That's not a joke.

A Cubs fan, a Cardinals fan, a Red Sox fan, and a Yankees fan are climbing up a mountain, arguing about who has the most loyal fans.

When they get to the summit, the Cubs fan decides he’s going to end the argument once and for all. He yells “This is for the Cubbies!” and throws himself off the side of the mountain.

Not to be outdone, the Cardinals fan says “This is for the Cardinals!” and he throws himself off the mountain too.

The Red Sox fan thinks for a moment, yells “This is for EVERYBODY!” and pushes the Yankees fan off the mountain.

P.S. We need more Yankee cards.

I just finished a DQ map. I only played the first stadium, picked up Vlad Jr. and then decided to take my winnings and quit.

Went to my "Packs" page, and opened my 12 Bronze packs. I did pick up one gold (CJ Abrams) and thought, well... not a total loss. Then I went to the Silvers. Thought to myself "why is SDS still giving us Bronze and Silver packs. This is a waste of my time." On one silver pack, I saw that is was a diamond. I just auto-flipped it and there was LS Judge staring me in the face.

So... I take it all back. Silver and Bronze packs are just fine.

This is nice! I was looking to see if there was any information on the "Outfield Assist" program and saw this.

Now that MLB had announced their MVP and Cy Young awards, it's time for the Forum MVP for 2025. Personally, I think it has to be @Dolenz_PSN

He's posted a ton of great stuff out here this year. He's always one of the first to post new card drops, programs, etc. And... did you get a chance to see his MLBTS "app"? It's a really cool reporting tool, and he's dropped a bunch of interesting player attributes into various posts.

Anyway... that's my vote. He's the "Ohtani" of the forum this year, and I just wanted to call him out for that.

Honorable mention - @SaveFarris_PSN - he makes this list every year as the "Showstorian", keeping us in line with all the historical data in DD.

Honorable mention #2 - @SDS_JoeK_PSN - I want to recognize JoeK. I started participating in the DD forums in 2020. SDS usually had some folks participating in the Forums, but I don't think we've had much engagement in the past couple of years. JoeK has been popping into various threads, and it's nice to have some SDS representation. It's a thankless job scrolling through thousands of posts (many of them negative), but I, for one, appreciate it.

Anyone else we should be mentioning here? I enjoy a lot of posts out here from you guys, but who do you like? I mean... the GOAT for me is still @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS ...

I'm almost to 700k. I think I play more than the average player, but my son had the nerve to get married on Double XP weekend.

It is really disappointing this year. The forums have devolved into a pit of despair. I'm enjoying gameplay (in general), but disappointed in lack of "content". The SDS forum moderators are gone. I remember when I first started posting here in 2020, people were really helpful and there were a lot of "fun" threads. Now, most threads just sink into yelling matches. Sad. I don't know where SDS's head is at.

Everyone get out there and start grinding. If 1,000,000 of us grind the whole map once a day, that's 5,000,000 packs. If there's a 1 in 10,000 chance of pulling Ohtani, that's 500 Ohtanis that get added to the pool every day. The price would have to come down somewhat, right?

Of course, all of those assumptions could be completely inaccurate, but I don't care. GET OUT THERE AND GRIND.

I did my part tonight. I got my 5 packs. Picked up a LS Bregman, so not a total loss I guess.

It was a very lonely weekend without my BFFs. I actually had to go out and talk to other people.

I can't wait to pick him up in January 2026. Patience is the key...

I think the Dodgers LS collection on day 1 will exceed the 5 million stub limit.

Their collection reward should be new legend Sandy Koufax (99 of course).

So, in order to cheer myself up from all the depressing posts out here, how about this? Why did you create the Username you did?

I think @dolenz_psn 's name is a callback to Micky Dolenz from the Monkees (for those of you under the age of 40, they were a "TV" band in the late 60's). Mine? Simple. Again, for those of you under 40 (50?), Mario Mendoza was one of the worst hitting players of all time. Chris Berman popularized the phrase on Sports Center, and it referred to a player hitting under .200. When I'm playing online, I want to lull my opponent into thinking "oh, this guy must be hitting under .200." Joke's on them. I'm well into the .200's.

@jaychvz_XBL I'm an old fart (turned 60 this year). I'm ok at the game. I usually play RS in the 600's. Not great, but not horrible. For BR, I'll win 5-6 games in an entry (or sometimes... None... Lol). I play all my offline on All-Star.

I'm definitely not the player I was in my 20's. I would love to take my 20-year-old self and see if I could make World Series. Probably not... But I'm so curious.

I literally said the exact same thing to my wife last weekend (this is @arvcpa by the way). I've played a little RS, I'm about 1/3 of the way through BR, 1/4 of the way through the USA map, and 1/4 of the way through the "main" Mini-Season. I did the Jeter program.

And... I'm not feeling it either. I don't rush to play the game as I used to do in prior years. For me, it's probably playing a ton in the past 4 years. That's OK. I'll just slow-roll it and see how the year plays out. Maybe there will be a new program I'm interested in.

I'm trying to be realistic since the regular season gets in gear this week. Maybe I'll get more excited.

Also... call me when they develop a true Next-Gen version... I'll be collecting Social Security by then.

L: Mini season stats. It can't be that hard to reset and calculate each season's stats correctly. I mean... You have to get stats right. This is baseball after all.
