I struck out somebody 16 times earlier today and almost lost the game in the last 3 innings... somehow he managed to come back and make it a 1 run game... Do I have to mention the difficulty was AS?

Of course it was lol. That’s allstar for you. I was just beating a guy 8-4 and just started lining out for the rest of the game and he kept getting the weirdest things to help him. I put good contact on the ball after that probably about 10 times with nothing and he would get on base with the worst contact. It’s like the game has a computer assist.

Thank god we are a little over a month away from 21... Just had back to back ranked games ( one of which if I won I would have made it to Division Series for just the 2nd time ever... ) where I hit perfect/perfect lineouts that were caught right at the wall in dead center. The first one would have given me the lead in the 9th and the second one would have extended my lead to 5-1. Of course in the second game my opponent ended up hitting 2 homers in the next half inning to take the lead. I've definitely improved as a hitter over the years and it's frustrating when my practice isn't rewarded...

Absolutely no context given in this rant. Who was the hitter? Where was the defense positioned? What kind of pitch was thrown? Location of pitch?

All that the fact that not everything hit hard is guaranteed to be a hit, much less a homerun.

These threads are great and always go the same. Someone complains them someone responds and calls them bad qt the game. Back and forth continues with you're bad being the main point. Usually insults start, a few posts are deleted and then people go their own way after a last parting shot. I hope thwy never end, lol. These are too much fun

These threads always boil down to:

This game is rigged because I'm awesome but I still lost a game. This crappy player beat me in this one game where I hit like a bazillion perfect perfect lineouts. Anytime a player of my awesome prowess picks up a controller, the W should just automatically go to me. If I lose or don't get a hit, it couldn't possibly be because that's how sports and baseball work. No, it's because of muh RNG and SDS rigging it for these loser opponents that shouldn't even be on the same field as me.

I answers get a kick out of the people that make these threads about getting screwed out of perfect perfect contact, yet their lineup is full of guys hitting 330+ with 1000 ops, that and they win like over 80% of their games.

Another thread complaining about the game not rewarding “good contact” Well that means you need to have more consistent “good contact”. Irl do you know what they call a hitter who gets occasional good contact? Normal!!! And those who get consistent good contact? Mike Trout, Juan Soto, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. In other words elite players. My guess is the OP is not an elite gamer. If you want to see better results become more disciplined at the plate and learn how to read pitches so you can make consistent good contact and you’ll see you’re results improve dramatically.

Ive made consistent good contact and lined out for an entire game and lost to an opponent that struck out 23 times. Just stop. The games bad. The beta if they keep it how it is will be a true test of real skill.

In fact I’ve lost to several opponents that the ONLY way they got a hit is because they were swinging at everything and the game forced a perfect meter directly down the middle. Mind you this is after 15 line outs to the defense on my end tracking the ball to all parts of the zone. High and tight, low and away. Working counts etc. mlb 20 is not a skill based game. It just isn’t.

    But “that’s baseball” bro!!!
    😱

Hitting 330+ with 1000 ops is not enough son. I want the whole thing.

If I remember correctly it was 99 Seager the first time and 99 Cobb the 2nd time. The defense was not shifted at all and both pitches were right down the middle. Perfect/perfect lineouts caught right at the wall in dead center. I understand lineouts are part of baseball, but in a video game user input should reign supreme over realism. Especially online
