I have been playing MLB the show since 21. I was .200 hitter for the first few years. I am 42 am turning 43 in a few months. After all this practice I have been improving skills (and playing on PS5 for the first time this year before on series x). Now I win my 1000 game against a fellow 1000 player while scoring 11 runs on Legend. Not long ago hitting on legend seemed impossible.

Edit: I did this all while not knowing how to use pinpoint pitching and using pulse pitching instead. So if you think it’s not possible to get there. I did it lol

Past years was easier to have a longer winning streak. I started off the game 25-0 or something one year but it was easier because it took you much longer to get up in the ratings. Now you can go from 0-700 in about 8-10 games instead of the 20+ before. I used to not be able to get into WS the first few seasons because I just couldn’t play enough games

Is Shlomo Lipetz pitching for Israel again this year with his 75 mph fastball? If yes then I want team Israel.

New HOF Jeff Kent and Andruw Jones. And bring in Hideo Nomo and that windup that will annoy every person on DD.

Maybe something to do with WBC. Other than that does it really matter at all?

I expect Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent to be in the next game. I am hopeful for more older legends though

No Bob Feller yet is starting to annoy me. Are we losing him for next years game? We are losing way too many old legend pitchers. No Lefty Grove, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, etc.

Also it would be nice to throw in some diamond home run audio calls for us trying to complete collections. Impossible to finish right now. The lack of stadiums all year too is a big drop of the ball since so many never finished and never used the new stadium they added this year. Seemed like an utter waste.

I think the future strikeout king Murakami is going to be a low silver or maybe even a bronze. His defense most likely be common and very poor on his live series card.

Created stadiums were disabled for online multiplayer because of a certain glitchy stadium circumventing the fence rules and allowing bunts to be home runs. There didn’t seem to be a good way of patching it so that feature was disabled

Bob Feller usually gets decent cards so I am surprised he has been completely ignored. Most of 98s and 97s are final. Morneau was recently added with Mauer yet Morneau has never gotten a good card. Pretty wasteful. Would it kill them to drop a retro finest program with some of these legends?

As long as I can buy bother cards for 200k or less a piece I will be happy. The Candle man is a decent switch hitter. I dont see anyone using Noel.

You find him useful online? I’ve faced him a few times and I’ve knocked him out pretty quickly. I find him really easy to hit.

I am just not consistent enough on game to game to get to 1000. I can easily get to World Series each season but getting past the low 900s is just not possible for me. I can top off at maybe 950 at best. On HOF I can score 15 runs one game and then next 2 runs. Maybe 4 or 5 runs on legend would be really good for me. And I am not a good enough pitcher to beat good players that way. The trouble of being 42 years old.

Was awesome when he was released. Now he's like every other card in the game but no speed.

I don’t understand their issues with Willie Mays. The only time they’ve released a god squad type of card for Willie Mays is at the end of the game cycle. Otherwise it’s always been a mediocre to crappy 99.
