Thought it was great overall. Unfortunately my 3rd game (which was also my World Series game) was a complete mess of teleporting pitches and lagging. This game was played on Friday night so I assume it was a very busy time for the servers.
This was the only gripe I had though… enjoyed my 5 other games and enjoyed the weekend overall.
I think these are great changes for Battle Royale and Events, but Ranked and Weekend Classic should not be “in a hurry” modes and should cater to people who want to play a realistic (and strategic) 9 inning game.
I’ve already timed out of one Ranked game this year, and this morning I came within 3 seconds of timing out after doing nothing but bringing the infield in to cover bunts, and changing pitchers. I had to keep a reliever in for 2 innings because I was scared I would run out of time if made a change.
I don’t know if the timer runs out faster than it’s supposed to, or there’s just not enough time, but I would love to see it go back to how it was.
My favourite part of each year’s game is the first couple of weeks when you need to build your team up from scratch and make difficult lineups choices. I booked the first day of S2 off work and it was insanely fun basically having a second launch day… I will probably do the same thing for the first day of S3.
I’ve also noticed positive changes to the gameplay since they tuned the foul ball frequency. I’ve seen much more realistic strikeout totals online since the patch.
Excellent game this year SDS, I wish I didn’t have to go to work and could just play all day every day.
You could insert me into a major league game in real life, and I would get a better jump than players do in this game… not even hyperbole.
Was just getting destroyed online by a guy with a 16-1 record so I decided all I wanted out of the game was a stolen base to finish that Egg Hunt program… not even close… and with guys like Jackie and Bobby Witt none the less.
@virusts yea I feel that… I started I think 16-0 last year, and this I’m like 22-11 or something like that.

I am old. I haven’t made World Series since July 2021. Should I give up?
I just threw 5 innings with him in Ranked and the fastest pitch he threw was 100 mph (and only a couple of them).
10 IP online -> Season 5 Team Affinity voucher.
Anything like this that incentivizes competitive online play rather than grinding against the CPU on Rookie is a massive W.
I can honestly say I’ve never quit out of a Ranked game in my 3 or 4 years playing DD, so I have the right to make this post…
For me it’s impossible to ever play a full Ranked game until I get to like 800 rating and start getting my [censored] kicked… so basically I never get to finish a game and celebrate a win. Not to mention all the stats and PXP that are lost from my opponent quitting out in the middle of a 3-run homer.
A couple options for fixing this:
A cool-down penalty for an opponent that leaves a game early
A rating penalty for an opponent that leaves a game early
If the game ends in the middle of an at-bat, the batter is awarded a Home Run (with all RBIs, runs, PXP etc. counted)
Anyone have any other ideas?
I was getting ridiculous exit velos today (110mph) with pretty mid-tier cards (like TN Higashioka). Anyone else notice this?
I pitched with MA Sonny Gray today and this happened 5 or 6 times. It almost cost me the game. It's a shame because I haven't noticed it in months before today.

For those who don't know -- on perfect input the ball is landing ONLY on the edge of the par, never anywhere on the inside. That's clearly a bug.
I couldn't figure out why my pitching was so erratic this year, but this is definitely why... thanks for pointing it out.
Would really love to see it fixed before I make my World Series push.
I see so much negativity on these forums, the livestreams, social media, etc. I just wanted to say I’ve been playing this game a ton in the last few weeks and I’m absolutely loving it. SDS does a great job, keep it up.

My goal for 22 is to make World Series every season in Ranked. I only made it once in 21. Lord have mercy on my soul.
When you are pitching, a visual cue when a runner takes off to steal a base (especially when your opponent has a runner on 2nd and is trying to steal 3rd). Some kind of flashing text that says "STEAL", "STEAL", "STEAL" or something similar.
Many users play the game without listening to the game audio (they play while listening to music, watching movies, etc.) and this would be a great addition.
I’m fairly new to Diamond Dynasty… can someone explain to me why Finest is causing such a huge crash on end game cards like Gehrig, Gossage, etc?

Using “Pitch Trail On”, when you select his cutter sometimes it shows it breaking way to the left, and sometimes it shows it breaking straight down (basically no useful break at all). When you throw the pitch it seems to follow these trajectories… the one that breaks is much more effective than the one that doesn’t.
I think I’ve noticed this with other pitchers’ cutters and sliders too (I think DeGrom’s slider sometimes does this).
Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?

K I agree with this… maybe the sliders are messed up for that moment?
I’ve been hitting off DeGrom on Legend for practice and Nolan’s fastball on Rookie seemed just as fast…
