The CPU defense is ridiculous. I've played about thirty games and haven't seen one error. I've looked at replays on the CPU's defensive reaction and common fielders with bad reaction don't hesitate like my fielders. And yes every IF is a gold glover.

As long as they don't make showdown mandatory.

It feels like MLB the Show 24.5

I tried playing today and just gave up, I don't feel like grinding for 89 rated cards again.

Me too. I redownloaded MLB 21, made a new account and restarted DD.

This is the easiest showdown I've done all year.

I always choose the 1k stubs. If I get 5,000 more of these packs I can finish the live series collection.

Are you using a created jersey or MLB one? I thing they only show up on created jersey's.
