Great. Now when I pull him on opening night and quick sell him by mistake due to my excitement, I'll get 1,500 stubs less than usual.

upgrades and downgrades are kind of weird.
Got it! Thanks for this. Still wish there was a record to indicate that there was a change in "overall". In 2026, I'll just download the full "Items - MLB Cards" every day

The only one I did not have is Ian Seymour who I show at +14
Here is his roster update page.
https://mlb25.theshow.com/roster_updates/search?q=Ian+Seymour
Thank you for this. If you look at his last two updates (October 3 and 10), they look duplicated. Both start at 77 and end at 75 (each has a minus 2).
And... if you look at May 2, he ends as a 62. If you look at his next change on June 27, he magically starts as a 56. There's no "minus 6" anywhere in the database as far as I can see.
I think that's where my math falls apart in my download from the API.

@dolenz_psn - so, I'm looking at the "Roster Update" file. @savefarris_psn shows Fedde as going down by 14, which is correct (started as a 77, ended as a 63.
When I look at the total of the net changes, there's one change that was made when he switched from the Braves to the Brewers. He was at a 69, but when he moved over to the Brewers, he started as a 63. There's no record of a "minus 6" anywhere. So when I add up all the overall ranking changes, I get minus 8. Add that to the missing minus 6 and you get the overall minus 14 that @savefarris_psn has.
Weird. Maybe I'm looking at this wrong...

Yes on Kurtz. Aroldis Chapman? Jumped 14 from 78 to 92.

My Program Came up with 13 players whose overall jumped at least 20 points.
I have 14...
A.J. Blubaugh
Justin Sterner
Nick Kurtz
Trey Yesavage
Caleb Durbin
Chad Patrick
Matt Svanson
Brad Keller
Justin Wrobleski
Trevor Rogers
Ian Seymour
Ryan Bergert
Shane Smith
Cam Schlittler
My sheet shows from their lowest point to their highest - not sure if that makes a difference.
Also, I'm noticing an error in my logic... let me see if I can fix this.

With apologies to @dolenz_psn , who is the reporting king...
Since I'm pretty much done with 2025 DD (except for the occasional USA CQ map game with my new Pirates LS lineup), I'm back into looking at some of the APIs. I started digging into the Roster updates. I wanted to know who had the biggest jump in their overall rating, from their lowest point to their highest point.
From what I see, there were 10 players that had a jump of 20 points or more during the season. Who can you name? A couple of these were easy for me to guess. The others? Not even close.
Anyone want to guess a few?

I'm waiting for someone to say they're played Strat-O-Matic!
I started playing with my grandfather back in the 70's. He had a 1968 version of the game, and I was introduced to some great player cards. I played a lot in the late 70's early 80's with my Pirates (who were actually great).
When I tore my Achilles last spring, I actually ordered the 2018 card version and played with the Red Sox. It's a great game.

@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS said in No wonder this game can't move forward:
I’m a million years old. I grew up playing Ken Griffey Jr’s Winning Run on SNES.
Given that you're in your early 40's, I'm 1,000,020.
I played SNK Baseball Stars for years on the NES (not even "Super"). I loved that game, and must have played it for thousands of hours. Diving, climbing (and sometimes falling over) the fence to rob home runs. Editing rosters. Playing with women softball players who actually pitched underhand. Stat-keeping. Secret menus. I mean... it had it all. I managed to find an NES emulator back in 2015, and found a USB NES controller on Amazon. Fired it up and... AWESOME.
My belabored point... even as much as I loved that game, MLBTS is pretty amazing. I do wish SDS would upgrade the graphics to "next gen" to see what the new hardware is really capable of. In the meantime, I'm still pretty happy with what we have. Like you said, as long as they keep making incremental improvements, I'm OK with that. I like playing DD of course, but also delve into the market economics, download data using the APIs for analysis, and run over to RTTS with my fleet-footed 245lb shortstop "Bubba Blue" from Louisiana. It entertains me for 9 months a year. So yeah... worth my $99 (but I got the 10% discount, so even better).
My wife just reminded me that we have a concert to go to down in Miami on the 14th. Which means we'll be driving down on Thursday night. I'm going to hide my Xbox in my luggage... my son has a monitor in his apartment... so... I'm still good to go for opening night.
Finally... talking about Baseball Stars... I now have all these songs stuck in my head. SDS, if you can find a way to add these to the soundtrack this year, I'll pay extra:
In the vein of the thread @ericulous1_xbl started...
Skubal won his arbitration at $32m. The Tigers also signed Framber. With one year of service left for a now very expensive Skubal, do you trade him now for a cache of rewards, or ride him out for 2026?

RED DIAMONDS ARE BACK!
Were those only in 2020? That was my first year of DD. You had to earn those by online play, right? I think there were a few available in the XP path.
It also says "an upgraded PXP system". Maybe they change P1 through P5 to Hearts, Clovers, Horseshoes, Rainbows and Diamonds... Sponsored by Lucky Charms. How great would that be?
