I'm fine with making pinpoint more difficult but when I hit the pitch 90+ and I'm not off anywhere else I expect it to go where its supposed to or [censored] close.... Not hit 65% and all over the place and its closer to the spot than my better timed pitch thats my issue.

Or in BR when I can actually scrap together wins it all goes down the toilet with cramp connection and they get all the hits and my hits are lagges through the air to go no where or for studdering to cause errors or bad animations. Im just looking for ideas on how to make this better

Here is my theory and I have spent several years testing and changing different things. None has worked because I am not changing from fiber.

Allegedly, the servers for this game are in Florida, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas, Colorado and West coast. Almost every time I play someone with these names or around those areas are really bad experiences. I am in KC with wired fiber internet and KC is 8-9 hour drive to the closest of these alleged servers.

Now the game is peer to peer but the game still needs to connect to a server. Say I play a guy from Florida (happens all the time along with these other cities). Say I can ping to Florida server in 75 ms. However, the Florida player pings to the Texas server in 150 ms. The game will choose Florida server because it is a better ping match. Not really because now I am pinging the Florida server in 75 but since he is in FLorida he is pinging the server at 50. His information is going to get to the server quicker. This is where you see the warping (appears faster) pitch speeds, slow baserunning, bad fielding animations, non-pci hr's, your good/good pool noodle bats and a host of other things. I can promise you that while pitching_rebel is a good player he is more than likely ALWAYS connecting to the Florida server. I do believe if he played at my house he would be a WS player but he wouldn't sniff going 75-2 in a season. This is why the top players are always the top players. The servers never move and they do not have enough of them. Almost every top player in this game is in or close to one of the server cities.

I guarantee that if I moved to Chicago, I would have a much better playing experience with worse internet. People think these are excuses but I still make the WS all the time. In 17, my first real year playing DD, I made the WS easily with an all gold lineup. It gets worse the more people leave too because the game connects you with opponents further away more frequently.

Just played a Ranked game pushing for WS. Its just obvious as hell when the game is gonna make you lose. Made a beautiful diving catch with SR it just hits my glove goes 20 ft the other direction so cf cant get it guy on 2nd. Throw to first no db the guy that was on 2nd scores cuz theres no dble play an my first basemen wouldn't throw in time. Flys out next inning 4-4 now. I hit my 2 hr with acuna 5-4. Next inning. He hits a hr on a perfect perfect change that was supposed to be way inside but some how is perfect and ends up bottom of the zone meatball 5-5 . next guy gets up he someone gets a hit on a very late slider inside. Next guy i throw a fb high and way out of the strike zone like Judge top of the strike zone high and its with hader so it has that sweep to it the guy Perfect Perfects it. Like please please tell me how the hell is that even possible. For one the ball wasnt even near or even could have been near his pci.

Timing is twice if not three times more important than PCI depending on the pitch location. If the pitch is anywhere near the dead center of strike zone then yes PCI matters but if the pitch is placed on the edges of the strike zone then timing becomes paramount over PCI in my experience. And good timing is not good. I mean it is and can be but I always here people on here complaining about good/good swings. Those swings are supposed to be fly outs to deep center field with ~15-20% being HRs. Perfect/perfects with the ball slightly above the center are HRs 75-80% of the time. If you’re timing is perfect on an inside pitch then all you really need is to get the ball anywhere near the top half of your PCI and it’ll be homer. Get perfect PCI but late timing and it’s 100% one of two things a blooper to opposite field or routine fly-ball to opposite infield/outfield.

I feel your pain. I have been playing the mode Extra Innings Mode and having a blast doing that. Maybe try that and see what you think. Best wishes.

Chalk it up to the twilight zone,online records are meaningless when online is exploited. One game in doubt makes all games in doubt. A boxscore from another dimension aint history. A cheaters record is a fairy tell easily deciphered. Why not obliterate it?

Well yes that is true

I'm terrible at this game and I rarely play online, but I'm 15-9 in ranked so it could be worse. No matter how bad you are, if you drop down to a low enough level there will eventually be someone who sucks more than you. At least that's my experience.

I may never reach world series, but I have fun and I hold my own against the other garbage players so I'm happy lol.
