I don't know if any of the captain boosts actually boost speed, but if they did would it count if the player was boosted over 35? I would say your best chance is a custom huge park.

I have never pulled a 99 from a Vault pack. I haven't even pulled a 90, it's always 86 to 89. Opened dozens of them throughout the season.

There is a heading that says: Guys that probably don't deserve a better card but are personal favorites and also much loved by the community:
Under that there is 5 or 6 players and then a list of Legends. As per my comment above, maybe that comment only applied to those 5 or 6 guys and not everyone under that heading including the Legends, wasn't clear to me. -
Not sure I quite understand the "probably don't deserve a new card" list. Mike Piazza is one of the greatest hitting catchers in MLB history. How does he not deserve a card? He only has a 90 as of now. Unless you didn't mean to include Legends in that category.

Anybody else go all out this weekend and finish off all 6 TA divisions?
I kept getting notifications every 3 minutes on my Xbox... "Schnauzerface has completed TA3.2 AL East"... "Schnauzerface has completed TA3.2 NL Central"...
I was concerned for your safety.
That said... I made it pretty far. I did 50,000 xps of exchanges for each division, plus the "moments" to get 6 cards to start grinding with.
Doing the two showdowns takes no time at all and it gets you a huge chunk of the way there. Then just load up a roster with a theme team from each division. Two games vs CPU is more than enough to knock out the K's, TBs, runs, and 2x OB missions. I shouldn't have been so "calculating" when deciding how to attack the TA missions because it's a really quick grind that way.
I did exactly this as well. Did 50k in exchanges for each division, did the moment and then the 2 showdowns. That got you to 120k. Then I played 1 full vs CPU game using a team built from a single team from each division and I was done. Was fairly quick.

They made these as easy as can be, come on guys , they literally take a maximum of 5 minutes each to complete.
There was one where they picked 8 righties against a righty pitcher. Thats not easy as can be. Thats just annoying.
The 4 XBH took me several tries (granted some of those were aborted after the first inning) but the others I got first shot. I dont enjoy facing CPU Staumont (I dont do well with dotted 102 fast balls which is 90% of Staumonts pitches against me) but luckily its Soto for innings 3 and 4.
I went to my bench and started pinch hitting the right handed hitters, the next inning the CPU brought in Soto. I quit
Yeah, I struggled with this one too.

Some were long, but they were all pretty easy. Didn't have to sweat out any of them. Had at least 7 outs in all the NL and AL ones for S3 TA2.
-
Mets had an amazing 2nd half of the season, one of the best in the majors. To say they didn't "earn" or "deserve" their spot is laughable.
-
I am pretty much directional/meter too but decided to try out zone and with them, it's easier. I picked up the Omni's (2 short). They also helped in Madden too, if you play that. If you play a lot of adventure or FPS, Omni are not the right choice, but I am mostly a sports gamer.

Has anyone else struggled on the homerun moments for Garrett Mitchell and Pete Alonso? I just can't hit one out no matter what I do. I have finished every other moment besides those 2.
Of course Pete Alonso will only be a collection card for me because 1 I'm a huge Phillies fan and hate the Mets and 2 I can't hit with him at all
Not Alonso but Mitchell yes. I had to go 20 times or more to get him to HR. He kept hitting grounders and not deep fly balls. Not even one just foul long ball. Finally got lucky and connected on one, I was close to giving up for the night. The other one that took me a while was the 3 hits with Padres.

I think he meant a post season playoff program. They just said the playoff start, they didn't say they were doing a playoff program. Last year they had a wild card, division, etc.. in the 2023 post season series.

I got Wheeler, Steven Kwan and Brenton Doyle

And you have to hit two doubles.
No triples.

I gave up on the 8 total bases with pillar and Abreu, I'll do the ones that I'm able to do and the missions but never getting the McCutchen card. I tried alot doing those 8 total bases moment but can never get more than 4. They really need to add a repeatable mission just like they did with the Charisma series Program last year
Pillar took me a few tries, but Abreu I was able to get in first 2 ab's.
-
You can't earn more than 4 wild card spots. If you unlocked them in Season 2, the ones in Season 3 are useless.
-
SB's were easy for me. I picked up all 50 in 2 games, picked up 30 my first game. Loaded the team with good hitters through all 3 sets that were 85 or better speed and SB (most were 90 or better) and played in a deep park, not a HR park. Used directional hitting and aimed down. Would single (would never advance an XB hit), steal second and third and then rinse and repeat. Was done in about 90 minutes.
-
Agreed, easily the easiest Showdown I have done this year. Took some time since there were so many bosses but didn't have to sweat any of them out down to the last few outs.
-
Hard pass. I play 90% offline, so in your world I don't get to play DD.

OOP sucks in Madden and sucks even more in MLB The Show. I am going to play through, just not sure if the USA map is worth 125k.
Its the most efficient thing for TA we have gotten in the last 2 years*, 30 3 inning games and all 6 TA tracks are over 60% done. You can easily pick off some of the stats along the way (50Ks is 50k points and you can start the same guy over and over...should be able to do that for 3 divisions along the way)
*at least for people who dont grind costco on rookie
Yeah, it really isn't so bad. I am about 1/5 done so far and have 2 strongholds ready to take over.
Triple with under 35 speed
