@platewelder_363_MLBTS Still pretty much Home Run Derby in the WBC and Cityscapes mini-seasons. Murals for some reason plays worse than Conquest games. I don't understand why they mess with difficulties like that.

Yeah I may give up on the Mural mini-seasons. Effort not worth the reward. Rarely get anything over the fence with the Mural hitters, my only offense is Moniak or waiting til the 4th to Sac fly-sac fly my 1 run. Right now it's even questionable I'll make playoffs in my 3inn/28 game season, as opposing hitters often just run into one of my pitches.
Possibly might move to 9 inning games see if I have better luck, but once I get the cards will never touch this one again.

On Rookie pitchers do not throw down the middle anymore. They changed the AI to try and get to full counts every at bat. Nibble...nibble and if 0 - 2 you will get 3 straight balls, this happens 99% of the time.
Also is it just me or is the Mural mini-season 10x harder than the previous ones? I don't think I have more than 4 hits in any game yet.

So haven't been to the boards in a few days: Two threads about online opponents swinging at everything hitting HRs on every pitch off the plate. One thread that online hitting is too hard and perfect/perfects are outs. Honestly I feel for SDS in this situation how do you win here? (FYI I don't play online so my opinion means nothing)

Started the morning at 440k. All content is done except for Witt's 7th step, which is worth 10k. I played a 3 inning conquest game and a 9 inning mini-season game (7 - 1). Now I'm sitting at 441,969. This is absolutely laughable at this point.

Here's the problem with the "YoU jUsT hAvE tO gRiNd" argument. I am playing the same amount I did last year. I completed every Inning program including many wheel spins last year. They also had much more offline content last year. Yet this year I have yet to finish an Inning program, and am going to be short on this one as well. You want to stand on a pedestal and have us worship you that you are the greatest gamer of all time because YOU finished the program but the rest of us aren't worthy and it should only be awarded to GREAT gamers like you, have fun with the delusion dude. Here's the facts though, the more of us disappointed with content, not finishing innings and getting rewards, the more of us SKIP buying this game next year.

I find it a little harder, or maybe I just suck more. Last season I couldn't seem to hit under .400 in AA/AAA and I had a 3B that was leading the Majors in HRs in his 2nd year in the pros. This year I was hitting mid 300s in Minors, I have 1 pro and can't seem to hit over .270.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I do remember that, and I don't remember when they got rid of it. It was never an incentive, but it was a nice thing to see at the end and sometimes got golds. Why does stuff people liked get nuked all the time?

DD is an online focused mode.
If SDS agrees with you they are going to lose a huge chuck of their player base.
-
Id imagine their understanding is that boredom is a massive mover of stub sales and pack openings....
It is? For me it's going to play other games.

I used to be a competitive bowler. I carried a 200 average, bowled collegiately, multiple leagues and tournaments each month. You know what I didn't do? Go over to the 80 average bowlers on the lane next to me just playing to have fun, and tell them "you guys are weak". That's what maturity looks like.

Yeah. The amount of XP needed is kind of irrelevant. It is the opportunities to earn that XP that is more important
This^^^. The XP needed for a boss should be around the same that you get for going through all offline content in the inning ONCE.

Guys just block the "online" troll, he's got nothing better to do than harrass people from mommie's basement while he eats his 8th bag of skittles and drinks his 28th mountain dew bought from mommie's SNAP benefits.

They are very actively pushing casual single player DD players away, which is insane, since that is most of the DD player base. Still no repeatable for packs conquest. Requiring playing on All-Star for the reward card in Mini-Seasons.
I actually liked the 11 All-Star wins mission. I went 11 - 5 to do it, switched back to Rookie and finished the season. No other reason to play that mini-season so back to repeating WBC over and over for 5 Ballin packs...now bored with that as well.

Just finished my I-don't-know-"th" time through WBC mini-seasons. TA's are all done through the first level of Jolts (the rest are all 100 TB grinds). Every offline program is done. I'm around halfway to 500k and have no desire to keep repeating the existing content. "CoNtEnT iSnT tHe PrObLeM" folks, how did you get to the 500k without mind-numbing repeated content? I'm pretty much heading over to other games at this point. Will I return on 5/1 to finish that content in 2 hours? Not sure, but this is by far the earliest in the history of MLB the Show I've felt the "I'm done with the game" feeling.

On top of the team icons being wrong all year so far, now the pitcher previews are wrong and I'm getting completely different pitchers nearly every time. I don't understand why mini-seasons is a buggy mess right now when it wasn't like this at all last year. Can anyone confirm if a complete restart is needed to clear this up?

I'll rarely touch conquest because it feels...off? It plays entirely different from other modes. I grind offline primarily for the XP path.Yeah Conquest has been different for a few years now. I don't have any evidence to back it up but I think what happened is they changed Conquest from the "casual" setting to "simulation" which plays a lot more brutally. Mini seasons and versus CPU are on the "casual" setting so you can hit HRs with guys even in the 60s in power. In Conquest it seems like the only way to get a HR is with a 100+ power guy, a perfect/perfect pull shot. Everything else dies at the warning track.

@markemark_NSW Don't restart after finishing a season. Back out completely then start a new season from the Mini-seasons selection screen (should show 3),then it should give you a popup asking if you want 3 innings or 9.
-
@markemark_NSW if you struggle with hitting (and it's not tv settings) my biggest advice would be to stay away from Conquest and look to mini-seasons/vs cpu for the stat hunting. If you absolutely have to play a Conquest (for rewards) do it with the best squad you can field and expect a lot of 1 - 0 games. Play small ball, steal a lot, don't expect HRs. Also make sure your global settings are set to "casual" and "rookie". Those settings affect affect mini-seasons/vs. cpu and I think RTTS, but do not change Conquest games at all (which are set at "simulation").
Oh and, GO ANGELS!
-
However one thing I absolutely hate about RTTS this year is the strike zone...balls barely touching the frame of the zone called strikes (only in this mode) my strikeouts hitting have gone way up (probably more realistic?)

Hitting needs to be loosened up.
