in 1969 to a World Series Championship, and managed that team for two more full seasons till he died in the middle of the 1972 season, in what would of been his third full year, of a heart attack at age forty-seven. He is definitely worth a Live Series Card at least, and is deserving of the N.L. Card prize that SDS bestowed upon him. Those people that think he is not worthy, don't know about history and/or flunked history.

I bunt, if the all the infielders are farther back, and my batter has speed and can bunt, like for example, Cedric Mullins. Unlike Gaylord Perry's spitball; it's not cheating.

@kingdutch_PSN Ditto! I totally agree! Conquest, Showdown, and on the rare occasion, when I play Mini Seasons, helps me to get to the big star cards and helps me nearly complete the '"G.O.A.T.,'" Program further in the year. In addition, it helps me with human opponents in Diamond Dynasty by playing games with the CPU, and is responsible for me at least completing a fourth of my programs every year. I would be a worse player without it.

No, I don't think that Scambi and Singleton were drunk when reading their dialogue for this game. I just think there is almost no variety in their announcing than there was two years ago, but I'm not annoyed enough to mute my TV, or shut them off. They are ok, that's all! Speaking of possibly being drunk, one of my favorite Caray quotes was, '"All the beautiful girls go to the Cubs games,'" which just after he said that, all the cameramen on WGN's broadcast of the Cubs started panning to search for those girls. This was a television broadcast in the mid 90's. I don't think any current baseball broadcaster could get away with some of the antics that Harry could during his career, but he was a legend already by then, and still called a great game. He is most definitely missed and the reason I watched Cubs games between the late-80's to mid-90's.

With all the glitches and freezes in MLB 24 The Show, (I have had three of them in as many days), I am more of afraid of that than Genisys or Skynet taking over the world.
-
They changed the tabs on the pages, so instead of all the jerseys being on one page; they might be on multiple pages. Check to see if your remaining jerseys are on Page Two? I had the same problem this morning and realized that The Show had updated and reformatted this part, and answered my own question that I had in my head. Hopefully, this solves your issue.

Yes, sometimes I will have played the same opponent twice in Ranked, and if I have beaten him or her both times, I will have to face them in Battle Royale, a totally different mode. But, usually I face different opponents with either some of the same players, or a similar skill set as me. On occasion, I will face opponents that will be a top-ranked opponent in ranked, and get routed by them. As a result as far as ranked, it's been fair to me. This year is my best year in ranked; but I am still a little under .500, and I stiil get my [censored] whupped by top teams every now and then. For me, I have had to fail (sometimes tremendously) in the past to get a whole lot better in the present.

@WanderFrank5394_XBL He's already the "Lightning Card" for Season Award 3, so I know it won't be him.

@PAinPA_PSN The A's signed Severino to please their Las Vegas suitors, plain and simple. They (Vegas) wanted to know that the current Oakland A's owner wasn't a complete and total cheapskate that didn't want to field a competitive team, and the owner wants the city not to abandon their stadium project. Call me a cynic, but this is just a fact.

No, that's on SDS! Please stop blaming players for the game developers' mistakes. This game needs a new engine in the worst way. Madden and the NHL have new engines this year, and the NBA's isn't that old. The Show wasn't even Beta-Tested for bugs this year, and it's engine is over a decade old. As for freeze-offs, I usually get this issue one out of every four times I play this game in co-op. It's frustrating, I know!
-
@SDS_JoeK_PSN I just finished playing this current game ("MLB The Show 24"), in January, and the most annoying part of this game for me last year was that every fourth game in Co-op, this game would freeze, and my whole team would lose or both teams would have to have their ranking points number raised because of this problem. For some of the players on this forum, and some of the people that I played with, this happened to them either in every game or every other game, and for a very few, their stats in their games did not count; even though they played that select game. Co-op is most definitely broken, and needs to be fixed by the time I start playing "MLB 25 The Show" in March. I am glad that your focusing on fixing it now, Joe, but your predecessors should of fix it last year!
