@SaveFarris You have to wonder how many of those guys would actually say no to being in the game without getting paid though? Hard to imagine SDS would reach out to ask, but me being a 90's kid I find it hard they can't find ways to get guys like Mo Vaugh, Nomar, Paul O'Neill, Galarraga, Moises Alou, Burnitz, Javy lopez, Ray Lankford, Jeff Kent, Rolen, Raul Mondesi......and I mean that was just loooking at 1998.

There are SO many more they could attempt to put in this game and whether people care or not, it will give the game a little more variety because the last 2 years its been STALE AF

@sbchamps17 The younger crowd...yeah, I guess. Just feels like the older Show's of 16,17, 18 etc put such an emphasis on legeds and the game was so much more fun. Now we're stuck getting 5 Cal Raleighs and our choice of 12 Shwarbers.

Makes sense, just tough to understand how Madden and 2K have just about every legend you could think of and The Show has trouble retaining or acquiring guys. And I don't buy the "small company" thing...they are a first party developer for Sony. If they needed the money it's there. Not to mention its an award winning game that sells like crazy.

The process must just be different and a bit more difficult.

Could atleast bump up the packs/stubs along the way for those of us who likely wont finish. Something is better than nothing.

Between Weekly Wonders, Conquests, mini seasons, other programs, the xp rewards, etc, how much more free [censored] do we really need here? Is this really what this community has become? A group that will never be satisfied no matter what we get?

I've been playing this game long enough to know that this year we are getting MUCH less for MUCH more grinding. Thats an absolute fact.

I'm absolutely OK with the fact that these things take time. As they should. It's just my opinion that this year in particular, acquiring decent cards and keeping up with everything takes far more time than it should.

If you are a serious grinder and this is up your wheelhouse, all the props in the world. Just doesn't seem like they gave much thought to the casual's who can't log 20+ hours a week. Could atleast bump up the packs/stubs along the way for those of us who likely wont finish. Something is better than nothing.

So do less to get the same or more reward than someone who does more? Lol trophies for everyone!!

Nah. You just shouldn't need to grind a thousand hours to get a 97 overall "Slick Nick" that is probably never going to be used.

Or, the rewards should simply be better if all this time is going into it.

It's a figure of speech I assumed most were familiar with. Like, "I'm about to put in work on this chicken parm"...or "I'm about to do work on your girl". Sorry for not clarifying.

I have no problem working hard. I've logged probably 20-30 hours into this TA program so far....and im under 45% in every division. It's a very helpless feeling for a game that I truly love. This morning alone I put about 2 hours of work in and all I had to show for it was a single Future Star pack and an Unlockable pack and maybe about 2k worth of stubs.

Truly baffling that they are really only catering to the Show player who can log 5-6 hours a day.

I feel like this year, they have tightened up big time on packs. I rarely see BIAH packs. Conquest maps used to be loaded with stuff to open upon completion....just seems much, much less this year.

I get it, this years game is geared towards those who can grind like its a full time job. Atleast throw those of us who can't sit for 25 hours a week a couple bones or something. Even standard packs help us feel like we accomplished SOMETHING.

You aren't alone dude. I've only played I think 17 ranked games this year? In comparison to previous years, its crazy low. I find most of the time I fire up the game I'm stuck grinding moments or conquests agains the CPU just so i can try and keep pace with what's been coming out but I agree in this sense the game has lost a bit of it's flare. Absolute heaven for those who can log 30-40 hours a week playing the game, but for us casuals who can only play a few hours this ain't for us. The only thing in the past that helped was flipping cards, and even that now is 4x the grind it used to be.

With that said, gameplay is fantastic. Just copped a PS5 a few weeks back and my goodness what a difference....I actually WANT to play the game again.

It's not a milestone or signature card It's a Awards card from 2019 so of course he dosn't have catcher as a secondary. You could always try him there and see if it works out though.

The point isn’t what type of card but why release a Santana card that doesn’t have Catcher as a secondary position. What could have been a useful card for a long time is now basically a worthless card.

For years now have seen posts on here how people absolutely love his swing, and being a switch hitter i can guarantee you’re gonna see him a ton online. Even if there are “better” options at first

I’m legitimately baffled at the over dramatics here…it’s a freakin video game guys.

Also- the grind is not nearly as bad as you are all making it out to be. 21 really screwed everything up by making it easy as all h*ll to acquire cards. But ya know what would happen then? The forums were flooded with people crying about that and how everyone is rolling out the same lineup.

The pitching is far too easy to control, making virtually anyone capable of giving up only a fluke homer here and there but otherwise dominating most offenses, especially at mid levels of RS.

And the hitting is next to impossible when guys can constantly dot corners and edges with ridiculous breaking balls and impossibly quick fastballs, and I’m on a 1ms response monitor.

And when you do get a good contact, the fielders can now make ridiculous diving plays consistently.

Addiction is a hard thing to break, we come back again and again to play a game that drives us crazy and largely wastes our time, we have become insane because of it.

This game is the only thing I complain about in life. It makes me a worse person. I’ve been playing for so many years that it’s a tough thing to break, I want to so badly. The past two years especially have truly sucked for the show franchise. It has never felt worse.

It ain’t that serious man. If you don’t enjoy it, don’t play it
