ON many teams, Captains are useless, sadly. The benefit of using one on my team is outweighed by the difference in the cards I could field...But primarily team captains are acquired by completing the LS collections and the TA programs

Yep. Pretty much why I never steal. The CPU always knows when you're going and every pitcher seems to have an Andy Pettite pick off move in this game.

Yes, since it makes a great business monitor. I can see so many columns and rows in Excel. It's how I sneaked this purchase past my wife... Shhhh...

As an independent contractor, yes. So actually, it SAVED me money, which is not only NMS, it's SME (smart money earned). Win/win!

My father-in-law introduced me to a great concept... the "incremental". When my wife and I were looking at our first house in 1998, there was one that was $200k and another one that was $225k. I said "$225 is just too much". He said, "it's not $225k. It's $25k".

I said... "huh"? He said "listen... you're going to spend $200k anyway. So if you buy the other house, you're really only spending $25k... the incremental".

Genius! I approach every purchase like that.

Exactly. Sometimes I say to myself that I’ll wait until the middle of it when it has died down and I might be able to win at a faster pace, but then that puts me in a time crunch - not a really good spot for me either way other than “git gud”.

Are any of you guys as geeky as I am and say to yourself, “ok, you need 30 wins and there are 7 days, that means I need 4-5 wins per night.”
Ding ding ding....exactly how I initially look at it....usually end up getting on a roll and way ahead though
