I know the Tech Test online servers are down obviously, but is custom practice still accessible? After last nights stream I kind of want to practice pinpoint pitching before the actual game comes out.

Is anyone going to complain (besides me) that it is entirely too easy to get a full diamond squad??? I remember when a 90 was actually a really good card. Now if you don’t have a team of 93+ you are trash. Not only that but I believe in ‘20 it took about a week to get a full diamond squad. It’s garbage. Look at the market, it makes the market garbage too.
So you want The Show to basically become like Madden where the only way to have a good team is through microtransactions? Being able to put together a team capable of competing online without spending a single cent of real money is what makes The Show great and puts it above and beyond the video games of the 3 other major sports, at least in my opinion.

I put him at his primary position of SS and have had little to no issues with his defense. Maybe I'm just lucky I guess.
Sorry but you need arm strength at SS especially for the long throws. Seager is not suited to play SS.
Yeah after reading through this thread I'll probably move Seager to 2B and put Tatis at his primary position. That is if I play another ranked game before 21 comes out. After having back to back games of perfect/perfect lineouts caught right at the wall in dead center I'm a little hesitant to come back.

Thank god we are a little over a month away from 21... Just had back to back ranked games ( one of which if I won I would have made it to Division Series for just the 2nd time ever... ) where I hit perfect/perfect lineouts that were caught right at the wall in dead center. The first one would have given me the lead in the 9th and the second one would have extended my lead to 5-1. Of course in the second game my opponent ended up hitting 2 homers in the next half inning to take the lead. I've definitely improved as a hitter over the years and it's frustrating when my practice isn't rewarded...
Absolutely no context given in this rant. Who was the hitter? Where was the defense positioned? What kind of pitch was thrown? Location of pitch?
All that the fact that not everything hit hard is guaranteed to be a hit, much less a homerun.
If I remember correctly it was 99 Seager the first time and 99 Cobb the 2nd time. The defense was not shifted at all and both pitches were right down the middle. Perfect/perfect lineouts caught right at the wall in dead center. I understand lineouts are part of baseball, but in a video game user input should reign supreme over realism. Especially online

Another thread complaining about the game not rewarding “good contact” Well that means you need to have more consistent “good contact”. Irl do you know what they call a hitter who gets occasional good contact? Normal!!! And those who get consistent good contact? Mike Trout, Juan Soto, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. In other words elite players. My guess is the OP is not an elite gamer. If you want to see better results become more disciplined at the plate and learn how to read pitches so you can make consistent good contact and you’ll see you’re results improve dramatically.
I understand lineouts are part of the game but back to back games with the same exact result is a little frustrating, especially when my opponents line drives are getting rewarded. And I have improved as a hitter like I said in the OP. I've watched the hitting tips videos posted by the top players and tried to implement those methods into my strategy at the plate and have improved dramatically.

It doesn't matter if you get perfect/perfect on every single swing if you forget rule #2 of baseball.

PS: Rule #1 was the one Pete Rose broke which is why he can DIAF and go to Cooperstown exactly never.
Well I did and the game decided to screw me over

I only ask for a friendly quit if me and my opponent have the same pitcher on the mound or if a game goes to extra innings and I have something to do. Getting rid of the friendly quit would punish the people who actually have a legit reason for it.
-
I mean 20 is the only version of the game made during a pandemic, so it's honestly unfair to compare it to any past version in my opinion.
-
That complaining about hitting being "too easy" is what caused the developers to break hitting in the first place. Hitting is completely fine, unless you enjoy 1-0 or 2-1 snoozefest games with a bunch of good/okay flyouts there should be nothing to complain about.
-
I'm pretty sure there is a setting to set diving and jumping to manual, it's not a bug.
-
Is there a 2004 historic roster out there with accurate stats? I don't feel like hitting a home run with Manny Ramirez and having the game tell me it's his first major league homer or getting a strikeout with Pedro Martinez and having the game tell me it's his first major league strikeout.
-
Division realignment. If I want to do a Franchise mode using the 2004 rosters I should be able to put the Astros in the National League.
-
Blame all the people who complained about the amount of 99 overalls last year. This is a direct result of that.
-
Since when is getting rid of an exploit that was ruining the way the game was meant to be played a bad thing? I swear this community complains about everything lmao
-
Why are we complaining about them getting rid of something that wasn't supposed to be in the game in the first place? The HRD XP exploit and the MTO "double points" were obviously bugs and not intentional, so they got rid of it. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
-
People need to realize that just because you still run into issues doesn't mean the patch didn't fix anything. Glitches will still happen because it's a video game and it can't be 100% perfect.
-
Isn't DD an unrealistic mode to begin with? When you have players like Mickey Mantle on the same field as current day players, all realism goes out the window IMO. So what's the point of complaining about "unrealistic" cards? Obviously you're all entitled to your own opinion, but that's just my two cents.
-
20 is easily an upgrade over 19. Once the devs fix the fielding this won't even be a debate. With what's currently going on in the world, I would cut SDS some slack when it comes to pumping out updates.
