No 4th of July Conquest Map?

MY GUESS: there's a small portion of this player base whose average weekly purchases are so much (you know, the players who spent $2,000 to have Babe Ruth on opening night---the people who had claimed to spend hundreds+ before that April account unlinking incident---pack addicts---etc.) that SDS has become increasingly indifferent to the player base whose investments either end or are very minimal after the initial purchase (e.g. NMS players).
That's purely speculation on my part though as SDS has the #s.

They must have metrics that show boredom equals pack purchases....still enjoy baseball....nothing to do....buy packs

Wow. Some of you really believe this is the last year of The Show?
That's pretty heavy.
I can't see it at all. -

I can't see it at all.Definitely can't see Sony not producing more MLB games however, I'm betting that we see pretty significant changes at San Diego Studios.

I’m confused how what they did this year they think is better
-
Even if it’s not the last year of the show they sure as hell aren’t going to make any advancements or improvements. Next gen will never happen. Gameplay will only get worse and RNG based giving all sorts of players a fighting chance. It’s gonna turn into a fuckin arcade game. Already is this year. 23 is crack compared to this [censored] clown of a game. And I highly doubt we see announcements come fall for the show 25. SDS is gone. Half laid off apparently. Maybe a 26. But I just am not seeing announcements for 25 towards the end of the year. They have dissapeared

Maybe those changes were already made. We used to see 10-12 guys that were live or related and we've seen what this year - 4?

It does definitely feel like this years version is more about making a buck than customer experience
-
Y'all are all wrong and clearly the minority here. This game is perfect and probably the best version they have ever made. Just stop with the hate and let people have fun!

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN
I see what you did there. -
No city connect got released this week. You thought we would get a conquest without one?

I can't see it at all.Last year is dramatic, yes but, if the game stayed this way or WORSE how many years would you give it? Id say 3 maybe 2 years after 25 IF they didn't improve the game by drastic measures.

23 was pretty bad as well and it got my money but this one is disgustingly obvious.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a different developer that’s been working on a MLB game already and SDS is just a placeholder until it’s finished. Seems like they don’t have the staff or ability to make the next gen leap. You really need a brand new game top to bottom as the engine The Show runs on is extremely outdated at this point.
-
you can only hope this year is getting less attention because they are, someone is, working on the next greatest MLB game.
-
I don't see how anyone can say SDS is going to drop THE SHOW after this year. I think they have a deal with MLB for another 4 to 5 years make a game. So they can't stop making the game if they wanted to as it would break the contract.
Also, they're making a lot of money on the game so doubt they would just drop it.
If there was another developer making an MLB game you would have heard about it now. EA isn't making one as they have Super mega baseball already.

The core gameplay, while could use a few tweaks obviously, is as good as sports games get so I think MLB would pressure Sony to give the game more resources before going elsewhere (and EA would be the only alternative)
And if MLB was so worried about next gen they wouldnt have forced it to go to switch
