Its unfathomable to me that any designer would look at the amount of loading screens they're forcing on you and think, "this is fine."

Like the title says. Brandon Phillips with homerun requirements. Note to SDS: THESE. ARE. NOT. FUN. All they are is frustrating.
-
Please, Please, please fix it so that when you finish a game in a multi game moment you return to the same screen that you left. Having to get back to Ivan Rodriguez's Program is REALLY annoying.
-
I like slappy hitters, but Geez guys. Why do you insist on having power moments for singles hitters? Every single time.
-
You're not wrong. Diamond Dynasty is definitely meant for the streamers, or at the very least the 2-3 hour/day player.
-
I think the problem is that they expected Showdowns to keep people busy. Unfortunately, a lot of the casual players hate them because of the stub cost. That is where they dropped the ball.
-
I'm an offline mostly player. I like the collection aspect of the game, but I've lost all taste for the gameplay. I just got Mickey and now I'm at a loss for anything to do or to look forward to. I want to use my DD squad, but there isn't anything for me. The only stat grinding I can do is innings for affinity, and that is a like using a rock hammer to tunnel out of prison.
Showdowns - The all or nothing aspect of these is terrible. Not to mention diamond fielding by scrubs and Perfect - Perfect lineouts all over the place. This was a good idea that has been poorly implemented. They require 45 minutes to 1 hour, and to wind up not progressing at all at the end of it is just bad design. The mini bosses should have given affinity as well, so that you actually got something for progressing through it.
I know that I'm ranting into the abyss. But after losing another showdown due to a robbed homerun I'm fecking steaming.

I got em all done in under an hour. Not difficult.
You’re our hero.
Just to prove it wasn’t a total fluke, can you try it again and see if you also get it done in like 50 minutes? Should be no problem for a stud like you.
That might be tough.
-Your hero.
To be fair, I also aced a few challenges on the first attempt that drove some others crazy in the past few years. Two XBH with weak-hitting JP Crawford in one game, or four hits, a run, 2 RBI In a game with Neil Walker... but I never said it wasn’t tough. I just knew I had some luck.
Of course there are some tough moments... There are at least five threads here complaining about this one though. Seems like people don't want challenges, and then they blame SDS. Crazy.
The problem is that any player with a sub 80 power rating is almost immediately useless. The way the game is set up power is the only thing that matters. Contact helps, but with no power you're just at too much of a disadvantage
While this might be true in H2H games, does it really have anything to do with the Phillips program?
Are you joking? Half of them require homeruns and the other half require XBH. Without any power you're completely reliant on luck to pass them.

My CAP is at catcher with "The Hawk" loadout. His fielding and accuracy are supposedly 99 each, but he keeps dropping everything and his throw indicator is miniscule. How did this not get addressed in the most recent patch? Hasn't this been an issue since launch?
-
Great job guys, stuck in a freeze off after you supposedly fixed it. Great job
-
Showdown's were meant for one thing, to eat stubs from the less experienced players. They're hoping that you'll pay more money for more stubs. When people figured out that you could break even, they had to change it or else their scam wouldn't work anymore.
-
Agree with OP. Having three Perfect / Perfect liners be gimme outs for the CPU isn't fun, especially when It is supposed to be Rookie (1st Inning Showdown is laughably juiced).
-
Don't get me started on the hitters taking pitches millimeters out of the zone with 2 strikes.. And I don't mean once or twice,, it was every [censored] hitter.

Title says it all. Veteran my sweet can.
The 3 inning game vs Snell was NOT on veteran. Everything else seemed like it was tho?
That's what I'm talking about. It says veteran for the three inning moment, but it is ANYTHING but Veteran

In Andre Dawson moments I just hit a pitch on the outside corner. Off the bat it said "Perfect/ Perfect Flyball". Then it went foul and it changed to "Late / OK". Bug report this or known issue?

WTF, I can't be the only one who absolutely HATED 8 TB moments wiith Abreu and Olerud. Two hitters with sub 100 power asked to go yard twice. That's effing stupid.
These new moments
Another contact/singles hitter with power hitter moments
Multi-game moments still have huge design flaw
Geez...Another slappy program with no power and all power moments
Road to 300 compared to last year
Offline DD - No path to 300 without Showdown or expensive collections is killing my desire to continue.
No Money spent Mickey - Now what?

My Ballplayer catcher still broken
Aaaaaaaaand....I'm in another freeze off after the patch
When did they change showdown rewards?
Showdown is not on Veteran
