I just bought the game for $20 on PS5. Thought it would be a good winter game to play while I wait for 24 to come out. I see we are on set 5 and can only use set 4, 5, and core players with 1 wild card. Can I not get or use any of the previous set cards? I have started on conquest to try and earn what I can to try and have a competitive team for events and battle royal, but there are cards I just want to play with that are in different sets. Am I just out of luck until the forever program comes out or is the set thing going to be there until the new release? Thanks for any help/advice.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the fact of where in the strike zone you hit your perfect/perfect. It matters. if it's dead center of the zone and you hit perfect then I could see the argument, but out of all the complaints about perfect not being home runs every time is absurd. Where the pitch in the zone matters, just like real baseball. JMO.

Played an event last night. Up 4-0 in the first inning. Couldn't miss. Base hits, 2 home runs. Struck him out 3 times. 2nd inning, first batter. He has the same pitcher but hit pause for a minute and a half before the first pitch. He had him in the rest of the game and I never got another hit. I switched pitchers in the next 2 innings 4 times because he hit 7 home runs out of 10 batters with pitches in the dirt and a foot outside. Did he do something in the pause menu to affect the game? Then he sent me a message after the game with some vulger comments. I reported him but not sure if anyone pays attention to that

Agreed OP. Too much BS online. I used to think COD was bad online until I started playing this game online the last 2 years. I have google fiber and a monitor and the lag and idiots online make it no fun. I play to have fun, not struggle or get mad at servers and other people. The struggle with the game is frustrating enough offline. I don't need to go back online to make it worst.

When I have Brett batting third, he is a beast. Anywhere else, I am just average with him. Pretty sure it's a mental thing.

I hit a perfect/early line drive to third. I thought it was going to be caught. It wasn't. He tapped it to the shortstop who caught it. It bounced off his glove and right to the shortstop, who was moving in that direction. Haven't seen that before. Wish I would have saved the replay.

I played 21 on Xbox one. Before I bought '22, I bought a PS5. '21 played awesome on xbox. I have a lot of lag issues online, now, that I didn't have last year. I have played a total of 10 games on RS and BR since it came out. I am 0-10. It's not worth the headache. I'm not the best, but I do play, what I would call average, in all other modes on All star and hall of fame. I tried a bunch of things that were suggested to do like ISP address and such. Nothing worked for me. Internet is consistent 460 download and 22 upload. I bought the PS5 to better compete in PGA2K21, which I do, but it seems as it was a mistake not to by the new Xbox. I have been hearing the game plays better on it.

I finally decided to play an event this weekend. I played 4 games (2 entries). I straight up lost 1 game and wasn't hitting very well. The lag threw off my timing, but to be expected. In the other 3 games, like clockwork, they couldn't hit me at all. Pitching is my strong suit. but the last batter, which was a sub for the pitcher in all 3 games, 1st pitch homer with the ball out of the strike zone for the win (I was the visiting team all 3 times). Has this specific situation happened to anyone else? After it happened in the last game I though, maybe if I try to play online again and this situation happens, I will just hit his sub. Thoughts???

I played mini seasons yesterday for 6 hours and started at 480,000 xp and only gained 90,000. I was finishing May monthly and other challenges with my lineup. It seemed like I wasn't moving up the xp ladder very fast, so I played a couple of daily challenges and program challenges and they were only worth the 1,000 xp it said they were. I thought we were on double xp? Shouldn't all of these counted for double points? Anyone else having this issue? I'm on PS5. Thanks.

I have a PS5. I am hard wired to my router. My download is 425-450 and my upload is 18-25. I have a brand new 65" vizio tv and have set the PS5 to performance mode. Also, I have tried game mode on the TV. I can't play ANY online modes without lag. I've tried cross play off and made sure the only devices online at the time were necessities(4 wireless devices). Does anyone have any advice? The other game modes run smooth. I only have this problem online. Sometimes it runs smooth for a couple of innings, but then it happens. I've had this problem since it was released. I had an Xbox one last year for mlb 21 and didn't have this issue. Could it be a game server issue? I live in the midwest. Thanks for any input on this.
