    Conquest Map question
  • no-online-play-_PSNN no-online-play-_PSN

Ok, do I just finished the TA 1 East Map and in the process of playing that I am now 40pts and 50pts away from completing the AL East TA2 and 4 path.

No matter which one I do next, I'll probably complete both levels with the points I get for the map AND the plate appearances (unless I load up on players from other divisions).

Does anyone have a list of what packs are hidden in each of TA 2 and 4 maps? That way I can decide which one I want to concentrate in first.

Do these drop in price anymore than what they are at now? Specifically Tatis.

Pulled him from a TA pack.

I can sell him but I'll need to eventually but him back.

    Dies he drop below 20K?

    FS Nolan Gorman.

So, are these RIB card actually worth locking in?

Technically, if I do the Conquest enough, I can get doubles, even triples, of each player and just sell them off after locking in the first 11.

But is that throwing away close to 220K in stubs?

If you only just P2 a card why would you lock anything in????

It's not that I only go up to P2. It's just that he is one of the 3 RIB hitters I have in my lineup trying to finish out the RIB program.

The other two (Ruiz and Mattingly) are both P1s.

I'm at 65 points in the program and still have the Conquest (35) and Showdown to do (15).

Once I finish the Conquest map; unless I want to parallel any of the 11 cards, or if they're needed for an Event, they probably won't make my lineup.

While I may need them for Mo, Betts, Kershaw, and anyone else (if they do another collection) I'd rather lock in non-sellable cards first.

Do I need the stubs? Probably not. I have 250K now and nothing that I want to buy.

I may need the stubs later though, if I want to get 99 Ohtani, or any of the WS/BR rewards I don't get from playing.

I'm assuming that these RIB card will keep their value and stay around 22-25K each, so even if I don't lock the 'first' ones in; I won't have to pay extra.

I may just wait until I see how long it takes me to get the other ones (I bought these ones) just by aying and go from there.

You already know that godly Yordan Alvarez card is coming. Early in the game his 88 card was one of the best hitters in the game. Now this 99 will crush.

Hopefully he'll go good the first game or two, so SDS can jump the gun and boost his attributes like they did with Kike and Taylor; who's teams' ironically got eliminated after said boost.

That way the Braves will win the WS.

Some of the challenges have the sliders amped up but any of the Sale ones, including the last one, were not so bad for me as I seem to read his delivery pretty well.

I have no issues with Sale. I beat him both times you face him in the mini missions (get a hit) (score a run). It's the right handed pitchers that foil me. Mainly Treinen and Mills.

Out of 6 attempts, I love gotten past the first Treinen twice (where you have to score two runs before making 20 outs).

I have yet to score the two runs against Mills. The 4 total bases/runs vs either Giants pitchers. And I've had the tiring and winning run on 3rd/2nd, against Treinen, three times and all three times I can't get it out of the infield.

Heck, I had Berti on 3rd the one time with two outs left and he was the winning run and I tried a suicide squeeze and the batter popped it up in the air.

I've attempted the final Sale once. Down 6-15 and scored 8 runs before losing.

The other times I just quit because I wasn't attempting it with less than 6 runs on the board.

I get banned for this; so here goes:

There is no f'n way in hell that these Moments in the 8th Inning Showdown are on the difficulty listed.

NEVER once have I seen the CPU intentionally walk a batter, on Veteran difficulty, other than in these f'n Moments.

And don't get my started in my first three power hitting batters, who ALL have 100+ power and contacts vs righties, hit THREE straight grounders to first only to have the CPU come up in the bottom of the inning and hit a slider low and away for a moonshot.

  • The ONLY pointers you will need for the 8th Inning Showdown
  • no-online-play-_PSNN no-online-play-_PSN

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. Don't waste your time or the stubs. The 45K in XP isn't worth the frustration.

No matter which hitters you draft; they'll do one of the following:

Hit a line drive/ground ball to the infield

    Or

Hit a fly out to the outfield.

If, and that's a BIG if, you happen to get good contact and it looks like the ball land for a hit; an outfielder who has bronze or lower defense will make a super-human diving catch or scale the outfield wall like Spiderman to rob you if a homerun.

Then, if you have to pitch and not give up a run, one of the CPU team's first there batters will hit a ball, that is so far out if the strike zone that it's in a different time zone, for a home run.

Of course, it's my fault for thinking that this would be remotely possible.

But that's 3-4 combined hours of my time and about 2500-3000 stubs that were wasted.

I would've been better off mindlessly grinding the CPU for that amount of time and may have actually came away with more than 45K in XP and definitely some packs.

But the only thing keeping my interest in baseball, and this game, was watching the Red Sox. Now that they're eliminated (why in the HELL was Schwarber, and his .125 series average, playing in a Win or Go Home game?). I have no interest in baseball.

I won't quit completely. But I doubt I'll play alot.

Maybe just to get my Daily Moment Points and a few Conquest games: but not like how I've been playing recently.

