No Roster Update Today
-
@trfatboy22_PSN What time did you start your day drinking? Did you read anything anyone has said in this thread? No one asked for them to predict anything. Tell me why they’d need a “crystal ball” to put face scans of the guys listed above (stars who have been playing since at least last year) by the time the game is released? What’s “ridiculous” is a person who plays franchise spending $100 for the same roster that someone who waits a week and spends $70 will get. So go ahead, if I’m being “ridiculous” by wanting updated players from the previous year, why would I spend $100 when I could spend $70 a week later for the same product? Wow us with your wisdom.

@bleachfro_MLBTS buy the game whenever you want to buy it. But expecting perfect rosters at launch is yes ridiculous. And if you want face scans you need players to be 1) available and 2) willing. That's unrealistic at best. They do the best with what they have. And are kind enough to update the rosters throughout the year at all.
Back in the PS2 days you got the roster you got in march and you lived with it. People just complain to complain when we are getting a good game every year.
-
Times have evolved so why be content? I do not care so much about the face scans but not having correct contracts and updated recent trades and contact extensions is very very simple. Legit could be done in a few hours. Since end of spring training, maybe 3 trades have happened and maybe 8 extensions. That would take a coder 10 minutes to do LOL
-
@trfatboy22_PSN Again, no one said anything about “perfect” rosters. We’ve asked for updated players from the year before. Asking for that in a NEW game is in no way ridiculous. You can be fine with whatever product they put out there if you want. That’s fine. It’s also completely fine for people to expect updated players. Once again, if players aren’t updated from the previous year, why buy it early when it’s still the same game if I buy it later. That’s what I said in the post you called “ridiculous”. Now you’re saying it doesn’t matter when we buy it? What exactly is the ridiculous part?
As far as it being difficult to scan players—really? From two years ago? If that’s the case, which I’ve yet to see evidence of, then just communicate that. I know a lot of us would appreciate hearing about whose scans will be coming and who’s probably won’t due to whatever difficulties you think there are. That would be beyond good enough for me. The problem is there’s tons of players missing and no explanation as to why. And it’s perfectly reasonable for people to ask why. It’s ridiculous for you to hop in here and say people want perfection when we just want updates to a new game.
-
Lol, agree to disagree. Because it is absolutely ridiculous for you to expect a list of why every player doesn't want a face scan. Worry about things that actually matter and stop coming here to type BS for no reason.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN Bro you’re being a clown. Why you feel the need to keep making up things people are asking for is silly. Why even comment?
No one asked for them to predict rosters.
No one asked for a crystal ball.
No one asked for perfection.
No one asked for EVERY player to be scanned.
Stars. Important players who played last year. Big name prospects. That’s a handful of players. That’s all I’m expecting for scans for a NEW game. You act like that’s an overwhelming amount of players to address. Will Tyler Fitzgerald get a face scan? If so, when? Asking for communication on things like that is not too much to ask. He’s a starter.
This thread is for people who care about updates, not people like you who don’t. Agree to disagree is a good idea and should have been your first response

You just wanna whine. It's ok. maybe you'll get some validation in your life someday. Sorry that you are such a sad individual that you have to yell online about your baseball game not having the right faces
I hope you get a hug bro, seems like you need it.

