You played the game through nearly the entire regular season so you couldn't think it was that bad

I don't know if I'm more annoyed at the lack of power or the constant fouls vs Bautista.

We need more Yankees.
I know you're joking; however, the ironic part is that the one Yankee that I actually would like a card of (Carlos Rodon) still only has a 83 live series.

It would've made more sense for SDS to have saved Bryan Reynolds for that Retro spot and use the Neon collection finale for a different legend. More people would've bled out stubs for Reynolds. The Yankees already have Jorge Posada at catcher and Giancarlo Stanton at DH.

No offense but they don't care about your feelings ncky1.

Offline or online? Offline I have zero issues. Online depends on the Internet connection.
-
I believe when the ranked matchmaking screen appears you immediately push the left joystick to the left. That'll stop the ranking range from increasing / decreasing.

I don't play enough online to have much of an opinion or suggestion other than I've tried playing DD online on four different Internets in two different residences (mostly '23 and '24) and I've never felt like it played that smoothly. Fielding and base running responses are too slow. No urgency whatsoever.
That said...maybe try a game on Online Rated and see if it's just the game entirely or the DD mode? Could DD have too many things in it? Try cleaning out the PS5 (edit or xbox)? Make sure your controller settings are set to hardwired and not bluetooth (supposedly it's not enough to just play hardwired while the system controller settings are set to Bluetooth...I don't know).

Could the bronze pitchers have been due to the rating changes on Friday? I know Jimmy Herget went from 62 to 67. So if you had already created the lineup before Herget became a bronze then he would still qualify?
-
You could buy him, try him out in a few Moonshot Event games, then decide the next step. Do you do well with the Live Series / 79 Ketel Marte? You could just use those players in the event to see how you like a weaker version of him.

Your motivation: Use Master (Bryan) Chi as your full-time closer for the rest of the year against everyone else's All-99 team.

I believe CPU hitting never adjusting (even on higher levels) is done intentionally so Diamond Dynasty grinders can finish programs faster. I guess CPU players who want a competitive experience just avoid throwing High Fastball In / Low Outside Breaking Ball all game.

@GoozeFn_PSN I seen someone on Twitter mention play a certain amount of games and then bunt the rest of the season … is that what you referring to ? If so then I’ll give it a a try I guess and go look up some tutorial on YouTube how to do it . Funny I never even finished those seasons , I got that summer one and moon shot with like 5 games left but I’m just not tryna grind anymore lol
You only need to play 15-18 games depending on how the standings shake out (I play 18 to be safe, that should guarantee top-two seed) then you can enter into & immediately quit out of the last 10 games before starting the postseason. I believe there's an XP qualifer at 23 wins.... so 17 regular seasons plus 6 postseason wins would net you that.

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN yeah, I don't know why people hate on the grind. The grind is the whole point of a trading card collecting game.
Do you want everybody to just have all the cards? The grind is one of the best gatekeeping methods - it rewards skill (because you can grind a lot quicker if you're good), but it doesnt lock you out if youre not super skilled. It also doesn't make you spend money.
They don't want to grind offline though they want to play competitively online.
Let's say their skilled / good enough to finish a mini season on the first try. That's a minimum 24 games (18 reg season wins to clinch postseason berth + 6 postseason wins) to get one card---which may not even be a card that they want but is required for a collection---. For a skilled player or someone who doesn't play simply to relax on rookie mode, that's 6-8 hours of brain rot. Then they have to readjust to online play (e.g. timing, latencies).
Some people want to save money. Others want to save time.

The Babe Ruth card doesn't even have 1B eligibility. It's funny though that, attribute-wise, Jose Bautista probably still has the better end-game card.
-
The streamers breaking their controllers and throwing them through the drywall of their homes are often just engaging in overreaction theatrics in an attempt to entertain their viewers.

Your opponents can throw their 4th & 5th pitch exclusively because they're usually beefed up with 90+ CTRL and 90+ BRK.
People rarely throw sliders? Usually, I hear the opposite complaint because of how they impact the PCI size. Curveballs? They're usually too easy to read to be used as anything other than dirt-balls. That's been a problem for years.
The 4sm fastball is probably too easy to size up, especially if it doesn't have outlier. Maybe they should switch those peanut-sized PCIs from sliders/changeups to 4sm fastballs?
How can people use exclusively opposite-handed hitters? Like I recently told someone else who demanded a switch-hitter limit, even if they limit it to 4, your opponent could still start 4RHB with 4LHB coming off the bench. SDS can't do much about that.
Diamond Dynasty is always going to lean toward an arcade style, especially after the first few months before the player overalls are jacked up and everyone is given a sinker.
-
I'm always fascinated at how most of my hit & runs are direct shots at the IFs, usually the middle infielder halfway into his descent on covering second base.
-
:shrugs: That's baseball. Even if they did your four-man limit, your opponent could start 4RHB and have 4LHB on the bench ready to replace them if they guessed RHP/LHP wrong. Even if SDS banned switch hitters entirely, your opponent could guess LHP or RHP, start 9 LHB/RHB, and if they guess correctly, you're facing the same thing.
Any ban on switch hitters would diminish their overall value, which means less money for SDS, which means you might get a "No Switch Hitter Event" but that's about it.
I don't like backfoot sliders but it's part of the game so tough [censored] for me lol.
Should I do it?
