@GoozeFn_PSN Because of the power creep. Not because of captains.

@GoozeFn_PSN wholeheartedly disagree with you. Again, theme teams can't all be the best teams. Because as soon as say the Marlins are viable then the Yankees and Dodgers are unbearable. That's just the nature of the available options. Personally I don't think captains or Parallels or IE should exist at all. I want the card to be the card and I don't like all the ways to manipulate them. However I understand the necessity for it for some people to play the way they want and that's ok.
But what it boils down to is if you want to play a theme team you can. but you should never expect that to be your best roster.

@Weshill627_PSN "Playing the game" is boring. That's what you just said. If you don't like it don't play it.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN The Color Storm cards are plenty useable. Just as Jolt were on day one. Are they the best cards in the game? no. But they shouldn't be.
-
@Loyal-Wiglaf_XBL SDS doesn't control pack distribution. RNG does
-
This has been a problem since they changed the quick sell value among tiers. Really we are to the point they need to either reframe the tiers to make diamonds higher overall again. Or make a whole new tier above diamond because it is very clearly different for a card to be 88-89+ or to be an 85.
However this does not mean pack odds have changed and we have to be careful saying things like that because people who don't know what you mean and people who do actually think that packs don't reward what they say they do.

@Dolenz_PSN and in 4 of those games he was only a defensive replacement so that's really 39/52 which is only 75% of games. That's a pretty significant amount.
-
I want Walker to be good so bad! but he's only 22 so I hope they don't give up on him. I hate that Marmol sits him so often.
-
Of course I bought them about 3 days before the pack dropped lol. But I'm glad to see SDS putting these out.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN Pack odds are exactly the same as they have always been.
-
Him not having a fastball or a slider made it tough. But you can bust cutters up and in and the cpu has a hard time hitting them, I used to never use the cutter but it's become on of my favorite pitches this year.
-
@RealMessiah_XBL You can always play with the lineup you want.
-
@Dolenz_PSN Yet we've also gotten 3 for free from inning XP paths soooo I think it balances out.
And you forgot about Donavon who was a free card for the April Spotlight Month program.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL Not at all! My apologies if I sounded mad, just discussing.
-
@BurkeyPoo_NSW While I like the idea I don't need a card series that gives me the same diamonds that already exist. I would want it to be guys like Jarrod Parker who had such big expectations but had to keep going under the Knife.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL In that case totally understandable. And my apologies, in any case those were the fan voted ones so just a popularity contest.
-
@Ericulous1_PSN They aren't But every player who is actively suspended from MLB is taken out of packs, programs, etc. They did this with Tatis some years ago. That's just how they've always done it. The players you mentioned are not currently suspended thus they are allowed in the game. Other players (Roberto Alomar) that are currently suspended are not allowed in the game.
-
@Def266_MLBTS It will be a separate track. They aren't going on the My Journey path. They will go in the Color Storm Path.
@MarioMendoza935_XBL said in Color Storm:
Austin Riley for the Braves. First reveal for someone having a decent season this year.
I wouldn't say this is true. Ruiz is having arguably his best year and is a fan vote, as was the rest of the NL East. In terms of the just released Central Victor Scott II is having a really nice season and is a really fun player to watch. Sal Frelick has a 115 OPS+. Nico Hoerner started the year hurt and still already has 1.5 WAR, Nick Lodolo has cut his walk rate in half and has a 3.22 ERA.
Sure they may not all be sexy names but saying they aren't having decent seasons is just simply false. I would call all of these decent in fact I'd call them very solid.

@Dh20092009_MLBTS I had an idea similar to Madden that was like "breakout opportunities" idk exactly how it would be implemented but I think it would be a cool way to get big bumps for guys based on performance. I also think they could implement a development speed attribute along with the potential score to show that not every guy gains (or loses) skills at the same rate.
-
I agree, we also never have the splash in the pan guys. Like my go to example is Allen Craig, guy came up and was very productive and consistent for 3 seasons including an all star year. Then he just lost it and was out of the league two years later.
Or guys like Brent Rooker who don't start hitting until they are almost 30. If that happened in franchise they would never reach an overall that was useable because by that time they already are starting to regress.