    Anyone else?

Or just challenge yourself and play ranked seasons with an all time Red Sox squad and try to make World Series

I have a better chance of hitting a ground ball to second and not having the game freeze than making WS.

Don't get me wrong, once the content release dries up and I get caught up on all the offline content; I may jump into some ranked.

But that will depend on if I still want to play the game.

    Any reviews out there?
I play offline. He singled, first AB, but average-wise he's letting me down in the low 300's. I started him every game but 1 in the Bat Conquest. I'm wondering is he worth keeping as starter with all the options out there.

If you go by comparisons the way the devs do during streams, where they match up two players to see who has the better attributes, he ranks behind Sig Mattingly, Awards Oops, and I think Milestone Carter

I'm pretty sure the best first baseman out there, that isn't named Thomas or Ortiz, is Lou. If you have the stubs for him.

Now, I'd they decide to release a 99 Babe and put him at first ........

  • Remaining Strategy: Which are you Maximizing?
  • no-online-play-_PSNN no-online-play-_PSN

Probably in the minority about this, and while it's a little off subject, it does have to do with paralleling a card.

I wish they had different parallel levels for each card, like stats, base on if you play online/offline.

    Naturally, that wouldn't work.

Honestly, what will probably happen is that unless I hold off on the Conquest Maps, to do the TN Moments, I will probably make my decision once I get them all unlocked.

If they're still going for 10-15K each, I'll sell. If they all dropped to QS value (because more packs were released somehow) I'll collect them.

There are three Topps players that I remember from outside the MA programs and Topps moments

    1. Tim Anderson- Field of Dreams moments
    2. Jose Altuve- Events
    3. Yu Darvish- Events

There are Monthly Award flashbacks that appear in various programs such as the Matt Carpenter from Run it Back, some from RS etc.

It will make it virtually impossible to get Mookie, MO or Kershaw without enough of them since you can only skip one series collection.

I'm curious why you have no interest in the Monthly awards program. For an offline player, there is plenty to grind and there are a lot of great cards in there, same with Topps moments- such as
    Yasmani Grandal
    Tyler O'Neil
    Kyle Schwarber
    Robbie Ray
    Joey Votto
    Jazz Chisolm
    Joey Wentz
    Etc etc.

Unless you need to uncover a treasure chest of stubs, I'd try to knock out the MA programs. The first 30 points of each program can all be done simultaneously in one game. Imagine how many diamond cards, rewards, stubs and even XP you will receive.

Topps moments are needed to build a team for those initial 30 points.

I'm at 40-46 pts for each of the Monthly Programs. Already got the TN stats and the stats for the first few MA players. All I have left is the Moments and the rest of the MA player stats. Then to decide in whether or not I want lock in 400-500K I stubs for a few lightning players that won't make my team unless I decide to do an MA Squad.

Mo can be gas without locking in the TN players. But that's the ONLY voucher you can skip.

Not worried about Betts or Kershaw right now.

Unless they put Griffey behind another large Collection, I doubt I'll go after Kershaw and Mookie.

What messes me up is starting late. Anything that's available now is way better than what was released earlier; so there is really no incentive to lock in that many stubs.

Thus why I haven't even attempted any if the earlier Inning Player Programs, even though I have at least 10pts (from playing BR and Events) completed in all of them.

  • It's been 7 hours since the new showdown was released...
  • no-online-play-_PSNN no-online-play-_PSN

It's my own stupid fault for trying again.

Should've played Conquest. At least I'd have something to show for my time.

Made it to the final mission (Sale) down 15-8. Even though I hit him easily earlier in the run; I proceeded to ground 20 straight guys to the infielders.

Wasted an hour of my night.

  • Topps Now
  • no-online-play-_PSNN no-online-play-_PSN

This was asked the other day and was answered.

If you're starting late, and don't want the lightning players, is it worth locking in the TN cards at around a cost of 400-500K?

    The answers was not really.

What I'd like to know, is that if anyone can remember, did SDS throw these packs in any other content besides the TN Moments and MA programs? IE: Conquest maps, TA, etc?

I have no use for any of the Lightning players, so I am thinking if selling off my TN cards.

But if I do so, it may hinder getting Mo, Betta, and Kershaw.

So, if I sell them all, how positive is anyone that they won't show up in other content?

How did increasing the PCI range and sensitivity lead to so many off PCI hits? Not just hits either, I mean full on no doubt HRs. Did the interns develop this patch too?

This game is zero fun, zilch, nada. I lost to an 8 PCI Just Early Wade Boggs HR screenshot.

My next opponent I hit two off PCI no doubt HRs. It's just pitiful 💀

May I ask what pitching camera are you using in that photo?

    Strikezone 3

I see ALOT of people using it. Is it hard to get used to the 'reversed' strike zone?

I current use Pitcher Offset and it I want to throw a high inside FB, I know to throw in the upper right hand side. With SZ3, I would need to throw in the upper left.
