That’s most likely true but it’s a little mind blowing that cease has been arguably the best pitcher in the AL this season and still doesn’t have a diamond in August

I remember playing MVP when Manny Ramirez was on the cover. Great game. With that said, if you have been playing Madden Ulyimate team the last few years you know that it is a complete [censored] show. They can't release anything with out screwing it up (no exaggeration). Also EA is completely pay to play. You can grind all you want and the grand reward is a low elite that you can't even put into sets to earn a better card. Everything operates on real money at EA and their game play still is filled with glitches. They have 4 times the staff as SDS but still can't put out a good game. I'm not saying gameplay on the show is great but atleast I can't get every card without spending a dime.

Yea this pretty much sums up the EA experience. You used to be able to field a decent squad in madden going nms but it’s impossible now. From the arduous offline grinds for pitiful rewards, to having a different currency for every program, to packs that can only be bought by using real money it’s pretty clear that EA’s main goal is to milk every penny from their player base. Add in coin sinks like power ups and x-factors/superstar abilities if you’re not spending real money or devoting your life to the game it’s tough to build a good team.

I’m not saying that the show doesn’t have flaws because it does, but I started playing DD in 2017 and one thing that SDS has done really well is made it pretty easy to obtain any cards you want just by playing the game. It would be great for them to have some competition to push them a little but anyone who thinks EA is going to step in a create some vastly superior product after not making a baseball game for nearly two decades is kidding themselves

LS reward this year are a huge disappointment in general. Randy and mussina are great, but frank is a bench bat, clemente has a love it or hate it swing, young has horrible power, glaus is Jack of all trades master of none, Gwynn has power in the 30s, gibson and grady are already replaced, keuchel is good, but people are beginning to hit him. The rest are of corse not great, prince fielder never gets a good card and he suffers from the abundance of first baseman.

Edit. Forgot about Utley, Utley is a win.

The fact that the 3 of the 5 AL central team collection rewards are first basemen with no secondary position makes no sense whatsoever

Your premise that server issues being tied to there being multiple platforms is purely speculative. There’s no real evidence to suggest that multiple platforms are the issue.

The title of your post is about cross play being taken away, you can control this by turning it off to guarantee that you matchup with someone on the same console. This should then alleviate your proposed issue of software conversions.

It's ONLY controlling if I want to cross play or not. Even if turned off. Those from PS4 I am being matched up with is STILL coming from the same source or ONLY 1 server handling all the Bandwidth & Software Conversions f 5 different consoles. I work in the Computer IT dept for a firm. I'm not a 16 year kid. So what I do say does hold merit. I can NOT say for sure because I am NOT at SDS to inspect their servers & software being used. However based on what I am seeing. In My PROFESSIONAL opinion. The problem is using ONLY 1 sever across multiple platforms. It's the equivalent or trying to get Microsoft, Mac & ChromeBook to run the same program all together within each other at the same time under 1 server & that 1 server converting all the software of 3 different operating systems to be properly in sync.

If crossplay really was the problem then the servers should have been a much bigger issue last year. Outside of launch they really weren’t any worse than previous years.

Think about what you just finished saying with that we have always had server problems before when it was ONLY 1 console. Look how worse the issues are now currently & there now being 5 different consoles. So common sense & logic will conclude that 1 server handling 5 different consoles what is leading to all the ADDED issues this year.

I will happily put up with the server issues we had back in 18, 19 & 20 then compared to the issues we are putting up right now with.

So you want the game to compensate for people who use easier in put methods? PPP and zone hitting are the most difficult options and should be rewarded as such. In competitive game modes user input should be the biggest factor in determining success. If you’re using an input method that requires less skill you should be at a disadvantage. I don’t want to come off as rude but if you can’t master the input methods that will give you the best chance to be successful that’s a you problem not a problem with the game

It’s not worth it. Buying packs is never worth it. Just keep saving or use that nice bank roll to flip cards on the market

Not sure which is more frustrating, people being able to execute perfect suicide squeezes with power hitters that have terrible bunt attributes or the fact that it’s pretty much impossible to lay down a sac bunt without it being a double play or having to run the risk of starting the runner

Did anyone else notice in the legends trailer there was a shot of Willson Contreras and he was wearing Nike catchers gear? I know it’s a purely aesthetic thing but I always thought it was strange that they didn’t have Nike catchers gear even though they have other Nike equipment in the game. So many major league catchers wear Nike so it’ll be nice to not see all the generic gear.

How does this apply to the pitcher though? If you boost input on the hitting side you automatically decrease the importance of having good pitchers. If your really good with pci, it doesn’t matter who’s pitching in this setup.

That’s where knowing how to pitch comes in to play. Being able to tunnel and change speeds to keep people off balance.

One of the biggest issues with 20 was way too many meatballs with good input when pitching so it should balance out.

There are always going to be pci gods but most average players aren’t going to have to worry about playing them.

User input mattering more for hitting and pitch are the biggest two for me. Check swings need to be fixed. I’ve played way too many people have check swung 30+ times a game only to have 4 of them be called swings. Pitches on the black being called balls is a huge problem too. There are way too many foul balls on poorly timed swings on pitches out of the zone.

For multi game moments it would be nice to go from one game to the next without having to go all the way back to the moments menu. If there’s one thing that madden has gotten right recently it’s that you can roll from one solo challenge right into the next
