I'm glad you found something that works for you but I'm not paying for a game where I have to do a complicated dance around the software just to get it to work like it's supposed to.
And I can't play a game that requires an online connection just to play, anyway. I live way out in the boonies and I'm on a DSL line. It took 26 hours to download MLB 20. Seriously. My connection drops all the time.
I'll sit this one out.

Absolutely spot on. I agree 100%.
I usually pre-order but I haven't bought 2021 yet because I was waiting to get a PS5. Turns out that was a good thing.
I'll just keep playing 2020 until it quits, I guess.
How sad. -

I'm glad I didn't buy The Show 21 because I live way out in the boonies and my internet is so bad I'd never get to play anything. And RTTS was the only mode I ever played.
Guess I'll stay with '20. -

Well, looks like I wont be playing MLB The Show2021.
First off, where I live you can't get a PS5. And I won't pay scalpers prices. And I won't pay $99 to get the PS4 and 5 versions because....well, that's just a rip-off.
Secondly, from what I've seen this morning the launch of MLB 2021 has been a disaster, and I've had enough of that in my life lately. And apparently the devs have eliminated a lot of stuff that I liked about the game.
Gran Turismo, here I come.....
Sorry SDS, you screwed the pooch on this one. -

I'm staying with 20. Better gameplay (at least right now), more realistic, more customizable, more immersive....more fun.

Screwed the pooch? This game is great this year... Unless you're RTTS only
Well, yes, RTTS is the only mode I play. I'm out in the boonies and my internet connection is very slow so online playing doesn't work for me, and I'm not at all interested in DD anyway.
And from what I've read they've basically taken everything out of RTTS that made it enjoyable (at least for me).
If you enjoy the game, that's great.
I'm just saying for me, this year, I'll be saving money on my gaming. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to a new version of a game I've enjoyed since 2011 on a next gen console but I expect I'll get over it.
MY workaround for RTTS
Dear SDS
Reinstalling MLBTS 2019...
Not this year
If you had to choose right now RTTS 2020 or RTTS 2021?
