SDS makes this far more complicated than it needs to be.

Most of these aren't even moments. They're more like fantasies or three-inning games.
-
MY GUESS: there's a small portion of this player base whose average weekly purchases are so much (you know, the players who spent $2,000 to have Babe Ruth on opening night---the people who had claimed to spend hundreds+ before that April account unlinking incident---pack addicts---etc.) that SDS has become increasingly indifferent to the player base whose investments either end or are very minimal after the initial purchase (e.g. NMS players).
That's purely speculation on my part though as SDS has the #s.

Why is an MLB All Star related event held at a minor league park? If they're requiring one stadium, then shouldn't it be Texas?

So is this the moments extreme program?
I'll try these when i get home but like i said last night, i'm rapidly lossing intrest this year
It's like Extreme Moments if they were played on veteran (and there's a three-inning game played on AS).
I finished in about three hours (The Justin Turner one may have taken about 1/4 of that lol). A lot of the moments have poor visibility (shadowing, no batter's eye) and the RNG is pretty bad on them. Dozens of good/perfect outs. There are just a lot of annoyances that make it more frustrating and time-consuming than it needs to be.
Honestly I'm probably just burnt out of the same ole' grinds too.

I just hate how it plays online. Everything looks and feels different almost as if it's a completely different game than offline. It's pretty [censored] admirable how people can constantly switch from offline grinding on rookie/veteran to online competitive play. Also, the gamer culture is different from when I played sports games (mostly online franchises) in my heyday 15+ years ago. Too much grieving and no socialization.
EDIT - Also, I don't like how the online setup creates for pure mystery. You don't know your opponent's ping, disconnect percentage, idle time, tendencies, stadium choice, or anything. It's just some matchup randomizer that connects me to someone whose team name and shoddy connection would indicate that they're outside the USA. I grew up with lobbies so that's definitely my preference.

I tried the Ricky Henderson 5SB one mostly for s and giggles.
After the first hit I couldn't steal a base because the following hitter hit the ball on the first pitch
The second hit I couldn't steal a base because the next batter started on a 3-2 count with 2 outs haha.
Change your settings to see all pitches, its in the player lock tab
Would never have figured that out. Thought that was solely for RttS. Appreciated.

You have 2 active Season 1 captain cards. It was Maddux/Senga and Arenado/Buxton. You get two choices at launch. Our choices for S2 are Stanton/Devers/Castillo/Carroll. People should take a Castillo for sure as he boosts LS and you can't play two hitting captains at once.
You had two active cornerstone captains in S1? I only had one at a time.
-
They're above 94 overall.
-
Showdowns should have midway points (at least one) then I'd do them more often.
-
I haven't seen it mentioned, but S3 collections have some rewards at 225, 250, 275, and 300.

This Halloweek showdown was the easiest one this year, by far. Granted, I've done them all except the extreme (didn't need the points).
I've done the run it back showdown about 20 times to get the season 2 vault pack. I've failed at least 10 times on that one as well, sometimes the CPU is a beast on all-star.
My suggestion is to draft switch hitters or in this case, lefties, and get the hero time and rally time boosts, anything that boosts exit velocity. Take pitches and if you get a slow guy on first base, substitute a 85+ speed guy and steal second so you don't get a double play. Those are rally killers
This.
The big thing is to not get frustrated and swing out of your shoes whenever the perfect-perfect / good swing outs start piling up. There is so much margin of error on these missions that it's still easy to overcome with patience.

The program was random but it was still better than last year's "Trick" and "Treat" programs. At least we had a clear understanding of what needed done in '24.
-
Personally, the long gap between WS content and Finest have sort of turned me off from '24. I suppose they don't care about retaining engagement this late in the cycle though.

Trying to see if a Castillo/Devers combo would work.
I was thinking the same thing but remember you can only use one at a time
Wait. We can't use a Pitching and a Hitting Cornerstone Captain from the same season; but we can use both from S1 like Carlos and Kershaw?
Remember how we had to exchange cornerstones whenever we wanted to use a different one in S1? Unless they change that, you couldn't have a Cornerstone hitter and pitcher both at the same time. (EDIT: Added Cornerstone to eliminate confusion because I know you could do regular pitcher/hitter captains both at same time).

2nd? Your first wild card comes at 57.5K.
-
No it's not. I know GomesDaLegend and a lot of other streamers were saying that but you don't get a free wildcard.

@Raginbull2184_MLBTS said in New Patch Update:
since I've started playing this morning I've had 9 base runners just randomly stop in the base paths. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks
Ok so yesterday in a MS game my runner on third randomly retreated back to the bag on a base hit to centre. I had to manually send him home but by the time I did that he was out by about 4 feet. That's the sort of nonsense I've dealt with since the update yesterday
Similar thing happened to me in an event game during the last night of S1. Base hit to RF, runner on first went back to 1st, I had to hit advance button about four times before he'd run to second which at that point he had no chance of making it.
-
I've largely stuck with it because if I quit now then I'd feel like the S1 and early S2 grind was a waste of time (it wasn't, but those feeling lurks within me). It's fun to grind in small doses; however, with this system I'm always feeling rushed to play more.

During Season 1 we got a lightning player at Drop 4 (Bobby Witt 95). Is the Season 2 one coming out Drop 5?
Two weeks into S2: thoughts
