Sds really lowered the 80-82 quicksell under 1k so investments would be significantly less worthwhile when cards went up to gold, come on. Yall are desperate for people to buy stubs out here

They actually used to fix things, the card releases were more fun. Gameplay was better. It's honestly depressing when you look at the patch notes and they add a city connect jersey, but I release perfect pitches that go down the middle, or my fielder acts like a ball doesn't actually exist flying right at him, or the game freezes, or you hit a perfect foul ball, or I could go on and on.....
-
They also force you to do the collection with your sellable cards, then give you non sellable at the end. They are losers at sds

Set 2 is a disaster. They made it so if you actually play the game you can't actually profit off of the programs anymore. Only way to make stubs is to sit on the market, guess on cards which they never upgrade who actually should. It's so corny to make stubs now. I get sheckels thrown at me for playing games. I would say I could make it to ws to get a ws card and sell it, but sds thought it would be hilarious to reset my rank 3 times in 1 day, "seasons over!!" 3 times bruh. so I have to start in spring training. Sent in tickets about that and the no xp and haven't heard back in 3 days now. Don't start this bogus EA stuff where you just funnel people into the store to buy stubs please.

Man imagine being on a video game cover and they still got you as an 85 overall lol How will you feel about it?
Should be a gold at best. .230 avg and a .403 slug isn't very impressive and he's been giving average defense in the outfield

We need something. I basically get nothing out of playing the mode and that's a surefire way to have nobody playing it. Don't add no rewards and then scrap it next year because it didn't have enough players playing it because yall at sds are too lazy to work on it

There is no reason that I've opened packs all year and have not got 1 acuna, tatis, trout, ohtani, degrom etc. It just seems like they just lock the big names into the very bottom of the deep for the odds. I repeatedly pull the same 6 or 7 diamonds all the time. It's like I've literally hit the pay wall where they want me to buy stubs to collect the last 5 teams
-
Sometimes the timings of swings just feel wrong. Like it will say slightly early on an outside pitch that I hit to straight away opposite field, or will pull a ball in the gap on an inside pitch and it will stay up bc I'm slightly late. When you play baseball thought that is literally where you are supposed to hit the ball respectively. Also, the timing window on the fastballs just seems off. Literally everything is either pulled juuuuust foul or you are slightly late and like before it hangs up even though it should still be a barrel. Just wondering if anyone else felt like the timing windows just seem slightly off when it comes to how hard the ball should be hit.

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN said in Expiring Cards is absolutely ridiculous:
It’s almost like people constantly whined about the game being the same year after, so they changed it. Weird.
It's almost like they had the same programs year over year and just released the same players every year. Baseball has had so many great players over the years. It shouldn't be that hard. Also, every card being a 99 is just corny. That's not what anyone asked for. We've been asking for gameplay fixes since like mlb 20 and they haven't touched a thing
-
You can tell a lot of time when hits are not zoned up and the timing mechanics are so bad. I have no understanding of how a low away pitch is pulled for a hr and then the next time I'm up, I hit a "just late" swing to straight away right and it's a weak line-out. Why is rolling over a 400 foot hr and the ball you actually drove to the correct field is bad timing and it gives you bad contact as a result of the bad timing?

@t456yhnmj_psn said in No XP if you change your slidders.:
Just got off the phone with my brother who preordered the $100.00 Version of The Show 21. He tells me if you change your sliders at all you gain no XP for playing. Thank you for making this change you just saved me money. Now I don't have to buy the game. This is suppose to be something fun to take me away from my problems. Some will argue that it needs to be real. Well if you want real go try out for a real MLB team. This is suppose to be fun and with this change its not. I will not be buying this version of The Show or any other till this is changed. You make the game. I pay $60.00 for it I should be able to play however I want and still get XP.
So you are mad because you can't cheat your way to online rewards easier, you can still put the difficulty all the way down to beginner and get xp

