This^. Squaring up on balls and they die at or right before the track. Power is non-existent at all, even with Perfect/Perfects. Noticed this on Ps5 and switch both.
Edit: in online games AND in custom practice as well.

Hey, super excited about the Switch version as I used to play on PSP all the time (I also have a PS5). Just tried to play a game in switch and noticed a few things:
1.) Meter pitching is not consistently working at all. I tried docked and handheld, as well as joycons and pro controller.
2.) The frame rate is rough. Hoping it is fixed by release. The FPS is better on docked mode, with some general lag here and there but handheld is pretty rough. The pixelation is what it is, it’s a switch… but the FPS and lag makes playing a timing game awful.
Edit:
TLDR; Meter appears to have a button bug, I saw someone else on this thread mention it too.
If the game on release doesn’t lag and the FPS stays steady I will certainly be playing this for progression or when traveling. I really only noticed input lag on meter, animations will randomly lag, and if there is a way to “smooth” out edges that would be awesome.
This port has lots of potential for sure.
Yes! Half the time the game doesn’t even show me my player in the outfield until the ball is halfway down.
Besides the freezing in the menu, in game, and people constantly leaving, I have really enjoyed the mode so far. It is a nice change of pace to just play, meet new people, and chat baseball or life. I know it will be a lot more polished and will hopefully connect better at launch, but I think this mode has great potential. I’m going to try to play with my buddy tomorrow; looking forward to rewards eventually being added already!
As the title says, myself as well as most people would happily look past the jagged and pixelated graphics if the game held a decent and steady frame rate. If the game runs smooth at launch, I will definitely cross buy. A locked 30 FPS would be a great start. Unfortunately, the switch version of the game really cannot handle the current engine. I would be cool with older assets/less realism as well to make it run better. I don’t care if it looks like a PS Vita game if it will run without lag/stuttering. I was super excited for this game on the go and haven’t given up hope yet, but so far I am a little disappointed (I was expecting some of this btw). If things hold up, I’ll probably hold off until there is a sale to buy on switch and just only play on ps5. I miss when Sony had the PSP and Vita… the game played so great on them. The last version on Vita (14) played smoother and while the textures weren’t as high, looked fine.
If we could get a steady frame rate and less lag, it will be just fine. If it looks like a PS3 game oh well, I just want to be able to play on the go. The input lag right now and jittering can make it tough.
Whatever is different about this mode needs to somehow be implemented in Diamond dynasty and online play. The game looks a tad better to me as well as it plays so much smoother and holds frames. I am starting to wonder if it is because there is no crowd (as well as no connectivity obviously). If we had the option to disable crowd or make it static and lower shadows/textures, I think everything would work better online like it does in practice. Heck, if conquest/moments/March to Oct/RTTS play like this and Play vs. CPU gets ironed out to it, then this port will actually be really good. Hitting and pitching feel so different in this compared to every other mode available.
