I like the list overall. I'd also add the GBL is stale and miniseasons could desperately use a revamp.
I especially agree on the maxed cards. 125 means absolutely nothing now.
-
The thing people disliked was neither sets nor seasons. It was expiring cards. Seasons were just longer innings. Nothing more. Sets were cards released in a season/inning. They could have both of these concepts without expiring cards.
They only reason they renamed innings to seasons is they made them longer so a 5 inning year wouldn't make sense.

@victoryphoenix_PSN the lineup flexibility will never happen because you can't do that in real baseball
You can carry 6 SPs?
He said carry 6 relievers not starters
This used to be the norm and is still allowed under current rules as far as I know

rops universally were terrible.
Personally that's a hard and strong disagree from me. I think the Sets were god awful
That's fine, i didn't mention sets. I mentioned seasons.
Sets and Seasons are two unrelated concepts. In fact, expiring cards is also unrelated.
Seasons are just longer innings. Nothing more, nothing less. Sets were just the cards that released during those innings. You know what else is a set? Moonshot. Or New Threads. or Jolt.
SDS could make New Thread cards unusable during inning 8 if they wanted too, so you could have the thing people hated in 2023 and 2024 without using either the word sets or seasons.
My issue, is that as a mainly offline player, innings drops were just normal Fridays, if not worse. You had a spotlight program. Maybe a small conquest, maybe not. You never had a mini season, which was a staple in 2023 and 2024. You never had a big program to work towards. It was just the xp track which is mostly passive anyway (and cornerstone, which imo wasnt well done)
In short, i treated innings drops as a week off and I would come back when they released more things to do
Seasons, on the other hand, coincided with TA drops so there was always a LOT to do.
Part of this is TA sucked this year, but that combined with hollow innings really killed a lot of my enthusiasm for DD.

I don't like this trade. The Mets have young infield options. Marcus is already a diminished hitter, how much longer will he be a good defender?
Hopefully Nimmo vetoes it, if they are going to trade Nimmo it should be to get younger and not older
-
I have 23 and 24 both installed still and regularly play 23
-
Holiday pack still live in 24.
FOMO is just dumb design -
Ive already claimed it, but its pretty dumb to have a time limit on this. Just leave it up permanently for people who want to do a fresh start, or pick the game up in the offseason.
-
McGriff is an odd one not to be in.
Olerud is in the unpopular mold of high average lefty 1B, but he was so absurdly underrated when he played. Probably deserved the MVP in 1993. Hes Keith Hernandez with more pop and not quite as godlike defensively, but still exceptional.

We need a DQ Rewind pack….badly! Get these card prices down to manageable levels!
Doesn’t need to give us all of them, but a choice pack would be awesome!
The fact that these cards still go for so much is, at least to me, an indication that the mode is a bit of a failure.
I mean, can't you still play them all?
As one example Sonny Gray has multiple people willing to buy him for over 50K (with one current buy order at 99,001). Only three cards are listed for sale at 299K, 300K, and 400K
If people enjoyed this mode I can't understand why these prices have stayed high and have actually continued to go up?
This was my thinking as well. Its not like the card quality changed, unlike weekend classic which saw prices skyrocket once the cards became good.
SDS has the metrics though I would assume, and Ive posted elsewhere some suggestions to improve DQ if they keep it around as there are a few out there who genuinely enjoy it.

I think they should focus on getting a lot of cheap legends this year. We already have most of the big legends people want, so get a bunch of guys who had 1 or 2 exciting years (Chris Davis, Tim Lincecum, Wade Davis, people like that)
I would say they should focus on guys who had good years for multiple teams, but then Reggie Sanders fits that mold as well as anyone in recent MLB history and they just gave him two Reds cards....
-
While run it back already exists, I suspect the mini season coming in a few weeks will add a bunch of repeatable packs of the ones that arent in the deluxes. Possibly the DQ as well
-
The downside to the 'every team a player has played for' thing will be cases like Manny Ramirez for the Rays. And it also might encourage them to make less cards.
I don't know what the answer is for guys that should have high 90s on multiple teams though. Like the recent Sheffield card could easily have been a Braves or Marlins card. Nothing seems to anger some people more than a player getting multiple deserved cards.

This game needs a severe overhaul in how it’s played, Diamond quest had a lot of promise but making it moments and showdowns before 2 inning game made it boring as sin.
My ideas for DQ
- When you fail to get a card your earned progress (% boost) carries over to the next run
- You have choices when you land on an event square: For example a choice of 2 of the three: moment, showdown, 3 inning game
- Give the player a bit more agency elsewhere as well. Instead of just a random debuff, give a choice of accepting a minor debuff, or losing 2% towards your progress in exchange for a diamond buff

I was wondering if they would "juice" the packs again this year, but it appears they did not.
-
Nobody cares about your 1000 hours or your entitlement.
Its a power creep model, new players can always catch up quickly.
-
Im pretty sure we didnt get content into December last year, besides one or two of those captain drops
Edit: looks like season 4 (forever) dropped same time . But in 2024 season drops came with TA content, in 2025 they do not. This is just what innings are. Brock, Murray, and Smith are essentially the inning cards, they just put them in programs/DQ
-
I think the inning XP path has been hot trash all year. the cards have been fine, but no better than program cards really. the rewards outside of those cards have been underwhelming to say the least.
The fact we still have programs and a miniseason is far more important than another terrible copy/paste xp track. At least spinning the wheel will be exciting again with the chance of getting a chase choice card.
-
The wheel is at least worthwhile
