If I am playing the CPU in a conquest game or v CPU All-Star game as part of a program...why the hell not? I'm usually only applying limited attention to those games while watching the news or Netflix.

They were definitely in the 9th and 10th inning reward paths and conquest maps last year. This year they are creating quite a conundrum for me though. I should be hitting Prestige Level 10 later this week and when I do I will need to choose between filthy cheater PS Springer (freeing up a PS card to auction off and cash in on) while collecting my 15th PS for the Trout collection...or do I grab Jose Ramirez and his swinging pool noodle so I can be one card closer to the Finest collection? What to do? What to do?

Every year PS cards are the collection in shortest supply. Whenever PS cards appear early on as henchmen or Event rewards I always make it a point to grab them cheap. I love Eddie Murray at 1B. I picked up 2 of his PS cards for 10K each when he was an event reward. Sold one during the stub sale for 160K.

MLBTS 16 was "Show me you can press triangle and bunt down the 3rd base line." If the bunt cheese element weren't there it was probably the best gameplay we've had...but all you needed t do to have a competitive team was collect 1-2 divisions and complete conquest + feed missions.

No, a player picking up the game for the first time right now could not compete. That would be silly.

A player with experience playing previous MLBTS games and just getting MLBTS20 right now could give many players a fun and competitive game though. That is what counts.

The new MA Nick Castellanos plays well at 1st if you are looking for a right handed 1B bat. He's free if you've done all the Monthly Awards programs including the MA Tatis.

Tops Now cards will give way to easily earned 'Finest' cards in a few weeks. Late in the cycle it will not be uncommon to see a complete team of finest players capable of outperforming a legendary team you have done all the hard work to put together.

And that is OK. Did you have fun putting together the team you wanted? Did you have fun collecting the cards?

Late adopters may have a harder time getting Mantle, Biggio, and Trout on their teams. Late adopters have no access to the free Boss level cards you earned through the Innings Programs because without the vouchers there is no way to earn enough stars...It's OK. Newcomers need a way to compete or they won't stick around. If you want the same juiced high end cards, you have just as much ability to acquire them.

Last year this game was fun to play all through the winter.

I'd like to see a "Let Them Play" event (Inspired by a Bad News Bears sequal which starred Scott Baio's cousin Jimmy).

Set an age cap at say 24. Time to recycle all those Prospect, Future Stars, and Rookies. Maybe bring back the Prospect packs to lower the value of these cards which no longer work on people's end game squads?

Also, while it may be true that MA Tatis is the best SS in the game atm, he may also be the best 2B and/or 3B. Be flexible within. He won't have a blue defensive shield at SS until he is prestiged....but that gold shield plays well all over the IF.

How long into he game cycle do you plan to play? If you plan to play baseball into the X-Mas season, then you may see rock bottom prices in late November...is the wait worthwhile? A stub sale increases the prices of cards and I guarantee you we will see a stub sale before we see another pack sale.

Yeah, but if you played it smart and held on to all the Topps Now cards you earned from the weekly releases and added those to the cards they give away for free in the program (including the Monthly Awards cards) then you had all the cards you needed to get to 35. If you sold those cards when they came out to grab a few extra stubs in the short term then that was on you...was the Opportunity Cost of the short term gain from selling those cards worth the tradeoff? I have a feeling we will see some Topps Now packs in the next conquest map, so maybe it would have been. We'll know in a week or two.

Not only is POTM Tatis currently the best SS in the game, he may also be amongst the best 2B and 3B in the game.

As you scroll through it it says which one offers a voucher and for which stage. Unfortunately the conquest screwed my numbers up, so even if I do stage 4, I think I am going to be short points to get the final card unless I do online. If I was able to go back and collect points in stage 1 and 2 that I wasn't finished I would of been ok...

You were absolutely right. When going into 'Moments' from the main screen (Not DD) there are 5 Moments for Jackie Stage 3 and 5 Moments for Jackie Stage 5. Each Moment is worth a voucher that can be redeemed for 3 points apiece.

When they do well people write it off as a result of the altitude...even though they compensate for it by having one of the largest outfields in MLB.

At least this year we get a little recognition in the cards for Todd Helton and Larry Walker. Where's my Juan Pierre Rookie card though? Can SDS throw a little money and get Pedro (Astacio) into the game? Pre-launch hype was centered around featuring players from the 1990's and 2000's. Whither Ubaldo Jimenez and Jorge De LaRosa?

All-Star Jackie (Stage 4) is at least eligible for use in the event. Veteran Jackie is not good enough to use in RS, and his power numbers make him ineligible for the Event. I don't know if there are moments associated with Stage 4. I sure do hope so.
