I think it’s broke on the lower difficulties with way too much rng affecting the outcomes. Above veteran the hitting gets better.
Veteran difficulty ends after you pass spring training. And All Star is hell. Game doesn’t become remotely playable online until you reach Hall of Fame at 700. Not sure what game your playing.
A the douchebag elitist. Get lost buddy nobody is talking to you here and we certainly don’t need your contrarian humble brag. You literally spend your entire time here like a bunch of the other clowns complaining about the complainers. You do know what that makes you right?
Wow, what a mature response. Someone corrects your false information and you pitch a temper tantrum. Just another example of a young adult with the intellect of a small child. Disagree with me and I’ll call you names and put false labels on you to soothe my fragile ego.

So I guess if you were undefeated then the game would be just right?
So tired of you people not wanting any challenges in this game.
Don’t be tired, bro, and don’t put words in my mouth. I didn’t say I should be undefeated, or that the game shouldn’t be challenging. I’m 51-30 and my average is like .230-something. What does that tell you?
I just played a guy who had everyone in his lineup to P5, with tons of homers and RBIs, but his highest batting average was .215 (Charisma Wander Franco). Most guys were between .140-.175 (including WBC Trout).
Take the streamers and goons out of the equation, and nearly everyone struggles to score runs. You think that’s how it should be? Twelve or more strikeouts every game? I don’t think a video game should play like that.
So in other words your hitting stats are on par with some mid to lower tier Major League Baseball clubs. And as you said you’re just about average to just above average player in this game. Am I missing something? Sounds like the game is playing just right for you as far as the skill aspect of the game. Just an unbiased observation here.
My unbiased opinion is that the game is too hard only when connection between players isn’t optimal and that happens more often than not. If SDS manages to fix the connectivity issues and foul balls the game will be so much better
I agree100% with the connection issues that why I believe that your connection to the game should be tested prior to entering into matchmaking of any sort. If you don’t meet a minimum standard you are returned to the lobby or timed out altogether to reestablish your connection. It’s not hard to implement as other games do this exact thing to maintain connection integrity between players. This would make people take responsibility for their poor connections and force them to fix it or forego the ability to play in head to head matchups. But that just my opinion and you know what opinions are like.

@Xfoufoufou_PSN said in how about you make Rage Quit HR and stats count SDS:
Man the amount of time I hit a HR and then the Rage quit and the stats don't count .. How about you guys make these count SDS why do
you wanna incorporate this toxic thing in your game ?Everybody does this just a way to get revenge on the player that's whipping you .
Man you guys actually suck as dev you can't fix well
known stuff for years .Ok I’m gonna explain this one more time!!! When a player dashboards (meaning disconnects from the server without properly requesting to quit) it’s like the matchup never happened. These are peer to peer servers meaning there is a host (one of the two players). Hopefully the player with the theoretical better connection. When a dashboard occurs it sends the lone remaining player back to a lobby this is why the dashboarder takes the loss and the other guy takes a win. If these were dedicated servers than dashboarding wouldn’t be an issue because the server doesn’t close therefore recording the info from the game. Problem is dedicated servers are far too expensive to waste on a game where 2 people are playing at a time. SDS is not going to sink millions into technology which doesn’t benefit them. No sports game uses dedicated server due to this issue. Not madden, not fifa, or not pga golf or any other game where there are only two users. COD uses dedicated servers because they can have 100’s of people in one lobby at a time. But it didn’t used to be that way. This is why your stats will never count in a dashboard situation. Now there is no reason that SDS can’t implement cool downs to curb this behavior. I guess they figure that they would penalizing too many people that have legit disconnects due to bandwidth issues or other isp related problems. My personal opinion is, that if your internet connection isn’t sufficient to not affect the game you probably shouldn’t be subjecting yourself or your opponent to it either. Just my take though!

Lol this is great, we want more content SDS, fresh and new. Ok here you go….same people this isn’t what we wanted so complain complain complain
These forums have become so toxic over the past few years. I used to enjoy coming here to talk about baseball and this game and now I spend my time scrolling through one silly complaint after another. And some of these people go off the deep end with the complaining. I never have understood why someone would continue to torture themselves by playing a game that they seemingly don’t like. Instead they spend their free time complaining about it rather than finding something else enjoyable to do. And I want to point out that the complaints are usually based around the skill features of the game like directional hitting verses zone and the different pitching modes. It’s always the person who wants to compete at a high level using a less skillful approach rather than putting the effort to perfect the skilled approach. I guess it’s just another commentary on the society that we live in where people just want to be given something without having to do anything. When I was growing up those people were called lazy.

