Yet Another Game “Update” That Doesn’t Address Actual Issues

@MarioMendoza935 lol fitting gif.

@AdeptOfMemory nd as I've stated, until they go full next gen it wont happen, they are using a 10 year old system and mlb 17 was the last real change with ball physics being emphasized, Next Gen only is needed if we want any change, until then we're stuck with this.

@MarioMendoza935 same here, I'm at the same line you are at.

It is really disappointing this year. The forums have devolved into a pit of despair. I'm enjoying gameplay (in general), but disappointed in lack of "content". The SDS forum moderators are gone. I remember when I first started posting here in 2020, people were really helpful and there were a lot of "fun" threads. Now, most threads just sink into yelling matches. Sad. I don't know where SDS's head is at.
There's mass discontent. SDS put very little work into this game but at the same time made everything more difficult for NMS players.
The forums are firepits, kind of as they should be. SDS is hiding. -
I bought this game every year since they were 989 Sports. Last year's "Seasons" and not being able to use your players when you wanted was enough for me. I quit playing about the end of August last year and that was the first time I never played through to the next game release. Sounds like this year's game is really bad. How does it compare to 18? That is generally considered the worst Show ever released.

Despite the issues gameplay has, it’s still leaps and bounds better than 18 was
Content is mainly packs. Programs aren’t what they used to be.

If SDS actually came out and said "Hey MLBTS'ers - so, we need to sell a ton of packs this year to fund state-of-the-art servers, and a new engine for "next-gen" consoles", I probably could have gotten on board with that. I love transparency.

which is so obvious they are in the hole, they need more money, it's why we have the exact same legend pool. They spent the bag on Jeter's likeness.

I'm only replying in .gif form for the rest of the week.

@chucky97___ hey man, you can't call me out for not provide solutions but all you have is chalking it up to "it's not next Gen." Thats not a solution. But I'm not trying to argue anymore. I think it's bigger than that. Even if it was next gen (which yes fair enough) that's just one piece. That doesn't solve a dang thing for today or the next day or the next. In fact I'd argue it wouldn't solve anything for another 2-5 years when the next console is out.
PC remains master race because of this argument cause you now have allowed me to make the argument that NO it's not next Gen, put it all on PC and bam! Perfection!Edit: sorry I said I was done arguing then argued again. To the void.

That's the average Show player purchasing a 50 pack thinking he'll get even ONE diamond, Chase pack included.

This.
I had a theory that ‘23 was more monetized than ‘22 because they spent big to get Jeter, McGwire, Sosa, and the NGL and needed to recover money. If they came out today and apologized for this year’s [censored] show and said, “we’re going hard on packs because we are developing an entire new game engine with new modes and legends for ‘25” I would buy a 20 bundle a week and consider it an investment in a much better game.
But there is zero communication so we are left to assume the worst.

@AdeptOfMemory its like mid next gen, they have the next gen ability yet they refuse to leave ps4 behind.

Then I hope you don't play the stock market, lol...

The fact that they are not even acknowledging the community this year is wild to me. No streams and limited to no dev communication on the forums is so out of character.
