Actually, it's more like P.T. Barnum's "A sucker is born every minute". I think SDS is testing the waters to see if we're silly enough to buy the Red one. I'm guessing "yes".

There are 260 orders in at 999 and 1 at 1,000. Put your order in at 1,000 and you'll have him in an hour or two.

I'm usually not one to complain about online play... but man... this event for me is rough. I've got my 5 wins (two guys quit after my first hit), but everything feels... sluggish? I can't hit well, and my opponents are struggling. I entered a gave with a guy who had a WS logo, and usually I quit. I decided to play and beat him 1-0 in extras. Everything we hit was weak fly balls or weak grounders.

As usual, it's probably a "me" thing. But maybe not.

Contributor - Babe. Missed out on this one months ago and I'm kicking myself.

Postseason - Berkman
Prime - Simmons
Signature - Leiter

In summary - all the expensive ones. I do have some duplicates of cards that I'm hoping will take a jump in price that will help pay for a few of these. Just like all the other collections, I won't have it day one, which is fine.

I haven't. I now own 2 at an average cost of 85k (I doubled down and bought another one). I see he's at 98k right now. I'll hang on and see what happens Sunday. I put in a "Sell" order for one card at 500k. A boy can dream...

Regarding "upvotes" again... are these on a "rolling" 24-hour basis? I ran out of upvotes yesterday. I upvoted about 3-4 posts in this thread, and I'm out of upvotes again. Weird.

When my stepson was 5, he was testing boundaries. I sent him to his room for talking back to his mother, and he looked me dead in the eye and said "you're not the boss of me". I laughed and said "I kind of am the boss of you". He cried and reluctantly went to his room.

He got married last year and had me officiate. We've come a long way

Second, regarding the exploiters. Yes! SDS issued a very sternly worded letter.

I'm just checking the app right now, and AS Ohtani has 231 "Buy Price" orders at 85,991. The "Sell Price" is 85,333.

Love that! When I got married, my two stepkids called me by my first name (they were 2 and 5 at the time). Now they're in their 30's and they call me "Dad". Or sometimes "Hey you!"

True. At least if I saw he had a new username while playing, and had to buy all of his cards again, I'd feel better. But I don't think that happened (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I think @dolenz_psn 's name is a callback to Micky Dolenz from the Monkees (for those of you under the age of 40, they were a "TV" band in the late 60's). Mine? Simple. Again, for those of you under 40 (50?), Mario Mendoza was one of the worst hitting players of all time. Chris Berman popularized the phrase on Sports Center, and it referred to a player hitting under .200. When I'm playing online, I want to lull my opponent into thinking "oh, this guy must be hitting under .200." Joke's on them. I'm well into the .200's.

For the first time since I started playing MLBTS (2007 I think), I'm considering not playing next year. I see all the posts out here every year about "I'm not buying next year, blah, blah, blah", and I think "I'll never get to that point".

I'm getting close.

With the "glitch", then the response by SDS that they were taking action, then the apparent "non-action", coupled with the myriad of problems (market bots, various other glitches in the game that continue from year to year, more monetization, etc.), I might be done for a cycle.

"Might". If you see me here on the forums in 2027, remember I said "might".

But I am thinking about it, which I've never done before.
