Having a resource like this, along with a YouTube video i can't locate right now, lead me to a nice revelation.
It took me four days to increase my total Diamond Dynasty walks from 170 to the 300 required to complete the task and get the reward AFTER I did the bit of research to find how people draw walks. After that I just had the innings pitched task and completed that in a day. I finally got the workhorse uniform (much more awful than I anticipated when being used) and the touching grass award (super cool and much more enjoyable than I anticipated).
The difference was turning up the difficulty from rookie to legendary or GOAT when playing the CPU. It was then that I noticed the benefits of being patient that all the videos )that were supposed to teach me how to hit) meant. I started getting 7-8 walks a game for many games.
I played MLB the Show most of this year with about 6 weeks off around the AS break. I had pretty much given up on getting all the tasks completed, mostly because I never could be patient enough to draw walks.
Thanks to everyone who posts here for your help this season. I'm beginning to understand why I was advised to play All-Star of HOF level instead of rookie. I still can't hit but I see that most players with my experience have trouble too.

I earned the Weaver spotlight card but it won’t appear when I try to put him in the rotation. I see the card everywhere else. Ideas?

It appears that my wildcard was awarded to my cornerstone captain. I’m not sure how that happened. Any ideas on how to remove the wildcard designation?

Thanks guys. To be clear, I don’t expect to dominate my first season. I’m enjoying this game immensely. I just want to be progressing to where I can help carry the co-op team occasionally and not be so dependent on the better players.

@Blind_Bleeder Yes. Sometimes I really rake against the CPU and other times, it cracks down on me. I can win on rookie and vet settings but really struggle on all-star and higher (although I can win on legend). It seems pitching is right where I want it to be but I go online and get lit up.
I am clearly overmatched when hitting online. They say pitch recognition comes with experience. I thought I would have seen a difference by now.

This morning I’ve determined that I really cannot hit. Zone, directional or timing- I’m not getting it. Rank in the high 300s or so. And yes, I’m not custom practicing. My cards are good, but none from BR because I just can’t compete.
So, how long did it take for you to get better at hitting? Was the custom practice necessary? If so, did you find a way to make that fun?

While we’re talking about the wheel…….any patterns I should look for? I get a silver more than anything and never a diamond.

First year player here.
So I understand I’ll only be able to keep four cards in 24 days, but what happens to the rest of my collection?
Also, do I want to save stubs for the start of season 2? Will it be a complete restart (with 4 carryover cards)?

I see on YouTube a player talks about the pci getting bigger or smaller. Is this only at a certain level or setting. My pci seems static.

What value do uniforms have? Is there a reason to not sell dupes?

I would like to play the bandboxes too. Do I have to buy a PS5 to do so?

Last night my app shows I sold all of the cards I had for sale at the price I asked for. My stubs reflect this gain. I looked on the players card and it doesn’t show a price spike. Does this mean it’s a glitch?

@flamexJD20 sure, we all have the right to play the game how we choose. That doesn’t make it right.
