There are perfect perfect fly balls, line drives and grounders. You have to have the perfect perfect fly one for it to guarantee it goes, line drives can go too, but sometimes they hit the wall, become line outs, go to the gap etc. ground ones same thing, they’re smoked but sometimes they’re outs, most of they time they’re base hits or hard ground outs. It’s working great so far. Love hitting this year

You also get solid XP for beating the mini showdown and a pack. The final showdown is 2k XP too.

You get your stubs back if you lock in and do decent in the showdown. I think the guys who are upset are those who struggle to hit and will have to do these things many times to beat them.

Just to clarify even more, Cal Ripken might have a SS, Prime, and MVP Card, (all of which would be 99) but the SS would have a 3B secondary while the MVP or Prime may not.

To me the difference between Prime and SS is:

PRIME = Best 2-3 consecutive years. Ripken could be years 89-91
SS = Best 3 years over their entire career. Ripken could be years 83,84 and 91.

For alot of other players these may be the same, so they may not get both cards.

The Award cards will be single season cards, like hardware were in '19, nothing really new there.
