I win about half the games I play. Even if you're losing, you can still make progress in the multiplayer program. You need to get hits, runs, strikeouts, etc. There are a bunch of missions listed. Even if you lose, you can still accumulate progress and get rewards.

Sorry about your hand. I'm 61 and my reflexes are slowing down, but I still enjoy online play.

Yes - I thought it was broken when I got in, but it's working as designed. Since it's so short, a lot of folks have been grinding this program over and over.

I just got 12 of my 26 this morning, 3/18. First one I opened had an LS Caminero. I know Ohtani is in the 14 remaining.

I think there were a lot of complaints about stub making early in the 25 cycle as well. I can't remember what "nerfed" it, but margins were really low from what I remember.