For all you complainers out there, this thread is an example of a useful post. Clearly the op GETS it. Instead of complaining he offers useful insite and most importantly a solution. Great post bud

I remember when extreme was truly extreme. 4 dingers with Gehrig on Hall of Fame difficulty. Or trying to take a territory by a certain turn and it requires you steal fans on Hall of Fame difficulty or higher to be able to accomplish the task. Or facing Bob Gibson on HOF difficulty in a Showdown. But the grind was worth it because the reward was an ultra rare sellable card. But the crybabies did us in. Complaining that it was too hard to complete and that it wasn’t fair that they couldn’t get the reward because extreme actually required a modicum amount of skill to accomplish. Just like the crybabies complained so loudly about br that SDS caves and gave them a program so they could get the same rewards as the actual 12-0 guys got. So nah, not really looking forward to playing a bunch of moments or 3 inning games on AS difficulty.

SDS, can we please work on getting this players rights? I have been waiting for years for this player to show up and come away disappointed every time. While his career was quite short compared to other HoF’s he is arguably one of the top five greatest lefties to pitch in the game. He would be a nice addition to this game. I’m sure I’m not the only one out here that wants to see this player included in the game.

Didn’t play allday finally hop on w friends get 2 outs disconnect from servers for 3 seconds and now I have a 4 hour cooldown?!?! This games Pathetic
Hate to be the guy to tell you this, if you have a garbage connection, do everyone a favor and dont play RS or coop. Not only is it not pleasant for you it’s really an unpleasant experience for everyone else. Sorry but not sorry

Not gonna lie, I’m used to playing on much higher difficulty levels so when you say that hits are nerfed you are correct. On rookie and veteran difficulties the ball seems like they have lead anchors attached to them.
-
Not sure why there is so much animosity toward this games inclusion of the Kaiju storyline. I think it’s imaginative and takes some of the staleness away from the DD grind. The storylines are hilarious. The game is still the same. It’s not like the monsters are playing the game. I know it’s a bit childish but baseball is a child’s game and adults still watch it wishing we could still be playing. If you don’t like it just ignore the scenery and skip the storyline.

@Firestormx_MLBTS said in SDS: Non-Sellable rewards:
If they're going to be non-sellable they need to lower the entry cost or at the least give more stubs along the way to compensate the avg-poor players for the ton of stubs they will lose grinding the program. I hate this change and the one in ranked just like it. Makes me not want to play online at all. I'll never go 12-0 or reach 900 so I see this as a big middle finger from SDS
BR is not intended to be played by the casual player. It was always intended to the most competitive game mode in the game. SDS only made the program to appeal to the casual gamer. Those who go 12-0 do t play the mode for the program. They’re playing it for the competition and the elite rewards that go along with the competition. All you want is to have what you don’t deserve.

@dap1234567890 said in Since when did rookies become so entitled:
Last year we had a rookie that spent the first half of the season getting rung up on some ridiculously horrible calls. Finally after three months enough players and the MLBPA complained enough that the rookie finally was getting treated with some respect from the umpires. I don't think that is acceptable!
Idk maybe it’s me being an old school old guy who still believes that there are unwritten rules and a hierarchy that these kids should have to navigate as part of the rites of passage to being a big leaguer.

@IrishFist412_MLBTS said in What’s your limit?:
No limit…If I get up & my opponent quits I get the win. If I’m losing then I’m racking up innings for the program…RS truly is win/win now.
I want to play this guy!!!

@TripleH-4481_PSN said in 99's day one (if you buy stubs):
Far more players have quit early this year due to frustration than in previous years due to boredom.
Where is the proof of this? How in the heck do you know who has quit this game and who hasn’t? I find this issue to be common with you, make some absurd statement and expect the community to just take your word for it. Just because someone say it in the forum doesn’t actually mean it’s the case. I see a lot post where people claim to be quitting and then read a post from the same person a day later stating the same thing from the previous day. How about we stick to the facts of the argument rather than introducing conjecture just because it suits your agenda.

@Dookie-Possum_XBL said in New Personal Best!:
Played 4 games tonight and quit before the third inning in all of them. Including two against Randy before I even threw a pitch! What’s your personal best quit streak? I just don’t care about stats anymore. I just want to have fun. So if I haven’t got a hit or at least a run by the 3rd, I’m out.
Can I play you every game? Getting to WS would be much easier

@inferno_lulu_PSN said in Disconnecting from TheShow servers continuously:
It’s the servers.
It’s not the servers. Please, if you don’t know what your talking about don’t make some far fetching comment. If it were the servers than everybody would be disconnecting constantly. This is a problem on the OP’s end . I can confidently make that assertion because I work for a huge ISP. His problem is most likely an issue in either the plant that he connects to or the premises that his modem is located in. Without a visit from his isp he won’t know if it’s his problem or his ISP’s problem. What he is experiencing is modem timeouts which cause momentary disconnects. Which he might not even notice if he wasn’t playing a game which requires a consistent connection. Nothing is more irritating than being told something by someone who is just as clueless as they are.
