I get kicked off the menu screens about every 15 minutes.

@victoryphoenix_PSN the lineup flexibility will never happen because you can't do that in real baseball
You can carry 6 SPs?

Weird. Strep throat must be going around. Ohchev been out the last two days because of it too.
-
Kind of bare bones. Figure they would at least put a few new cards on the XP path.

The game is pretty [censored] good offline (as long as the pitcher decides against walking you 7 times per game). I just wish they could create a better CPU hitting AI than "fastball up-in 2x, offspeed low-away" that they rarely ever adjust to. That said, I guess grinders would complain if it weren't like that

Online...meh, I have a lot of issues with that. It literally feels like an entirely different game than offline. I kept wanting to play more online this year but the online gameplay felt more like a script than an actual game. I'm not saying that as a "Sore loser" because it probably helped me more than my opponents in the limited events / casual games that I played. The input MUST matter more both from a hitting and a pinpoint pitching perspective. EDIT - I'd like to add that I don't remember allowing so many fouls and hard hits on pitches nowhere near the strike zone. My opponents will crush pitches out of the zone but swing-and-miss on hanging change-ups and curves. It baffles me.

Ramone Russell moonshot card

Hard to imagine they wouldn't release a 99 Lee Smith. If they were going to release realistic versions of Lou Brock or Ozzie Smith, then this could be a good time. Usually they release a super-loaded Willie Mays around this time or later too. A longshot but maybe a Hank Aaron with better defense?
-
Go in that mini-seasons with 60 ovrs and face that team with a position player at catcher.
-
Below HoF you probably want outlier 4sm or outlier snk.
HoF and especially higher is when Al Leiter, Greg Maddux, and other high control pitchers with 5-pitch mixes become super useful.
-
Skubal's pitches are very flat and his change-up hangs a lot even on a perfect pinpoint. His outlier doesn't feel like outlier. Also, the pinpoint meter is extremely fast in the clutch so it's easy to mess up.
-
I've got to say the Rafaela 5xbh was quite interesting. Perfect perfect single after perfect single. Then when I got to 4XBH, it was walk after walk after perfect-perfect foul that would've been a hr after walk lol.
-
Also, I wonder how the community would react if SDS ever fixed the bunt defense AI and the computer hitting AI (e.g. fastball up & in, offspeed low & away).
-
DQ is a goldmine if you can beeline to the stadium and bunt cheese + sac-fly on GOAT. Hard to do anything else because the RNG makes it almost impossible to string hits together. Basically about 100k stubs per hour.
If you played it normally, then you were held captive with the odds that often didn't pay off.
This was the ultimate rich-get-richer and poor-get-poorer mode.

Then stop disrespecting him. Have you had a look at their stats side by side? Dont tell me Jram has a better swing, Chipper's is amazing. And Chipper can also play left field! What more do you want from him? Not to mention Chipper is 500,000 stubs cheaperJRam better

-
Yeah? My very first hit in '24 was a PP foul. It's annoying but it happens in this game.

JRam Finest is arguably best 3b in game, god squad worthy
Did you forget about Chipper Jones?
Nope I didn't forget...:-D

@NotesOfJohn_PSN said in Are Finest Cards meant to be the....finest cards?:
@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN How did I think they'd be better? Well, having as good or better attributes than cards released weeks ago would be a start.
Some of these cards wouldn't make most people's best four or five squads, let alone their god squads.
Radical concept, but if you're playing all year to achieve Finest vouchers, the resultant players should be the best of the best.
JRam Finest is arguably best 3b in game, god squad worthy
Cal Raleigh is arguably best offensive catcher in the game with solid d, god squad worthy
Ian Happ is among best LF in the game, god squad worthy.
Trea Turner SS is god squad worthy, especially on higher levels with his vision. Bobby Witt is solid, Francisco Lindor is a switch hitter with a fan-favorite swing, and Colson Montgomery has big power.
Kyle Schwarber is a solid DH.
Cody Bellinger at 1B is a fan favorite with stacked #s.
You make 2/3 of a god squad lineup with those guys.
Are they just supposed to give everyone 125 con, 125 pow, 125 vis, and 99 spd?
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN said in Are Finest Cards meant to be the....finest cards?:
@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN As someone with well over 100 P5 cards, believe me when I say i'm not one to use the same cards repeatedly.
I was just expecting better from these cards.
How? If they're not switch hitters with maxed contact/clutch and 100+ vision or outlier pitchers with 90+ control then they're probably not outdoing the meta guys.
-
There are other ways to play than with god squads that make these guys useful to that player base (e.g. themes).
Better Beltran?
