Did you see the post in the Improvements for ’26 conversation? Someone suggested allowing any player who ever played for a team be boosted by a team’s captain. So Rockies Arenado and A’s McGwire could be boosted by Cardinals captains. Interested in your thoughts. PXP would go to the team associated with the card, though, I guess.

I think I like this. So for example, the HOF Vlad Sr card could be boosted by not just the Angels captains, but also the Nationals, Rangers, and Orioles captains. Is that what you are thinking? This is especially helpful when a player gets a card early in the power creep with lower OVR on one team and then gets a 99 on another team later. Some theme teams may be so unbalanced with options at positions and available cards. My Angels theme team has no Lefty bats now that the new Taylor Ward replaced Rod Carew (Ward in LF, Baylor to 1B). Would be nice to put an Ohtani in there somewhere! It could fill a lot of holes in a lot of people’s theme teams.

Thanks for that list. The Awards ROY I hadn’t seen because I started playing in ‘22. Just didn’t have an Angel version of him in ’25 for my theme team!

I know my team (Angels) doesn’t deserve too many 99s historically or lately, but I’d like to see a 99 OVR Awards 2018 ROY Ohtani. Started playing in ’22. Did they ever have that card? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it since I started playing.

Yes. You might see two of the same team, but it counts for the one you need if it was taken over

On the app it says you need 150 to complete it, but it’s really only 65. When the WS program came out today, I looked at the program on the app before going on the console and it was impossible to complete! That must be the reason for an incomplete percentage that you see. It must be based on the 150.

I think he’s saying you still have to do all the goals but not necessarily in order. If you do all the other goals the way he described, you can work on the hard first goal later. It will still count toward the 30 extreme program points even if you complete some goals between restarts. I’ve been meaning to brainstorm something like this. Thanks, mubby_33! I’ll be trying your strategy at some point!

The game has been out for seven months and is nearly dead. I haven’t done the calculations, but others who agree with me about this on other threads have said that the PXP needed to do 20 repeatable 40k missions is greater than what they’ve done so far in all of ’25 and since Self ball punching is not an option for me, I’ll pass on the extreme program until other options are there. Still gaining towards the repeatable in the mean time with regular play, though.

The point is that players should be able to choose the “talented” or “persistent” route. Talented players will have it done already or in a much shorter amount of time. persistent players (i.e. less talented players like me) will take a lot longer. Some players are in-between. I think I did the extreme mini season championship on veteran or all-star at least three times in ’24 to complete the extreme program last year. And they also had lengthy missions with cards in the program. and I persisted at some of the doable moments. in ‘22 and ‘23 I did the conquest after many tries and I was proud of myself because I put myself out there to win HOF games. In ‘24 and ‘25 I skipped the conquest (last year because there were preferable options and this year because I’m giving up until they offer more progress options). Better players will not need to do the lengthy options because they can do the more difficult showdown and moments and conquest much faster than I did the mini seasons. How much and what manner of lengthy, easier progress is offered can certainly be debated, but it should not be made as impossible as it is right now. I shouldn’t have to need to play past the launch of ‘26 to finish the program, Which is basically what I would have to do the way the progress is offered now.

Not much time left for event at this point. I did that for awhile but playing at speeds I’m not used to playing is like (as someone else at my skill level said in another thread) “punching yourself in the balls.”

And I might be able to do a handful of HOF games in one turn on a conquest, but not the 10 they are requiring.

With all the double PXP they offer this year, 40k is understandable. I just can’t believe that there are so few ways to earn program progress. No Mini?! No missions with extreme program cards?!

Don’t they usually have missions with cards from the extreme program? I remember having to parallel Kerry wood up to five one year and getting 100 base hits with some batter another year. Can’t they put something big like a few hundred TB with Buxton or Ks with Clemens? Or something repeatable other than 40k PXP? Otherwise I’ll finish just in time for the show ’26 (or never)

I wonder if the same ones taking the owners side are the same ones who always defend SDS devs.

Anyone else notice the mix up with Devin Williams and dontrelle Willis? The image for the Willis cornerstone pre-card (rookie) is shown for a Williams card (also rookie) available on the market. Williams is 94 (I think) and Willis is 85 (I think). am I seeing this right? And which one is part of the rookie collection?

Same thing happened on the final stadium of a diamond quest for me last week. Lost all my treasure. happened on other occasions as well.
