Diamond Quest - "Prime" version
-
I just played a 3 inning game on veteran in diamond quest and i knew I was not going to win the game on veteran after the 5th extra inning. The cpu was doing everything in its power to beat me. After spending two hours I lost everything. On veteran!! Something i would never lose in 99 out of a 100 times. They had the cpu turned up to the absolute max. They were not letting me win that game period. Unless this was the 1 put of a 100. But I dont think so. The cpu was jacked up.

Between the dice landing on “1” more than any other number and missing out on rewards more often than not unless played on GOAT difficulty it destroys all the potential fun the mode could have had. Such a let down.
-
I did the math, and with the average chance of winning the pack through my 4 attempts being 76.5%, there is only a 4% chance that I would only win the pack one time. So either I am extremely unlucky, or SDS is lying. I am going to make one more run and see what the results are.
-
Good luck, but be prepared for disappointment. SDS will just claim the odds are glitched. It’s a built in answer to all the “questionable” things happening in this year’s game. I’m sure packs have been glitched all year too.
Ohtani is a unicorn but you can easily get dupes of quick sell diamonds in subsequent packs or even the same pack on almost a daily basis. I don’t ever remember that happening prior to this year.
-
I’d rather have this then the Bases loaded strike out 3 batters without giving up a run challenges
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN yeah they are on some straight up bs this year!
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN game is completely geared towards the top 1 percent of players. Why else would br no longer have rewards unless you go 10 and 0 or win 10 games. Nobody is winning 10 games on that mode unless you are a top 1 percent player. Period. I dont know who they think they are fooling this year. With their money grab scheme.
-
Sure seems that way. At this rate the only people playing the game in the next couple years will be streamers. Maybe that’s what they want. Streamers willing to drop thousands of dollars on the game.
However when all the regular players stop playing nobody is gonna watch the streamers except for their streamer friends. This year was a massive overcorrection and if they don’t learn from it the bottom is going to fall out sooner than later.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN agreed. Let the streamers all play each other. Cause everyone else will be gone

The conspiracy theories are running wild around here today! Gotta love it.

Played another rd and again, beat the showdown all 19 times, but only received 5% boost after winning a showdown twice (please, someone tell me how to get 5% instead of 3%, or is it just chance?). This meant my % for winning the pack was 69% at All Star level and 77% at Hall of Fame. Played both 3 inning games at the Hall of Fame level for the 77% chance. Won both games but only got 1 pack.
The math. These two games played at 77% brings the average chance for all 6 games to 76.67%. I have won 2 of 6 times with those odds. The probability of achieving the desired result exactly twice in 6 attempts is approximately 2.39%. Something is wrong here SDS!
-
I just wasted a couple of hours doing the new diamond quest. Way too many showdowns and too time consuming and ended up only getting 1 pack that had a 5000 pitcher. I won’t do it again.
-
Not unless I want to get tagged with taking a loss and losing 5% each time. Mine glitches just about everytime I save and exit, every time I come back I get hit with abandoning a game.

This is exactly why I start these controversial threads.
-
@SavageSteve_MLBTS . After you play whatever the challenge is on that Square that you landed on then you need to move 1 space then save and exit diamond quest it's the only way to make it so it won't give you a lose and you loose peanuts or your 3 or 5%
-
Yeah, I do that every time now but there are times it still glitches. Not worth the risk anymore.

Just played another rd (2 hours wasted). Played the final 2 games with a 67% chance to win the pack (was tired and didn't want to pay HoF). I got 1 pack out of the two games. So I now have 3 successes out of 8 chances with the average odds of success for each attempt now at 74.25%. The odds of having 3 or less successful outcomes out of 8 attempts with the odds for success at 74.25% for each attempt is at 0.77%. That's right, less than one percent. SDS seems to be misrepresenting the truth here.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL I hope that's not where we are headed because if you've played Madden for the past few years it's at that point now. EA completely alienated the entire fan base.

You realize these two statements are diametrically opposed, right?
Gearing a game toward a tiny sliver of the user base sets an upper limit on potential revenue, thus making it NOT a money grab.

94 percent. Won on legend. No pack. This is BS and I’m considering requesting a refund for the game. It’s manipulative and fraudulent. The last diamond quest I won on 100 percent goat and SDS said whoops glitch please restart then never got back to me. It’s the prinicipal we are getting walked on
