I've been playing MLB The Show since 08 and have loved the game every year. When I heard the game was going to come out for XBox I was worried for many reasons. Well, it looks like my worrying was justified because this is just awful. Obviously aside from not being able to play online, I can't even enjoy Road to the Show offline anymore. Not only does my progress not save when the servers are down because my player is connected to DD, I can no longer create a player using my actual last name (Gilfert) because apparently it is profane. How mature, SDS. Once again this is because I could potentially use this player online, unlike years past where RTTS was just offline. Very very frustrating and disappointing. Please do not let this game turn into Madden!

I did get the announcers talking about the other team's pitcher, "making his major league debut", and something about what he used to do in the minors, a couple of times last night. Bear in mind that my player is currently still in Double A, and this pitcher was making his major league debut for the Hartford Yard Goats.

I'm not really all that bothered by the commentary, one way or the other, but the fact that my player's last name is no longer in the audio list really threw me off my game. I created a new guy, and I like him, but it feels so wrong not playing with the character I've had for years at this point that I'm just gonna break down and make him anyway, and just deal with him being referred to as Number 20.

If you think your last name not being in the audio anymore is bad, my real life last name is now flagged as "inappropriate text" when I try to create my ballplayer. Was the same way last year too and it completely ruined RTTS for me.

Yes it does, means more people will be online to play it. Which means there will be more people on the servers. This game allready had server issues when it was only on PS

For the most part the servers were always great, the game was never unplayable like it is this year. SDS sold out plain and simple

Way to know what you're talking about.... SDS had no say in the game going to Xbox. Zero. None. MLB basically threatened to take the license away if they didn't expand to other platforms bc their contract was ready to be renewed.. You all sound stupid saying this all the time. At the very least have an idea what you're talking about
