The only way to play RTTS consistently is as a hitter. If you are a SP the game will force you to be a two way player after you reach the bigs after about five starts. If you are a CP the game will force you into a SU role the next season. You can’t enjoy this mode as a pitcher anymore and it’s sad. Game is the worst and they won’t fix RTTS as they are too busy making money of DD. I hope their sales plummet next year and people just stick to 20.

Thanks for essentially becoming a new EA sports. Instead of fixing and updating the mode that made you famous you’d rather cash grab in Diamond Dynasty. Hope another competitor steps it up on the future and hurts your sales as that’s the only way EA and your studio will learn their lesson.

Because they’d rather try to make money off of diamond dynasty rather than fix the issue. They have become the EA sports of baseball and this is the last year they will make money off of me. They quickly turned into a greedy company.

Anyone else think SDS turned into EA here? They completely bungled RTTS for me and it’s not even as close to enjoyable as previous years. They seem to have turned into a greedy company like EA and would rather focus on Diamond Dynasty rather than fix RTTS so they can make more money off of players.

Yeah I reported it. That’s what it looks like, no matter what I do I am forced to be one. I even deleted the position player load out and it still forces me to.

I talked to the agent, said I wanted to just be a pitcher and a starting pitcher. Every coaching option that came up I mentioned I wanted to be a pitcher. They have still forced me to be a two way player about three games into time being called up to the MLB. This is the third character this has happened to, I even waited a season to see if they would ask me to switch back to just pitching and they never ask. I posted all of this information in my main comment to avoid redundant answers like this that don’t solve the problem but thanks.

Has anyone found a way to just have a pitcher in RTTS and not be a two way player?
I chose the options through the minor league to just stay a pitcher, when the agent called I stated I just wanted to be a pitcher. Now any time I’ve done a pitcher only RTTS play through it forces my pitcher to be a two way player after three games and never gives me an option to not want to be a two way player. This has happened numerous times and I don’t know a current way around it, it’s frustrating because when I get to the playoffs it just has my player become a position player for half of the games but does not allow me to pitch.

There are a lot of us experience this issue. It’s been intermittent with me and all I can say is it’s a bug. Sad but I’m hanging this game up until they patch it as I play RTTS exclusively and there’s no way to progress my player.

Nope same thing. My archetype tasks haven’t updated in a long time. I think I’ll put this game down for a while or just request a refund since I can’t progress my player. It’s a shame companies release broken trash all the time.