@trfatboy22_PSN we are 2 weeks in the season and the rosters still haven’t been updated. Half the players don’t have played cards on default roster who have had cards in DD for years. Can we agree that the least they can do is apply player cards to all default roster players without cards, who have cards in DD? They aren’t doing their best they don’t pay attention to anything except for pulling more money out of you. Notice you only get like 10 VC per game now? Nolan Jones was traded in ST and is still on the Rockies. Rosters are more trash than Madden, why make excuses for mediocre improvement? It’s 2025, they are still barely tweaking the game year to year but the SDS brown nosers stay true.
-
@bleachfro_MLBTS this dude is so typical on here. I’m convinced they aren’t even real people.
-
@bleachfro_MLBTS he’s a DD fan boy he doesn’t care about realistic sims.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN Aww baby girl, you did your best defending today. Don’t feel bad. I can understand why you feel yelled at when people disagree with you. It’s ok if you’re fragile. A word of advice: if people start a thread to address issues they’d like to see addressed, and you disagree, feel free to ignore it if it’ll upset you. I promise you’ll be ok.
-
@NYC_SourDiesel_PSN Yeah I’ve seen him elsewhere lol
-
@NYC_SourDiesel_PSN That's how every single sports game is and will always be. There are not Revolutionary things you can do with a sports game because it will always be a sports game! At its core you play baseball that's what you do. They are putting out other fires that aren't rosters.
Just download one from the vault like every other normal person does. Back in the day there was no such thing as a roster update you just played the game. Did it suck when Albert Pujols wasn't in Triple Play 2001? sure did, but that doesn't make it a bad game.
Just crazy how people will scream on a forum and act like these people aren't working as hard as they can to give the majority of players what they want. And something as trivial as "Tyler Fitzgeralds face looks wrong" isn't at the top of the list!
-
@Shua2168_MLBTS If they hired me it would all be done before the game released. I would even travel and go get the face scans
ROFLLLLLLLL
Do you live in the real world? Oh, and please, far from me to stop you from complaining about the same things over and over (and over) again, but please use paragraphs and punctuation.
You can have valid complaints in your view, but the reasons for your gripes not being addressed can be as much if not more valid, but here you are, presuming. You know the saying about people that presume, right?
If you buy year after year bitching about the same stuff, then you’re a fool.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN I get your point but it’s 2025. With the technology, the cost of things, there definitely should be updates within the game sooner than May. If that’s the case then why even release until May/June so they can hit the ground running. The details absolutely matter to make it a great game. People want to see the right gloves, bats, stances, player emotion/bat-flips, even fascial hair. If they want to keep-up they have to stay ahead and major in the minors. Just my thoughts.
-
Trfatboy's logic is, "I don't care about this stuff, so it's dumb that you care about it."
It'd be a real shame if this was the typical mindset at SDS. At the end of the day, we all love baseball, and MLB The Show is the one MLB video game we have. SDS should strive to make it as enjoyable as possible for every baseball fan that plays it.
The fans that are already 100% satisfied with it, God bless them, I'm happy they enjoy Diamond Dynasty so much, but the typical offline player also matters and it doesn't take much to satisfy us too. It might not make money right away for the company, but in the bigger picture: the better the offline play is, the better the overall sales will become.
But even money aside, video game developers should have the same kind of pride in their games like chefs have in their food. We don't only pay money to play but we dedicate hours and hours of our lives to this product you put out... SDS should want it to be as perfect as they can possibly make it. And if we're asking for too much, the least they could do is be transparent about what they're capable of delivering instead of constantly leaving their paying customers in the dark.
-
@RedstickRebel_PSN Well put.
-
It's the same thing every year with sds. Always late with updating the rosters. It's the exact reason I'm really starting to wonder if I should just say no to buying this product anymore. I've been asking for years for a way to update the rosters after starting a franchise without having to do it yourself or restarting your whole season. With all the technology at their disposal there is no reason why this shouldn't be attainable. But like always I'm ignored bc they're the ones making the money so they honestly couldn't care any less. Smdh!!!

@dbub_PSN said in No Roster Update Today:
I've been saying on the DD boards that they released a game for full price that was about maybe 70% complete.
'25 has been an absolute embarrassment and SDS is running out of time to make things right with their customers.
If you consider the fact that Stadium Creator was not only devoid of anything new, not even a single new prop of any type, and not only devoid of any improvements in how it works and functions, the fact that SDS somehow still managed to torpedo how the vault works, where stadiums on the vault in MLB 23 are no longer present, and those from MLB 24 are rendered unobtainable or unusable due to a bug in the fan capacity and elevation figures, it means MLB 25 is less than 70% complete.
I mean, when a company devotes zero attention to something and yet still manages to totally bug it up, it really makes one scratch his head!
