@trfatboy22_PSN we are 2 weeks in the season and the rosters still haven’t been updated. Half the players don’t have played cards on default roster who have had cards in DD for years. Can we agree that the least they can do is apply player cards to all default roster players without cards, who have cards in DD? They aren’t doing their best they don’t pay attention to anything except for pulling more money out of you. Notice you only get like 10 VC per game now? Nolan Jones was traded in ST and is still on the Rockies. Rosters are more trash than Madden, why make excuses for mediocre improvement? It’s 2025, they are still barely tweaking the game year to year but the SDS brown nosers stay true.

Does anybody else feel like this this game did pretty much nothing to improve from the previous year. I put 684 hours into 2020 and currently sitting at 247 on 2021. And I'd say they didn't do as much as they said they would do. Franchise mode 0 changes, RTTS got even worse, MTO has potential but is still poorly designed. The statium creator is kind of awful, no advertisements on the walls or even distance markings. The homemade statiums always look trash. But nothing makes me more displeased then the play profile pictures or lack there of upon the trade of a player. To see half of your players with a real shot profile pic and half as close ups of their 3d animations is not clean at all. Sometimes the game accidentally keeps the profile pic for a game or two and it looks great. I mean is it really that hard for them to update the player profile pictures. I swear this feels like the same game.

@dart_wuffy_MLBTS well then maybe the game should have been half off then. Making excuses for a half assed job is what your doing.

Will the default rosters be updated or will we be looking at animated unrealistic photos all year? Can you please add all player cards that are already in DD to the rest of the game. Is that not reasonable?

Just sad smh. They must have like one person who works on this once a month if even. They do an awful job.

RTTS is the same except they added a 6 game pipeline then it’s the same sh!t, M2O absolutely untouched in fact the new trade logic makes the offseason unbearable when you grind out and make it to the World Series with an underdog, Franchise is almost identical and the offseason trade logic nonsense they were talking about just ensures that stars don’t end up on bad teams, DD is barely touched they added some weird board game style way to go through the stupid challenges they give you, ranked live rosters is incredibly pointless and unrewarding, they removed all media photos.

But don’t worry you now have a better chance at a hit if you correctly guess which side of the box the pitch will land and your more likely to rob your opponent of a home run with their updated fielding. Whoopty friggin do…

They want you to feel forced to play DD so you’ll spend money.

Fix the awful animated player profile pics that show up on the jumbotron and menu screens and just use the players actual photograph, regardless of the hat being different. It looks much cleaner then half animations and half real pictures. Send somebody to the Minors, they'll come back with an animated picture, it used to be you trade for somebody previously on the team in their career, the game would find the players profile from the database and display their old photo. They just removed all of this.

RTTS got significantly worse, they clearly abandoned this game mode. Their is so much cool stuff they can do too it's a shame. Madden 06 on the ps2 was a great example I wish sports games would follow. It starts out with randomized parents with back stories. It also included the ability to hire an agent, the more skilled agents will only represent established players. You could take a trip to the barber shop, the tattoo palor, and the practice field. Imagen they actually tried to implement these features in a sports game in 2021. Give me a reason to earn a contract in RTTS. Have my characters hair grow and need to be cut. Show physical gains after workout. Give my player the opportunity to act in a movie to earn popularity, also from madden 06 ps2. I want to have actual conversations with players on my team, another feature that was removed rather than developed. This RTTS is clearly unfinished, you can tell when training for drag bunting and other fielding traits.

I wonder how difficult it was to implement two way players. I mean in the show 20 you could make any player a two way player essentially. Just put Ohtani in the outfield from the starting pitching position. Thanks a lot for that fix SDS, smh.

MTO made some improvements but they don't update the rosters making the experience pretty dull at this point in the season. I find it really idiotic that I can't choose which prospects I want to develop. It isn't even based on team need its just random with players who are clearly not mlb ready. If they want to make players injured then make them injured and don't just put them in triple A, what kind of lazy garbage is that.

I really love this game and I'm tries of getting a heated up pile. I just want to see this game reach its full potential.

You should be able to choose an agent based on popularity. One that'll give you different boosts.

You should be able to play the career of any player in the game. I particularly would like to develop prospects with the goal being to make it to the Hall of Fame. But why not let you take control of any player in the game.

I can sit here and think of improvements all day. This game mode is so dull, developers only care about DD clearly.

@MAINELYBOSTON_PSN haha I AM A YANKEES FAN! And as a Yankees fan I would gladly work with a Red Sox fan to push for a completed game. Gameplay is tight they been had that down and I would say they improved it even more this year, just clean up the game and I’ll be satisfied.

People will try to troll you when they see your pissed, but stay true, same thing is going down with Madden but they have way more issues, at least the gameplay is good. But no matter how good the gameplay is, all of the game modes lack depth, especially RTTS and similar game modes are just so poor compared to like EA Sports in the PS2 Era.

I just posted a full list of players missing player cards who are on the default MLB rosters that have a card in DD. Unfortunately this doesn’t nearly cover all players I would like to have a card but it’s a start. Hopefully they start updating the default roster throughout the year instead of just forgetting about it.

@Shua2168_MLBTS just checked, even on DD Nolan Jones still on the Rockies. In 2K the trades are immediate. This game is a joke.

I am hoping this post will help reach developers to fix the default rosters. The DD rosters are complete with player cards for every player in the MLB. This is excellent and we wish to see the same in the default rosters.

The reason it is important the default rosters are updated is for March to October. Last season was spent grinding with underdog teams doing whatever I could do to fill the spots of players who did not have player cards.

These players without player cards really take away from the realism of the game, especially considering that media day photos from the Jumbotron, bullpen, menus, etc. has been entirely removed.

Following is the support message I placed, really hope they are able to clean this up.

I have provided a full list of all players who are missing a player card on an MLB team on the default roster. It is imperative this is corrected for MTO specifically. Please fix this for next roster update. This is a total of 68 players on the default roster that don’t have player cards. These player cards are in your system as I cross referenced with Diamond Dynasty.

Many of these players are important players, especially on the lower tier teams. Rokai Sasaki has a player card so why does Kim not also have a card as they both have no playing time. Ryan Walker is the Giants top rated reliever. Mitchell Parker is the Nats ace.

Ideally all players who may be involved in any way in MTO should have player cards. At the very least we would love to see all players on the default roster match their DD counterpart.

Please update default rosters to have all player cards on DD.

@Shua2168_MLBTS yeah they have all the cards in DD and not on the default roster which is shot. Looks awful and I ain’t playing DD. So if I am already forced to look at the player created without scan I at least want the card. But I feel you that’s what makes the game good.
