Um, you won. I don't know what you expect when you play a game mode where almost every pitcher at this point of the season has 90+ BB/9 and 95+ CTRL on their pitches (even without CPT boosts).

I can't believe we're going a whole year without an Angels or 2-way Ohtani other than his LS card. Could easily do a 2-way captain during these captain releases too.

The fact that they haven't even offered but one marketplace card (and I believe you can get that one for free, was it the turkey pack?) tells us all we need to know about S4.

.... This Catfish Hunter card is a neat little boost. Kind of like the '23 Hoffman boost but on crack. This would've worked better as bullpen only though IMO.

The concept of showdowns is fantastic. I just wish there was at least one midpoint and less RNG. I'll still do them when necessary though.

Credit to SDS for listening to their base. I've seen multiple people on here & Reddit who asked for an NLB booster card, including me. Also wanted a 99 Hilton Smith. Good stuff.

I don't know what defines good contact technically, but obviously you can see hit analysis during game and after game...most of them were 100+ mph groundouts

I was wondering how that worked because five innings (15 outs) plus four hits would seem like 19 good contacts at maximum. However, I just grinded for that Hilton Smith card tonight (hadn't been playing much lately) and had two perfect-perfect fouls in a span of three innings. So it makes more sense now lol.

Outside of AS Week and Postseason, the content team has mostly been disinterested this year. Even the marketing leading into this game was bare bones. Here's hoping this was an off-year and they've just been super focused on '25.

Also, I agree that they either need a Jin Kim captain or a captain for players before 1960s, kind of like those Babe Ruth / Willie Mays captain cards from last year. Hilton Smith hasn't even had his Jin Kim card yet did they forget about him?

Aren't the majority of players super-99s?

I believe that's his real life pitch mix; however, in DD, they usually give the pitchers more than that.

S&S weren't really that big of an issue in MLB 24.

SDS really needs to put all of their money they are allocating for legends into their network structure. I could run out a team of all the top 10 players of all time and still not have fun bc the balls warp and don't even look right. IDK how many times I've attempted to steal a base and the runner stops middle of the way and walks to the base and gets tagged out. If they can't overhaul their network they should at least allow me to narrow down my search of players.

Let me search for people on the East coast - PS5 specific. would i may have to wait extra time, maybe but having a smooth game is better than having a laggy game that I can compete. I am really tired of playing people in the DR & PR and it just lags the entire time. No one will accept a friendly quit anymore. So i'm just stuck in a laggy game for an hour bored.

WE NEED more game modes. I can guarantee all the people praising S&S being gone are the ones who probably still won't be playing the game today. I have 950 hours in MLB 24, and even with content coming out tomorrow, im still going to be bored, bc we get these new cards just to play a laggy ranked game.

We need SDS to please give us new modes and fix the network.

I'm glad sets & seasons are gone (horrible for team themes and it's mostly just repeat cards anyway). That said, two of my four biggest wishes (which I know won't happen) include a salary cap / ratings restriction type of ranked mode and the ability to reject any and all games from outside the continental US. No offense to PR/DR/Korea/Europe players but those games are brutal.

Personally, the long gap between WS content and Finest have sort of turned me off from '24. I suppose they don't care about retaining engagement this late in the cycle though.
