New uniforms added in patch and this wasn’t one of them.

I don’t share the same confidence as you guys. They rarely add uniforms to the game in patches.

This is such a bad look for Sony. The developers should be embarrassed.

Why on earth would they remove the road blue alternates from the game just to add the new black alternates? The road blues are still going to be prominent uniform in 2022.

Such a bad look for the company.

Universal DH has always been in the game for like 10 years for Franchise and Play Now. All you have to do is turn the DH setting to 'ALL'.

Right can play friend and select on as well for years

Only online. You can’t play a friend and turn the DH on in play now mode.

It’s been in the game for franchise for years but you’re incorrect about it being in the game for Play Now mode. They have never had the option to turn the DH on or off in play now mode.

For those that were wondering he said the Universal DH made it into the game.

Hahaha, yeah...I hope it is for sure. I know very little about coding and patching and Any other dev term, but it feels like they'll just say, too late...already done. Butttttt, if there is a DH l be stoked to say I'm wrong.

That would be the laziest and most embarrassing excuse ever. They could easily just make it an option you turn on/off. That’s why I won’t waste my money on the game without it.

It better be in the game now that it’s official. I don’t want to hear excuses from the devs. Don’t be lazy please.

I'm kinda on the opposite end of that. Gonna make my bench players and bullpen mean so much less than before. But SDS won't know about DH or not until MLB and MLBPA come to an agreement and put it on paper and sign it.

There are no verbal confirmations lol. Has to be agreed, written, and signed. Right now its all just talk. It will be there when they are finished negotiating, but that hasnt happened yet. Just because you are on a plane to Fiji, doesnt mean you are in Fiji.

The game that Sony is putting out this year is supposed to represent the MLB product in 2022. It needs to at least have the option for the DH. They can’t just ignore that addition until next years game.

All they gotta do is give us custom rosters in online leagues and I’d be thrilled.

Manfred only announced the universal DH on February 10th, and the tech test become available to download on the 15th. That build was finished and ready to go probably about a week before it became available, and considering it was only a one week tech test they weren’t going to go back in and rewrite code for it. The extra inning rule being removed was announced back in July along with double headers returning to 9 inning games, so it makes sense that they already removed it. I wouldn’t read too much into what you saw in the tech test. This game is produced along with MLB Advanced Media. They’re not going to let the game have the wrong rules. Worse comes to worst, if the lockout is still going when the game releases, MAYBE the DH rule isn’t there but they’ll fix it with a patch once the CBA is done and the rule change becomes official. Things will probably be resolved before that happens.

I pray you’re right. As long as they patch it into the game I’ll be buying it.

Yes in the tech test it was.

This concerns me because if they removed that and didn’t add the DH will they really do that in the final version. I have serious doubts.