Considering there are tons of hits off of very late or very early swings, I think since it's a video game there should always be a hit off perfects. I'm not saying a hr everytime, but at least a hit. I haven't seen a perfect to center field drop. It's either a hr or directly at the center fielder. Where are the liners to center off the wall over their heads or up the middle on a 1 hop? I'm all for it happening on mistimed swings, but when people lose games bc they hit 6 perfects in a 3 inning game and the other person is getting very early pulled off groundballs that get through something is wrong with the skill gap. It should be like a green light in 2k that is a guaranteed positive outcome. It isn't "realistic" but neither is players sliding like a penguin when the ball is hit and it magically bounces into their glove

There's no reason I should have to do every single pxp mission with not only the potm card, but then the pxp for Topps too, it is a ridiculous grind for a mid outfielder and a mid 1st baseman isn't it? Then you don't even get the program points for the Topps collection really. Why even make it 40 points if we only get like 10 of the points? We had to play all the moments, so what was the purpose of making it say 40?

@Blind_Bleeder said in What is the definition of perfect:
No. It’s when the ball is hit squarely. It has nothing to do with where the ball ends up.
So you're saying input in a competitive gamemode shouldn't matter and results should be left to rng which doesn't even seem to rely on player stats?
-
When you have a dh pitcher in the lineup it won't allow you to move their spot in the lineup. You have to remove them from sp and then move them then put them back at sp. For some reason the game thinks you are changing their position.
-
Why is it getting worse every year? I can't play a co-op game past the 3rd inning. I randomly lose br runs bc the game freezes. It's just so bad. They make so much money and can't even have dedicated servers to play on? Why are we peer to peer in 2023?

Ppl really care about making stubs in the market? I mean, I've heard comments about it but is that a fun thing?
Market is the best way to make stubs. Pretty much have the live series collection done. All I need is goldsmidt. Usually I'd just play and sell a card and buy it back later, but now I can't

@mrwonderful95 said in Anyone feel like the games not that fun this year?:
I appreciate the content but it feels a little too grindy for me. Personally I don’t have hours upon hours to dedicate to grinding TA against the computer on rookie to finish all the missions. Yes, you can field a good team with free cards but you can’t field a great team without spending stubs. To me, it seems like most of the great cards are hidden behind packs you have to buy or purchase through the marketplace.
Personally, I’m happy with the way the game is playing but it’s been kinda exhausting to play. BR is fun cause everyone’s fielding an even team. I’m not saying I don’t like the game, I do like it, I’m just a little tired of it at this point. I’m curious to hear how others are feeling at this stage of the cycle.
It's not fun. Half my games feel like I'm rolling dice when I hit the ball and I've lost multiple games to freezes, or my fielders doing some dumb bs. Not to mention the only hrs I let up are pitches that are messed up by 1 degree so it goes down the middle instead of in the dirt
-
It's pretty simple. The higher you throw a sinker it just shouldn't have downward movement. I shouldn't watch a high pitch sink into the top corner or have it start top corner and drop middle inside as a ball. That's just not how sinkers move. You have to get on top of the ball and spin it to make it drop. You can't get on top of a pitch at the top of the zone. They should be little flying saucers that get cranked when you throw them high, not the best pitch in the game.

I want every player to feel more individual, like a guy like ichiro would really bust it out of the box for infield singles, maybe a perk to where certain guys with 125 power just absolutely crush balls instead of flying out to the warning track on perfects. I like that players have their own swings for the most part, but sometimes they push players outside of who they are to fit the meta for the game. Like John Donaldson, can't convince me he even sniffed 100 back then. A 96 mph slider and 104 mph fastball? If they just made it so guys who throw slower were more accurate and pitches moved more people would actually use them. Every sports game balances the stats horribly and instead of just actually working on the game and doing balancing patches they just cater to whatever the meta is so people spend money on cards. Like if a card came out tomorrow with 125 contact both sides with 40 power nobody would use it, when that card should be really good at getting on base, when in reality you're gonna square balls up and line out every other at bat.
