I would buy this year's version. It's the last one I'll own. Next year will have DH in the NL, runners starting on 2nd and if they could 7 inning games for double headers.
No thanks, I like real baseball, not this modern game that caters to people with short attention spans.

There are still people playing ranked in 17. I jumped into a couple of games over the weekend and I didn’t have to wait too long for a matchup. There will definitely be people that stick with 19 the whole year, and I’ll be one of them since I have no interest in grinding everything out again this year.
This year my plan is to try to run through my PS4 backlog before the PS5 comes out while playing 19 every once in a while. When PS4 came back I never went back to play a bunch of unopened PS3 games I had, and I know the same thing would probably happen again if I were to jump into MLB 2020.
Hopefully Mantle and Rivera will still be in 2021 because I’ll be pissed if I miss out on using them.
You can just wait until the game goes on sale half way though the year or get it for free toward the end of the year if they continue to do that.
I would download it for free if it went on PS+ again (I doubt it would), but I have a bit of a completionist mentality when it comes to diamond dynasty. I’m currently 6 market cards away from having all of them in 19 even though I’ll never use more than half of them. If I picked up the game late, I probably wouldn’t leave the house for weeks trying to catch up lol
That could be that your game lagged at that moment via internet & cause that to happen at that very moment or the game it self glitched oddly & randomly like that. That had nothing to do with the other player because there is nothing he can do to cause that. This game is too complex & secure for just anyone to hack like that. And if someone did, then stuff like that would have happen immediately making someone rage quit from it. That's my take on it. Next time it happens, go to the replays & see how it shows there & as well video save it so now you have something to show.
