Not for the first couple of days, though. We didn't know for sure about the showdown being mandatory until later in the week. Actually the last day.

When the program was fully released, everyone knew what needed to be done.

To this day I still don't know what needs to be done with the Treat program.

What I don't understand is the distribution. E.G. We have four (potentially five) Shohei Ohtani Dodgers cards (LS, S1TN, S2AS, S3Milestone, potentially S4Award). Will SDS go the entire year without an Angels Ohtani or at least one where he can pitch (outside of LS)? This system is extraordinarily unfriendly for using theme teams, especially for bullpens and smaller market teams (e.g. Milwaukee). On another note with theme teams, why are they still holding those 87 overall team captain cards hostage?

I've been getting more good/perfect outs and green lates than usual (and by green lates, I mean early side of good that are registering as just lates). I can tell my opponent has been getting bs luck too so it's kind of like whatever at this point.

I've done the run it back showdown about 20 times to get the season 2 vault pack. I've failed at least 10 times on that one as well, sometimes the CPU is a beast on all-star.

My suggestion is to draft switch hitters or in this case, lefties, and get the hero time and rally time boosts, anything that boosts exit velocity. Take pitches and if you get a slow guy on first base, substitute a 85+ speed guy and steal second so you don't get a double play. Those are rally killers

The big thing is to not get frustrated and swing out of your shoes whenever the perfect-perfect / good swing outs start piling up. There is so much margin of error on these missions that it's still easy to overcome with patience.

Those two-second delays on advancing / stealing baserunners have happened to me on three different Internet connections since '23 (Fixed Wireless, wi-fi, and now a wired fiber connection that speed tests at 11-12ms). During my minimal experience with online play, this game has animation and response glitches that I've literally never seen happen in thousands of hours of offline grinding. These can both positively or negatively impact me. I guess people just get used to it?

I haven't seen it mentioned, but S3 collections have some rewards at 225, 250, 275, and 300.

Has anyone done the Verdugo moment? I've done it three times, registered XP on them, but it doesn't count it afterward. Don't know if it's the server, a broken moment, or something else. EDIT - Just did Game 4 Freeman moment and it counted. I'll try Verdugo later I reckon. EDIT 2 - It's the server. It's done it twice since then. I'll wait awhile before finishing more of them.

I'd like an Andy Cooper RP/CP card considering he is the all-time career saves leader in the NNL (it's only 29, but still). I'd guess that he'd probably get more widespread use as a lefty out of the bullpen as opposed to a starter too.

I've always desired something similar to a ranked mode but with roster restrictions (e.g. ceiling on team overall), kind of like online rated but with realistically rated legends cards; however, I have no idea how they'd stop people from studs & duds'ing their rosters since benches & back of bullpens have minimal importance.

As it is now, how can a guy like Lenyn Sosa be a better---much better---contact and clutch hitter than Willie Mays and a lot of other legends? It gets kind of goofy after awhile.

Showdowns should have midway points (at least one) then I'd do them more often.

Is anyone having issues stealing bases vs CPU? On PS5, as soon as I hit L2 the opposing pitcher immediately steps off the bag and I get in a rundown (luckily, the CPU AI sucks so I get back). Normally, I hit L2 and the runner starts to go when the pitcher motions to the plate.

This has never happened to me unless I hit L1 once for a bigger leadoff (which I'm not). I do have a new controller though so maybe that's it?

I feel this way with the HoF Griffey when compared to the 90 91 and 95 Griffeys or anything from last season.

Should I expect the prices of Juan Marichal (468K+) and Buck O'Neil (454K+) to go down at any point? I figured they would decline after their events were completed but they continued rising. I have 2.6M stubs so I have no issue buying the cards at this price point but am patient enough to wait for them to decline if they're like the Felix Bautista card (suddenly below 60K after he was 600K yesterday).

Imagine having a Moment where one way to complete it is by doubg what us technically against their TOS.

That's why I don't understand why the Events Missions weren't based on W's instead of hitting triples and stealing bases with slow players.

The Ottavino/Wagner moments were pretty easy considering you could dashboard them. Ottavino does take a bit of getting used to because of his release point.

Nearly full game pitching moments are awful. Bloop hits, your pitcher can’t locate, and the programming is made to lose just before you get that last out or strikeout. The degrom, kershaw, and ottavino moments in the extreme program are all RNG bs.

I hate how literally every moment that I attempted (completed nine) required additional attempts because of a failed perfect-perfect, other RNG nonsense, or just bad luck messed up what would've completed the moment. Then there's the "Teasers" like the Mickey Mantle moment where I got three hits but the fourth one that would've been a triple just barely grazed the high wall for a failed mission HR. I guess it's SDS way of getting me to play longer.
