Honestly I don't really think it attempts to be that real. Did John D throw 103 with 96 slider? It's pretty far on the arcade spectrum.

Okay make your lineups after you know who opposing SP is... People would complain about that even more.

And if we want to demand realism, then add vs RHP/LHP lineups. Oh wait a lot of people say that's cheese too even though that's actually something that happens in baseball.

Diamond Dynasty isn't real baseball. Most of what happens in DD will never happen in a real baseball game. I wish Willi Castro was as good in real life as his 99 card suggests but he's not. If you want a more realistic experience then play Online Rated.

Only got one rangers card. Could have used 2 relievers for my theme team. Yankees are sliding and they get 3 or 4 cards.

Coulombe and Maton would've been nice. I'm surprised they didn't do one for Coulombe considering how popular and effective his 91 was.

This was the first time that I tried a showdown and was still able to continue even after failing the third pitcher. I'm not sure when they made that change but that's a great decision to just add the extra runs on the final boss attempt.

A Biz Mackey 99 could be pretty decent with his switch hitting and defensive numbers. I'd even like to play around with a 99 Leroy Matlock with his control.

  • xRatedGProdigyx_PSNX xRatedGProdigyx_PSN

Playing with 99s can get boring because the players are created so similarly. Sub .250 hitters getting maxed or near-maxed CON L CON R and CLU with 90+ vision. e.g. Kyle Schwarber getting near Tony Gwynn-ish CON & CLU attributes. The players start to feel like they're wearing a skin that doesn't fit them at all.

Bichette, Candelario, and Mullins tanked so now I finished Rolen and am three cards away from Ted Williams. After that, the only thing I really want are better NLB cards and Cubs.

That Langeliers card is nice. Catcher pop time, 95 ARM STR, max contact and power vs L, 120 CLU. At the very least, great bench option behind a catcher with defensive / base-running liabilities for later in the game (e.g. HR Derby Cal Raleigh).

  • Content isn't the issue. Gameplay is..
  • xRatedGProdigyx_PSNX xRatedGProdigyx_PSN

To be fair, it's hard to perfect gameplay in a mode that features such overpowered cards, especially when they reach 99+. To an extent, the gameplay will always lean toward arcade style.

This isn't a complaint; I just wanted to say it's funny how they transitioned from 95s to super-99s so quickly.

  • Cal Raleigh vs. Mike Napoli
  • xRatedGProdigyx_PSNX xRatedGProdigyx_PSN

    At DH? Raleigh.

at C? Napoli is probably in that Wade Boggs category of guys that I can't hit with no matter with. So it's still Raleigh even with his bad defensive stats.

I understand perfect-perfect outs on pitches along the edge of the strike zone. That's frustrating; however, In baseball, a good pitch probably has the advantage over a good swing.

On the other hand---a perfect-pefect out on a hanging meatball or pitch down the middle? That shouldn't happen.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN Tell me which games specifically where there were 7 out of 23 perfect perfects, so we can verify this in game longs or it didn’t happen.

The OP said 7 out of 23.

7 out of 23 is bad even for this game. Did they all say "Perfect" on the feedback? Or were some of them early side of Goods or even the Green Late's.

4 cards away from Rolen (2 vouchers), 26 from Ted Williams (9 vouchers), and 406k stubs. I could finish it now but I'm not in a hurry.

From my experience, the definition "perfect-perfects" doesn't really mean anything because it doesn't account for launch angle. You're often better swinging underneath the pitch because it's the best way to get a better launch angle (which is important because the game is so HR dependent, especially when people play at high elevation stadiums) whereas the perfect-perfects are often very low launch angles that are either hit directly at fielders or barrelled into the ground for double plays.
