Well, in MLB, if players aren’t ready to hit a fastball, they won’t. “Look fast / fight curve” is a saying for a reason.

People just want to sit offspeed and foul off every every heater with very late timing.

The fastball is the primary pitch for 75% of pitchers in the game, you have to be looking for it.

Jacoby Ellsbury is in contention for “best swing in the game”. Moncada is great too

To make him play realistically, they need to have it programmed realistically. Do not give him pitches he did not throw. Program the game to where it is harder for the batter you are controlling to make good contact with the ball. This has always been the problem with zone hitting. Just bc the user can identify the cutter and it’s location, does not mean the batter you are controlling can.

One of the most helpful hitting tip videos is Mcgunki’s on you tube. It’s the “click, click, click” method. Highly suggest looking it up if you are struggling with consistent timing.

Also, make sure your TV is in game mode.
