I don't understand how making a mode inactive for 3-4 days every week would suddenly make it feel like a big deal. From what I could tell people were asking for MORE 3ish-inning game modes. Events were nice for trying out players, online grinding, and getting a quick game in when you didn't have enough time for nine innings. I guess they want people to play BR.

I guess yfk got a three year ban on one of his accounts.

I don't even think they've fixed 0-0 records that show before each game or that Balitmore Orioles thing that happens. Either they don't care or they're unable to fix the issues.

SDS makes this far more complicated than it needs to be.

I actually think the mode is kind of cool in that it incorporates showdowns, conquests, and moments all into one.

The gambling that goes with getting the card... not cool.

The mystery spaces that are negatives...why? I literally didn't do anything to deserve a penalty.

Most of these aren't even moments. They're more like fantasies or three-inning games.

CPU pitching offline is miserably bad. You can go 2 to 3 batters with the cpu pitcher not finding the strike zone but what's worse you can have runners in scoring position or even bases juiced and your batter has a 3-0 or 3-1 count and the cpu pitcher will all of sudden start dotting strikes on the corners. Not my meaning of fun. They really need to stop all the dotting by the cpu. Needs to have more of a consistent mix.

Kind of bare bones. Figure they would at least put a few new cards on the XP path.

The reasons I've seen people complaining about events

1 - Casuals are upset about the matchmaking
2 - The programs offer very little in value
3 - Exit velos are nerfed
4 - Few to no restrictions so it's just everyone playing their god squads anyways
5 - Can't find an opponent at all

I posted something but I deleted it since it was sappy. But I agree. DD doesn't really offer what I want for online play. For online gaming, I'm more of a leagues / realistic rosters enthusiast. I grew up in the late 90s and 2000s where I admired the social aspect of online gaming more than I even realized at that time. DD offers the team building aspect and the ability to play with legends. I wish I enjoyed the online play on it more but...yeah, there's just too much to list. They can't even control the illicit images used on team uniforms. Simple stuff that they just don't care to manage.

The online environment is very unfriendly for casual gameplay. Inconsistent servers (unless you play on bad servers regularly then it's hard to adjust), Dashboarding that causes stat missions to take even longer then they already would, online multiplayer programs that give minimal to no rewards for wins / innings played, the matchmaking system (especially with events) pinning you against vastly inferior/superior opponents, there isn't really a mode designed for grinding online programs outside of events which are often inactive for half the week, and the rewards programs are extremely unrewarding. I know a lot of people get tired of playing the META (e.g. at Coors Field, switch hitter lineups, bunt cheese or 99 spd lineups).

There's no incentive for using theme teams or any creative mode that Spawn & Teak have often requested. You're often grinding for the same cards repeatedly (e.g. PCA). Also, it's weird when Topps Now players and Willie Castro spend the majority of the year rated much higher and/or have better card builds than legends like Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, etc.

Wouldn't a casual either play offline (e.g. RttS) or use their favorite team on ORated where they can just log in for a quick game with their favorite team then proceed to do something else?

You'll be better off spending those $1000s & the time not playing the game on the child instead.

MY GUESS: there's a small portion of this player base whose average weekly purchases are so much (you know, the players who spent $2,000 to have Babe Ruth on opening night---the people who had claimed to spend hundreds+ before that April account unlinking incident---pack addicts---etc.) that SDS has become increasingly indifferent to the player base whose investments either end or are very minimal after the initial purchase (e.g. NMS players).

That's purely speculation on my part though as SDS has the #s.

Why is an MLB All Star related event held at a minor league park? If they're requiring one stadium, then shouldn't it be Texas?

It's like Extreme Moments if they were played on veteran (and there's a three-inning game played on AS).

I finished in about three hours (The Justin Turner one may have taken about 1/4 of that lol). A lot of the moments have poor visibility (shadowing, no batter's eye) and the RNG is pretty bad on them. Dozens of good/perfect outs. There are just a lot of annoyances that make it more frustrating and time-consuming than it needs to be.

Honestly I'm probably just burnt out of the same ole' grinds too.
