They have no way of knowing this. If you can come up with that tech, that would allow them to know when that happens then maybe you can help them out.
A lot of games have harsh disconnect timeouts. Something like a 20 minute cool down for a disconnect wouldn't be unreasonable.

I dont see how its "BS" when they will be for whatever stage you are on. They will be applicable for stage 3, so therefore, it's not unfair unless you dont plan on doing any further stages.
Yep, this is what I was going to say. If you did the grind before, you got to use those FOTF cards when they were still hot. Now with more content and 99s out, they're not as big of a deal, so if people get them now it's not like they're going to threaten your team. And you have a leg up on the next stages.
For me, I enjoy rotating players from different teams making a push on innings used (not really grinding showdowns very much). Getting to the FOTF cards, 5-6 Future Stars and a few TA3 cards will be enough for me. So the catch-up is welcome!

I do think drafting is really key, and while I don't see people talk about strategy around the boosts on here that much, I personally favor contact boosts. Love me the 0-0/1-1/2-2 boosts and 2 strike count boosts.
Regarding drafting, the 6th inning showdown was a lot easier because you could really focus on drafting left-handed batters, you only go up against RHPs.
5th inning was a lot harder, because it was basically all LHPs in the earlier challenges, and then Rivera (RHP) at the end. The key to Rivera was wearing him out though. While that didn't work on Maddux.
I also really recommend using Reddit guides on each of the showdowns. They'll note how each challenge is setup. Maybe there's a challenge where your 7th place hitter goes first with two guys on base. Setup the two guys on base to have speed and your normal leadoff hitter/diamond card in the 7 hole.

Not seeing Prime Betances getting much love here. It's pretty solid, but way too expensive now if you didn't do the work to unlock him in the Prime event.

Things are definitely going to get interesting. I feel like the Nats may face having to forfeit if they won't play. But that's probably the least of the concerns for MLB right now.
I think it's okay if they added a skin or don't. But I played someone recently who changed their team's scoreboard initials to "BLM", if you care personally about making a statement, I think that's a cool place to do it... I look at the score more than my opponent's bat.

Haha, we already bonded over Story on the upgrade speculation thread! I got a spare Story card from the headliner pack from the 6th inning showdown, and I'm going to hold on to that! Feels like a leap to see him go from 85 into the 90+ group.
Very recent example... Had a daily mission for gold hits... in addition to some other players I used Machado and I hit homers with him in three straight games (against serious competition).

Common pitchers and some 99 speed guys on the bench should help with the cap. My biggest concern is that it stays as 3 inning games or at most 6 innings with quick counts.

Spanish seems like a fair addition given the demographics of the US and the game. We may be in the golden age of voice recording for entertainment, so it could be a good time to engage a Spanish broadcasting team.

I really hate the replays, especially in a RS game that already takes so long.
I've embraced pulling the replay trigger for my opponent if I feel like we're evenly matched (XP path wise)... But what you're describing is so frustrating.
I really felt good about hitting two homers against a 100 prestige team... And then they came back and destroyed me.
